2.5 stars I had read that this could be read as a standalone novel even though it is the 7th book in the series. But I almost gave up after the 1st third of the book was just a prolonged hunt. After the story actually switched to Robyn I was glad that I hung on. But of all the retellings of Robin that I've read I must say that I liked this one the least. Robin doesn't Maybe if I'd read the prior 6 books in the series I would have enjoyed it more.
This story was like a double edged sword, great in the telling with lots of action, fun and laughter. It was also sad and weepy. I enjoy the women and their antics in this series, their fierce Love for one another and their unwavering dedication to protect humanity and all the things that make us human.
The story was good. Robyn and Amanda made a wonderful couple. Their abilities playing off each other making them a great pairing. The ending though was such a terrible, crushing heartbreak.
Love the series it is a great replacement for the missing Valkyrie chronicles. Both of these series I have post postponed whatever else I was reading to read these stories. Love the characters. Not happy with the red hood outcome. Lol
Okay So my issues are this , the story is supposed to be fiction, a fairytale, most all fairytales and where they happily ever after that did not happen here. So I refuse to read anymore of his books. I am now adding this author to my do not read list. It is a sad day because I really enjoyed all of his work, until this book happened.....
One of them goes down. So not fair. You foreshadowed the hell out of it, but it still made me lose my breathe. Can't wait to see if you make it right...or just follow with more of them like the text suggests.
I was unable to continue listening to any books in this series after the third one. Sucked for me, I just couldn’t find any more of Erik Schubach’s books on audible, sucks. Reading them I couldn’t get the right accents,in my head all the characters come out sounding like CHARRO, Not the same, sorry again. Lol. This one was a serious page turner, the story of Robyn Hood, a red-haired, sexy woman. WOW! 👀! Robyn was a perfect fit for this group of warriors. Mandy is still a Beta, but Robyn is just what she needed. Mr. Schubach, Thank You for giving me a whole new world of Fairy Tales to (listen to) read. Thanks for getting me back to the Fantastic, but Romance in reading. I never thought I would read anything a man wrote about strong women characters that weren’t killed like she lived. I plan to keep looking for your books on audible to add to my library. The entire series is worth repeat listening to and reading. Thanks.
A continuation of the Urban Fairy Tale series, the stakes are higher and the danger more intense as the group faces down demons. This story moved a little too quickly for its pacing, could’ve had some slower moments in between the action with a little more focus on relationship building rather than running directly to the “I love yous.”
After the previous novels, this one had an ending that was heart wrenching. Not quite the BYG trope, because it was an heroic send off, it was still a sad end.
Excellent writing per usual, but there was an event that I did not expect. I was left in tears for the first time ever with Erik. I am completely devastated by the ending of this book and will probably cry about it for days to come. The tears make me love his writing even more because life is not fair, and devastating events do happen. Thanks for the heartbreak, I look forward to finishing the series.

Good addition to the story line with a tragic ending. Even managed a platypus mention. Now I have to wait for the next one to come out on Audible to see what happens next. I know I could read it but I am trying not cheat.
This was yet again, another wonderful book by Erik. I love the interactions between Robyn and Amanda. Playful and funny :)
The ending however is where, for the first time ever, I subtract a star from one of Erik's books. It deserves 5 stars, it really does... I just can't bring myself to give it that. At least I waited and gave it 4 instead of the 2 I wanted to give it right after I finished reading ;)
