From USA Today Best Selling Author comes the first book in a series of standalone's: The Saints Series.

She told me Heaven would knock on my door one day. That I would be swept away from the hell I lived in. She was right about one thing and so wrong about the other. Heaven came in the form of an angel just like she said. Beautiful. Perfect. An angel. And then. My life became hell. She disappeared. Vanished. I left. Went to war. Killed. All for her. Every face was the man who took her. Every dream filled with her. For twelve years I existed in hell. Breathed in the fires from down below. Until her, the woman on the beach outside of my home. Captivating. Enchanting. Mesmerizing. It couldn't be my Cora, my angel, my heaven on earth. She was dead. Wasn't she?

3.5 Stars. Sometimes love forces you to make difficult decisions that cause a hurt unlike any felt before and evil shamelessly manipulates the beautiful bond formed when two people are meant to be. That is what Cora and Riddick experienced, but time did not dull what they once felt. While the plot seemed a bit of a stretch, it was quite entertaining. Riddick, a former bad boy turned police officer, has kept the Cora-shaped space in his heart vacant, even when he thought his love was gone forever. Cora has not been able to move on from the man that gave her something so very special when he gave his love. The reunion is very touching. It was refreshing to read about a tough guy that was not afraid to be open about his feelings. All his friends knew about Cora! Cora was portrayed well in her responsibilities with plenty of development to flesh out her character. Though it wasn't as visible with Riddick, I was still able to get a good sense of who he is. The pacing flowed for the most part with a few instances that did not transition as well. The prose was average for me with some areas strong and clear while others not. The cross best friend conflict felt poorly set up but it has potential. There was enough substance for me to be interested in continuing. All in all a good read. Safety: There was one other man for the heroine during the separation. It is unclear if there were other women for the hero. However, I would suppose so. The hero is so devoted to his love that I did not find it difficult to accept as an assumption. Even more so when he thought her dead. No rape but the threat of it. Yes to abuse.

RIDDICK: Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives' This is my first time read by this author but it won't be the last. I really need to check out this authors other works!!

In the first chapter we get a feel of the taboo secret relationship between these two star crossed lovers hidden under wraps between Cora and Riddick, they both knew war would be declared if their secret love came out.

The author has set a fast paced dialogue, like a jigsaw puzzle we need to place the pieces where they fit, I feel as though I needed to get the back ground feels of these two characters that met at such a young age, we're told how they met, we're told why their relationship is taboo but the connection I need at this early stage in the book is missing for me.

Cora is the daughter of an ex gang leader 'The Almighty Sinner' both of her parents had been gunned down by a gang related drive by shooting. Her only surviving relative is her brother.

It was rumoured that Riddicks father had something to do with their murders but nothing was ever proven.

Beaten by her brothers own hands, chased out of town and told never to return, she had no choice but to protect the one boy she loved, yet again alone in the world pregnant with Riddicks son, a son he will never get to meet.

TWELVE YEARS LATER:

Both think the other is dead, what's going to happen when their two worlds Collide

Once you reach this part in the story it all starts coming together and it flows much smoother, I felt as though before this part within the story my brain was going to do an explosion of words because so much information was thrown at us in such a short span of time.

For me this is where I started to really enjoy the story, their worlds collide, the deception, years spent apart, Cora raising their child alone thinking Riddick dead all those years ago at the hands of her brother and his friend. So many obstacles set to keep them apart.

But when she's your heaven, your angel, your reason for breathing the only obstacle in their way is themselves, when you've got your soul mate beside you nothing is unachievable and these two fight tooth and nail to hold onto each other, an undeniable love.

Like an onion Riddick has so many layers to him, as you read through the chapters each layer is peeled away.

A second chance romance a hot alpha male and a strong heroine will have you hooked on their story and begging for the next book within this series release date one I'll definitely be reading.

So I've been reading Kathy since Shelter Me her very first book. I love how much she has grown as a writer and this book here just shows that! She has blown me away with this book. Riddick is NOTHING what I thought he would be! I'm in love with his character! I wasn't so sure what to think as I first started reading. I literally wanted to hid under my covers because from the start it starts with a BANG!! I was blown away how Riddick and Cora have gone through so much.

Cora blew me away with her backbone. How she became the woman that she is today is remarkable. I love how she takes life and just goes with it.

I have to say to me this is Kathy's best book to date! I love the whole gang and am very excited about this new series! I love when you have an author who ends a series and just starts a new one and gets you sucked into this new series! Keep up the great work Kathy!

