Two Masks One Heart
Local gangster Benjamin Clark has all of Georgia on 'lockdown.' The drug kingpin sits atop a Southern narcotics empire which is the envy of all his rivals. But despite his success in the deep south criminal underworld Benjamin is still full of hubris. Unlike other 'bosses' who're content just laying low and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Benjamin is compelled to flash his wealth and status wherever he goes. After all he's worked long and hard for it. His constant flamboyance however begins to strain not only the relationship between him and one of his closest friends. But also Benjamin's marriage. As Benjamin's lust doesn't just stop at the finer 'things...' in life. A new woman catches his eye. One he is intent on pursuing. Even at the expense of his current better half. But if you think she's just going to sit back and watch her man have his cake and eat it too you're mistaken. Wifey isn't about to let anyone endanger her lavish lifestyle, including Benjamin. If his love for her has faded, then she's prepared to make the necessary 'arrangements.' After all... there's a code to the streets of which they both come from. Rules to the game. Money... over everything .

I'm a fan of both Jacob Spears & Trayvon Jackson's work & I like when they work together.
That being said, I felt that this book & series was pretty good, despite there being some characters that I didn't care much for.
I did NOT LIKE:
BENJAMIN-FOR HIS PERVERTED CHEATING WAYS BEING THE CAUSE FOR THE DEATH OF WIFE RENAE
JARVIS-FOR BEING SO FRIGGING JEALOUS OF FORMER BUSINESS PARTNER
CHAMPAGNE-FOR SCREWING HER FRIEND SHAQUANA'S DAD BENJAMIN & KILLING RENAE, PLUS MANY MANY OTHER REASONS!
MAJIK-JUST BECAUSE!
DAQUAN GOT CAUGHT OUT THERE & GOT SOME TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHAT HAD BEEN DONE THAT CAUSED HIM TIME BEHIND THE WALL. He met a friend though that became MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IN THE SERIES:CHRISTOPHER "C-MURDER" HALL!
I was confused about the threesome with Maurice & Shaquana plus that other chick. Why dudes don't wanna do a threesome with another guy?! Asking for a friend LOL!
I wished Benjamin could have made better non-selfish moves & respected his wife & family better.
I don't know how I feel about SHAQUANA & MAURICE together. She wants to be in the Justice field which would NOT BE GOOD FOR THE BUSINESS THAT HE'S IN.

A different read
This was a different read with a lot going on. Benjamin was a businessman, and once he started making the money, he let the money change him. It's true what they say, money is the root of all evil. He started doing underhanded things and undermining people. So many lies and secrets.

Oh so good👏👏👏👏
This was indeed a gangster page turner. Benjamin had it all, a good wife, children, and the drug game on lock until Majik began working at the strip club. His sick caused the death of no only him but his wife as well. That butcher Champagne has got to go, wonder what she gonna do now that Ben gone. I bet that baby is Maurice.

Disappointed
Not good, storylines were hard to grasp. Did not hold my interest at all. I finished the book hoping it would get good, but no.

was a really intriguing read.. It definitely didn't end the way I expected it.. This book is the ultimate definition of "the grass ain't greener on the other side".. Benjamin did what he wanted when he wanted and with whom he wanted because he felt that that he could.. Things don't always go tha way we plan especially when we live in glass house and throw stones.. I felt really bad for Renae.. She had nothing to do w/ anything but was guity by association.. I kno shouldn't feel bad (considering what he did) but I feel really bad for Daquan..drugs will make u do crazy things.. I definitely can't wait to find out what happens next..
I gave tha book 3 stars because there were so many characters at times or made or jard to keep up.. Also sometimes it jumped from character to character again making it a lil hard to keep up without going back and rereading..

BENJAMIN A MAN OF WORDS AND POWER ONCE TOOK A YOUNG MAN UNDER HIS WIND AND MADE HIM HIS BROTHERS KEEPER. BUT TO JARVIS NO LONGER LOOKED AT BEN AS A PARTNER OR LOYAL PERSON. What an ending.
My, my, my how the tables turned. Ben was doing way to much underhand crap and undermine people. Money can truly made a person flip out of character. I had a feeling that Jarvis was going to turn grimy. He was too envious of Ben. I never thought it would end that way though. I can't wait for part two. Karma is a mofo though and Jarvis and Majik won't be on top for long.

No body is true anymore!!!
Is no one true anymore. You help people and they turn on you. It was so much wrong with the Clark family. They could have had it all but greed and lust made them lose everything. The family had so many trials and tribulations. If the man of the family had so many secrets of course his family would as well. So many lies were told and so many lives were lost. This story was good and I can't wait for part two

The Carter's are a well known family in Georgia,however with the notoriety comes big problems. Envy,greed and betrayal is the name of the game,who will be left unscathed?
Wow! What a great suspenseful read .The drama was on page after page . The jaw-dropping moments were in abundance with an explosive ending that left me on the edge of my seat. Anticipating part 2 ,not sure what more can happen after that ending .Good read 3.5 stars

This book started out slow, but it picked up very quick. Benjamin Clarke thought he had it under control until it all came crashing down around him. He got caught slipping. His actions have dire consequences. He got played like a fiddle. That's what happens when you underestimate your so called buddies. Money and greed tend to change people. I can't wait to read what happens in the next book.

Betrayal at its finest
Man look a here. The family.. Baby... To much greed Ben was just too greedy. No sense of moral for this guy at all. And Jarvis I should have known. He couldn't help it brings that he was jealous of Benjamin!!! I liked Champaign though. I'll be catching part 2 when it comes out. Dang Percy. I wouldn't have hid my money there.

Wow...
At first, this book was kind of boring. I put it down for a day and decided to finish it. I'm glad I did! This book was filled with so many grimy, conniving, and dishonest people! I would recommend anyone to read this book. I have to read part two also. I can't wait to get into that book!

Deception
Good book. Great story lines but this book took me for a lot of loops. Characters well written. There's a lot a lot of deception and back stabbing. Pay close attention to those you call your friends

Betrayal hurts but being betrayed WHILE your betraying is KARMA....WHILE THE WEB GOT CAUGHT UP ON CHAMPAGNE WTF WHAT A FRIEND....THIS STORYLINE WAS EPIC I DIDN'T SEE THIS ENDING AND I HOPE MAURICE CAN HOLD DOWN SHAQUANA.....EXCITING ENTERTAINING OUT FREAKING STANDING
