A very good book to know the general information and history of Laos society. This book is not for the tourists who are head to Laos but it contains very essential knowledge for the people who wish to conduct some business projects (or investments) there. Since the book is published in 2006, some illustration especially some data listed are behind the times. But it is still worth to have a read.