Kathy Coopmans is a new author for me and I was very excited when I received my advance readers copy of Riddick, first book in her new series... I loved the blurb and I had a feeling this will be one heck of a read. I was right! Hooked from the first page!
Kathy created two strong characters brought together after 12 years apart.
They suffered, and endured so much tragedy. I loved them both equally.

Riddick was a true alpha male, ex military, motor bike riding hunk. Add some tattoos and kind heart to that description and you have a ultimate book boyfriend. On the other side, there was Cora. At times a kick ass heroine, but mostly just a wonderful, protective mother and a loving human being. I was surprised how strong and independent she was.
If you love second chance romance, you will like this one too.
This is not a classic MC romance, but I am pretty sure all MC romance fans will love it.
I don't want to reveal too much, so you just have to pick this up and read it yourself.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Well done Kathy!

A powerful love and an intense second chance romance

3 stars

I’m such a sucker for this kind of storyline, and as soon as I saw blurb for this book, I knew I had to read it. This is my first read by Kathy Coopmans and I was easily caught up in the intensity of her story of two tormented souls finding their way back to each other.

Cora and Riddick were a modern-day Romeo and Juliette – falling in love as teenagers from rival families, only to be torn apart in violent, heartbreaking circumstances.

My heaven was robbed from me. Short-lived. And now I live in hell.

Cora found her way with the help of a family that took her in, cared for her and helped her get back on her feet. Riddick took his rage and devastation and become a soldier, fighting in Afghanistan before returning home and entering the Police force. For 12 years they have each lived in torment with the shadow of grief over them, believing the love of their life is gone forever, but their dreams of a life together living on the beach has drawn them to the same place, and all of their longing comes to an emotional end as they unexpectedly find each other again.

“You’re my heaven on earth, my angel.”

Their reunion is intense and emotional and clearly a reconnection of two soul mates who are destined to be together. There’s no game playing and I love how functional they are together and how neither of them hold anything back. Their love had burned brightly in all of their years apart and they weren’t going to waste another moment without each other, and I loved that!! I could feel the emotion between them and the ‘rightness’ of them as a couple, and their journey felt more like a continuous love story than a second-chance-romance.

“No-one is going to stop us this time. Or ever again. I’ll kill anyone who tries to come between us. I swear to fucking God, I will.”

But the evil that tore them apart isn’t done with them yet, and as they untangle the questions from the past, they realise the very real danger that still exists for them.

I enjoyed this book. Written in dual POV, Cora and Riddick’s story is interesting, intense and full of emotion, and moves at a great pace. The romance is captivating and exciting, the sexy time is intense and passionate and a little bit dirty, and the love between them is evident in each and every interaction. I also loved the strong theme of family (real and made), especially Ethan’s part in the story, and I thought that all of the relationships were nicely developed.

However I wasn’t initially as emotionally invested as would have liked to have been. I would have liked to have seen Cora and Riddick happy and in love in the past - to see what their relationship was, what they meant to each other and how they were together. Instead, we are just told that they had this all-consuming love and we never get to experience that with them. I think I would have felt their reconnection more had I seen and felt the depth of their feelings for each other in the past rather than just being told about it.

I also felt that some of the narrative felt unrealistic and unnatural with the way the characters would talk, it seemed like inner monologue at times rather than actual conversation. And the writing didn’t always flow smoothly for me, I found myself having to reread certain passages more than once. For example:

I wish whatever repetitious thoughts he has right now he would recite to me before I completely lose my shit.

Huh?

And while I enjoyed watching the story play out, I did think that the ending was abrupt and I would have liked to have seen more closure, and more of them claiming their HEA. But I guess their story will continue on in future books of the series, so I look forward to catching up with them again then. There is set up there for some of the side characters to have their stories told and I’m curious to see how that’s going to play out. Jude is up next, and he has a hell of a lot of grovelling to do!

So obviously I didn’t love this book, but I did like it. Cora and Riddick’s love story was really beautiful, and though I did have some issues, for the most part I really enjoyed their story.

3 stars.

Wow! Okay that was an intense read!!!! This is a motorcycle/gang plot which is not my usual pick but the writing was so good plus all the twists and turns kept me intrigued the whole time.

Cora and Riddick’s family have been enemies from the start. Cora is the daughter of an ex-gang leader. Both of her parents have been murdered supposedly by Riddick’s father. The only relative Cora’s got left is her brother and she was ordered to stay away for Riddick. So when Cora’s brother found out that Cora is with Riddick he threatened to kill them both. Cora was beat, kicked out of her home town and left to defend herself against the world -- young, injured, and pregnant with Riddick’s son.

Fast forward a decade later, Cora and Riddick crossed paths again. Each thought the other was dead long ago … imagine the surprise seeing each other again with so much love, hurt, and misunderstanding between them. Cora and Riddick had moved on from the ugly past. Will they be able to build a new life as a family with the enemies are still lurking around the corner looking for revenge and greed. It will not be an easy road to HEA. I really like Riddick – he is a complicated character – alpha, mysterious, strong, protective and a good guy. Cora has been through quite an ordeal but she’s strong and I admire her for hanging in there and raising her son. This book has a little bit of everything -- sexy romance, action, suspense and drama. There are a lot of twists that will knock you off your feet and keep you turning the page until the end.

3.5 My Angel stars

Cora is secretly dating Riddick, which is forbidden as their families are enemies. They are torn apart at a young age due to believing the other was dead.

Painfully they try to move on but unexpectedly twelve years later they find each other. Loved their reunion.

"You wreck me in a way I never want to come back from"

My first book by this author. Looking forward to Jude's story.

I just finished reading Riddick (The Saints #1) by Kathy Coopmans. It was not my first book by this author so I was positive I was going to like her writing style (and I was right to assume so).

But you are probably wondering just now “Isn’t that an MC romance?” – Yes it is..
Further you might be asking “and YOU chose to read it?” – Yes I did

I understand your surprise – believe me – I was surprised too and I took some time considering if I wanted to read this book. Really “normal” MC romances are not my “thing” – true. But the Blurb of this book drew me in.

I am a hopeless romantic. One of those people that gave up watching movies like Titanic because I can not change the outcome. Yeah … I am one of those that whish to rewrite Romeo and Juliet so that it finally goes “my way”.

And that is where Riddick comes into view… I am not saying it’s a “version” of Romeo and Juliet - no that is not what it is but in some ways reading this story made me think of it. I liked the characters and the plotline very much.

Why it “only” got 4 instead of 5 stars ?

There is this one thing in the plot that does not add up with the natural curiosity of human kind, which with the addition of the age of digital information’s everywhere is hard for me to stomach. I know it is needed to support the plot and I tried to ignore it but it kept coming to my mind so I can not ignore it in my rating (yeah that’s me being vague on purpose because of spoilers – so in case you need to know – PM me)

And the second thing is … 5 Stars in my rating world require me either to laugh my ass of or cry a river or be shocked to (almost) death – neither of these three things happened.

Having said my piece … I can totally recommend this book to all those hopeless romantics that want to believe.

Please believe in Riddick

Well hot damn!! This book. I went into this book blind. I didn't really know what to expect. And let me just tell you, it blew me away!!! There is love, mystery, suspense, and one hell of a family in this amazing story!!

We start off in the past and Cora, poor freaking Cora! Her brother is a monster and basically forces her hand. She's not going to get the life she always wanted because of Jesse. After that the story is set up in the present. Life is not what it was supposed to be for each Cora or Riddick. Riddick being Cora's boyfriend from age 17. Thanks to Jesse, each thinks the other is gone. Little do these two know life has a mysterious way of working itself out.

Cora had a rough go at 18 and met the most amazing family ever! Vivian, Ron, and Sylvia. Her parents and sister even if not by blood. They've taken care of her and done it well! And then enters the biggest surprise of all..... Riddick lives right next door. From there this story just goes and goes and you will not want to put it down! I had to force myself to go to bed last night because it was so good! Especially when you get to the climax! This is my first read by this author but it definitely wont be my last!

It took me some time to come up with the words that express how i feel about this novel. Riddick is a novel that pulled at every single one of my heartstrings. I'm in awe of this story line!

Riddick starts with an immensely dark beginning. We are introduced to a seventeen year old Cora looking death in the eyes. Forced to make a decision between life and death. Forced to choose between the love she has for Riddick or the life of her unborn child. After given an ultimatum by her jackass of a brother Jesse, she chooses to leave and never come back. bloody and bruised she gets on a bus and disappears.

Riddick is living day to day. After the devastation of losing the love of his life and being told facts that weren't at all true, Riddick enlists in the military. Twelve Years Later Riddick finds the truth to the lies he was told many years ago.

Riddick gave me all the feels!

DEVASTATION...that is what i felt when reading Riddick and Cora's story and the time taken away between a father and his son.

ANGER. Is what i felt towards Jackass Jesse and his psycho friend. i literally wanted to reach in my kindle and slap the hell out of him.

HOPE. Is what i felt throughout the novel. I needed Cora and Riddick to have a happy ending. it felt as if my life depended on it!

FEAR. Simply for Cora's stupidity during her "bravery" stunt.

LOVE...not only for the obvious Cora and Riddick scenes but mostly for the scenes where Riddick and his son (Ethan) finally come together after so many years and missed time between the two. loved those scenes the most. *sigh*

I could go on and on but i think i made my point! Riddick is an amazing forbidden romance/second chance romance. you don't want to miss this one!!!

Riddick is my first book by Kathy and it will not be my last!

Riddick and Cora have a complicated story. They were together when they were young but in less than an ideal situation. Twelve years have passed. Both think the other is dead. Then they meet again one day unexpectedly.

I was hooked on this book. Hooked. Riddick just attracted me to him in every way possible. He is one sexy man. Holy smokes. That man and his larger than life personality- OMG. He is possessive and protective and takes control in bed and I just loved him. I loved how he can be so much yet so sweet and sensitive too.

I adored Cora and him and was so happy they got a chance to start over. But make no mistake- this isn’t all fluffy and light. There is a lot of action, drama and suspense that keeps you interested and wanting to see how things will turn out.

I can’t wait to read the next story in the series!

I'm just speechless Kathy.. I cried with this book. Once I started reading I just couldn't put it down. The way Kathy writes is amazing it's like your right there seeing it all take place while your reading the words. Riddick and Cora have this relationship that only comes around once in a lifetime and it was ripped apart from them by a horrible person. You will experience heart ache, love, and hatred in this book. You won't be wrong in choosing this one. I just hate we have to wait till the spring for the next one..

Rosalie's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

From the beginning, this book had a Romeo and Juliet feel. Two families that were completely against each other, lives lost (through murder), and the two children from the family secretly in love. Of course, both are unaware of who each other are when they met and immediately are attracted to each other. But we all know how the love story goes...

Cora and her brother are the only two left in their family after their parents are gunned down, by what they have been told, is the rival gang leaders; Riddick's parents. Running into each other, almost literally at school, Cora is immediately intrigued and wants to know more (unknowing as to who he is). Meeting, secretly dating, and the two completely falling in love, leads to the utter and complete hate from Cora's brother. Kidnapping her, taking her off, beating her to near death, then telling her to leave town and never come back, has left her completely heartbroken. But she knows that her heart will not be complete without Riddick, as his won't be without hers. Her dead will only crush him.

Riddick knows that his life is over, but he won't stop until his Cora is back. Thinking the worst, but still fighting, all in HER name, waiting for her to return to him, he lives life as a shell, simply waiting. Until one day, she shows up...and all is no longer lost.

There is only word for this book: explosive. The hurt, anger, love, and fire between these two (and because of everything else these two have to endure) had me crying more than once. Kathy Coopmans is an author that will lead you to the edge, and right before letting you fall, will jerk you back into a bubbling, happy mess. The beginning of this series sets the amazing groundwork for any and all that will follow!

ARC provided with no expectations.

I'm in tears.
So many emotions are running through my head as I finished the very last page. I cried, laughed, and wanted to fling my tablet across the room more than a few times to be honest. Riddick was a character you couldn't help but fall in love with. He lost his one true love, his soft place to land. She was his sun and he was her moon. They were soul mates, until one night everything changed and she was gone............

Fast forward twelve years later......

He see's his one and only, Cora.
Impossible.... Is it? How can that be...... She was dead....

The secrets we have been dying for have finally been answered.
But danger is lurking.

Riddick will do everything in his power to protect his family.
By any means necessary.

***4.5 Stars***

I have read a few of Kathy Coopmans novels, and I really enjoyed this one. Second chance romance are my go to reads. Could not put it down!

I really gotta start listening to my first instinct with books as I spent a lot of daylight on this one and still ultimately quit somewhere around 57%. The author's writing was my original reason for considering quitting. This book needed a lot more refining prior to publishing. Every stray thought or idea or feeling the characters have gets put on the page and it unnecessarily bogs the book down and makes it way way longer than it needed to be. There were also a number of run on sentences and quite a few I was completely unable to decipher even after multiple reads. Despite that she did have what it takes to make the characters seem raw and real in a way that, in addition to the interesting plot, made me want to continue despite my many eye rolls at the insanely ott flowerynature of the writing. Unfortunately the author continued to do just...The most with everything and it eventually led me to being so done. I'm recovering from a hysterectomy so sex scenes aren't really up my alley at the moment but even skimming these were not the best. The phrase "preheated pussy" appears in one and really do I need to say any more about that? The hero was what ultimately led me to quit though. He reminded me of the kind of peacocky dude bro I see often on online dating sites constantly asserting their alpha status. A real alpha doesn't need to talk about how he's an alpha because he doesn't care what other people think. Riddick tried way too hard to be an alpha. That bugged me. What made me quit though was the genuine feeling that he and his friends did not respect women at all. At the beginning he seems to portray all women as gold diggers for wanting more than a one night stand with him. There's a whole conversation with his friends where they spend the entire talk referring to women as "holes." One of them called the heroines adopted sister a whore after sleeping with her. But my final straw (though now I'm typing all this idk how I didn't quit before) was him wishing, right after they've rediscovered each other before they've had time to go on even a date or talk about their future together or dealt with the danger of her brother, that her birth control would fail just so he could see her be pregnant again. That really really creeped me out. It came across as terribly controlling and struck me as him being the kind of dude that would purposely make her bc fail to get his wish.
Other assorted issues in case that wasn't enough to make you skip it: the book builds off their teenage Romeo and Juliet love but we never saw them together, we go straight from her brother telling her the leave town to present day. Young heroine acts like a fucking idiot nearly getting her unborn kid killed because she won't shut up knowing if she keeps talking they're gonna beat her. The heaven/hell thing was so over used my eyes were constantly rolling back in my head. There were several scenes that involved rough sex pay that wasn't non consensual per se, but was the kind of play that needed a more active consent than was sought. Also Riddick had a scary temper. His first thought upon finding out his long dead love is alive with his kid is to rush over drunk and reeking of cigars to yell at her in front of said kid. Upon finding out what the brother did he decides to go vigilante in a gory manner not seeming to consider what it'll do to his girl and kid when he definitely ends up in jail for all that.

Tldr: hero doesn't seem to respect women..kinda creepy. Dnf...skip it

Riddick
I have read a few of Kathy’s books and they are all great but I think I have to say Riddick is my Favourite so far.

I had tears in my eyes from the prologue.

I didn’t know what to expect when I went into this book.

From the start, I was hooked with Riddick and Cora’s story.

When Cora’s brother forces her to leave and warns her to have nothing to do with Riddick ever again, Or he will kill her.

12 years after she leaves,
Riddick and Cora meet again. After both believing the other is dead. She just happened to rent a house on the beach right next door to Riddick.

Riddick comes face to face with her again.
The feelings towards each other have never changed they have gone through so much to get to where they are today. I loved the connection between the two of them.

Riddick is ex-military and is now working with Law enforcement. I loved How Riddick held no grudges and he loves Cora so much.

I loved Cora after everything she gone through and had to suffer she is such a strong character.
A few twists and turns in this book.

The Other Characters in this book are all great too. What a great start to this series and I really can’t wait for more.

I liked this book.

Absolutely LOVED Riddick & Cora together. I was so happy when they reunited after 12 long years! Making up for all that lost time with one another was beautiful; Riddick bonding with Ethan, finally getting the chance to go out on their first date, the hot wall sex... It all felt so good & so right. :)

What kinda slowed things down for me? The inner monologuing by both of the main characters was tedious at times, the set-up for Tyson's book confused me a bit & the climax seemed a little WTFrak?! for me. I mean, Cora... really? You had to leave by yourself? *insert eye-roll here*

I also would've LOVED a little more sexy at the end between Riddick & Cora. I realize there were some injuries but I kinda wish things had fast-forwarded a bit, so their story could close out on a super memorable moment.

Very curious to see what will happen between Vivian & Jude; especially after all that happened in the last couple of pages! Unfortunately, I predict a long & painful journey both physically & mentally for those two...

Kathy Coopmans is hands down a fantastic storyteller. She can weave magic in her stories.. full of steam, suspense, twists, turns, and passion. Her books mesmerize me and her words soothe my heart and soul. I have always been a fan of work.. since day one. After reading this book, I have to say... Riddick will go down not only as a top favorite book of 2016 for me but the best this author has written... to date.

Riddick is a fast paced, second chance romance that will keep you on the edge of you seat the entire time. From the gripping and mind bending prologue to a captivating story, Kathy gives her readers a book that will have you trying to keep reading long after the pages quit turning. This book was so good and the perfect start to the Saints series.

Riddick and Cora had a love like no other until tragedy struck and circumstances ripped apart their lives. Fast forward and its been years now. He is only a shell of the man he use to be. He is hard, jaded, and always seeking revenge. But one moment and one chance change everything about his life and everything he thought he knew. Fate... always believe what is mean to be will. Riddick is about to get his second chance at.... life.

I highly recommend this book.

Riddick it's one of those books that I could read over and over again. There is no love quite like your first love. It is unforgettable and a once in a lifetime thing. Imagine finding out you are pregnant by the love of your life and then having that love ripped away from you. To make it worse, it was by someone who should love and protect you, but beat you instead. My heart was torn in pieces watching the pain and suffering. Cora endured so much but she had grace and strength to pull herself together to protect her son. For 12 years she suffered the loss and lived with the regret of leaving Riddick in order to save him.

For 12 years Riddick lived a life in torment. He believed his Cora, his angel, was dead and his life was spent morning her. Until……

Get ready for this powerful second chance romance that will completely break you and then put you back together again. It is full of everything I love in a book – action, suspense, danger, love, family, healing and forgiveness. You'll definitely need tissues when you read this book.

What can I say? I am a HUGE Kathy Coopmans fan and there isn't a book she could write that I wouldn't read and fall on love with. And this book was no exception!

I was completely hooked by the first page and by the end of the first chapter I had tears in my eyes.

I loved how Riddick loved, after all this time and held no grudges, he just loved with his whole heart. And how protective he was, oh holy hot alpha! Then there was Cora. Strong and independent and had never ending love for her chdhood sweetheart. Their relationship is the definition of true love conquering all.

Ethan was an awesome character and a brilliant addition to the storyline. As was Jude.....oh how I can't wait for that man's book!

Brilliant story from the first page to the last and yet another reason why Kathy Coopmans rocks!

Kathy Coopmans has hit another one out of the ballpark with this first installment of The Saints Series!! Riddick and Cora’s story will leave you feeling like you have been turned inside out! It was a complete adrenaline rush from the first page and I think my heart is still trying to recover from it!! This book is not for the faint of heart or for those who want a light and mushy love story. This book is for those that want to go on a journey through pain, loss, recovery, love and life and come out on the other side with a new view of the choices we all have to make in our lives. Who do you believe? Who do you trust? What does family mean? Who is your true family? Sometimes life is just that life and no matter what we always end up where we are meant to be.

Kathy Coopmans never let me down. I own all her books on my kindle and all but 2 in paperback. At the moment this will be the third. Kathy keeps you on your toes with all the twist and turns, she really has twisted mind.

After Riddick loses his mom his dad gives him permission to open his own chapter of Hell's Angels but is that what he really wants?

Cora lost both her parents by being shot coming out on their front door so she definitely doesn't want anything to do with motorcycle gangs.

Riddick and Cora were one of those forbidden loves. Can they manage to abide by family wishes.

From this point on this book is full of twist and turns and many, many surprises.

This is a book full of emotion, and a real page turner, Riddick and Cora loved each other so much and then their future together is taken away from them by a cruel person. Riddick joins the army and now works for the Government but he never forgot Cora - she's in his soul - he'll love her for ever.
There's love and heartache abound in this story, so expect to shed a tear or two - I did.
The development of the plot will keep you reading until the last page, the story is so engaging - you won't want to put it down, Riddick is definitely a must read - I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Hot, intense, gritty and explosive, I really enjoyed the story of Riddick and Cora. Two tortured souls who became each other's souls mates since childhood. However as fate would have it, their families are enemies and tragic circumstance beyond their control tore them apart. Trying to move on without the other, they unexpectedly find each other 12 years later. Despite their love being just as passionate and passionate as before, their past demons return.
The story of Riddick and Cora was well developed and I love this genre. The story at times was so fast paced that I felt certain elements of their story and their relationship was rushed.

There are so many reasons that I am a reader of Kathy Coopmans, and Riddick brings out every single one. From the first page you are entwined with each character as they come to life for the reader. All the joy, heartache, terror, uncertainty, love and every other feeling Riddick, Cora and the entire cast go through, you are right there with them. I needed a tissue by chapter 2 and was cheering by the end. In classic Kathy style, she's got me wanting more of The Saints.
