I was probably one of the few among my GR tribe who liked Beautiful Redemption and had no problem with Thomas being hung up, at first, on the previous heroine of this series. So I had to give this a chance. Now, this book runs parallel to Beautiful Redemption and unlike BR, the second half of this book was a clusterfuck. Cheesy, predictable and boring.

1 Hesitant Star.

So basically this is the story of another of the Maddox brothers. He meets Falyn, a girl with his own past and problems, and they slowly fall for each other.
But as their ghosts and problems keeps getting in the way, they will realize their relationship will not be a walk in the park.

This is a review that really pains me to write. Mainly because Jamie is the author of one the books I believe to be one of the pillars of NA, “Beautiful Disaster”, as that book is also one of my

I am seriously heartbroken . Probably because I went in with high expectations. I mean it's the Maddox brothers, & they're addicting okay? But I was left completely disappointed.

Basically my single biggest pet peeve when it comes to stories was in this book (to some degree). I really am spoiling the plot if I say anything about it, but if you really wanna know it's that there was (view spoiler). The story started off pretty good. A

Obsessed much over this series, KAS, you might be asking? Why yes, as a matter of fact I am! ;)

My swoonfest continues over Taylor Maddox, and just for extra yumminess, he is a hotshot firefighter, and loves to save damsels in distress in his free time

The lucky damsel he completely falls for is Falyn. She is a rude, potty mouthed, aloof waitress he meets at a local restaurant while in Colorado Springs fighting fires. Falyn wants nothing to do with him, but ... as fate would have it, ... she disc

I paid $14 (I had bought the paperback) for this so I'm going to be more honest, and perhaps, frank in the review.

this book!!

What the hell?!

Some of what went down in this book really ruined it for me.

Taylor is a douche.

What he did was unacceptable.

Falyn was annoying.

Some of the other characters in this book...did they really even have a purpose?

I swear, the Maddox brothers' stories are getting much worse. I loved Travis, Trent's story was debatable as there was that love triangle thing and unn

I have to say I don't know what's happening with these stories. When I first read "Beautiful Disaster" I loved the story. I adored Abby and Travis. And I was curious about the Maddox Brothers. Now that I'm getting the chance to meet them one by one nothing out of the extraordinary is happening. Don't get me wrong, the story is good but not "Beautiful Disaster" AMAZING.

I'm so disappointed. I couldn't really get into the book but I was still about to give it 3.5 stars until the twist near the end. It made me so mad I didn't even want Taylor and Falyn to have a HEA. I just... ugh. It all made me sick and I really don't understand how Falyn could be okay with it. Sure she was hurt, but then she just got over it and decided to (view spoiler). Because it's sounds just as painful as this:

Initial reaction: Nope, this book was the worst in this series so far, and narratively showed more of a decline in the writing style. No imagination in the plot or character resonance whatsoever. I'll admit there were a few moments when I genuinely laughed (the "Macho Pikachu" line was funny, dangnabit), but it was such a slog to get through this crap that instead of taking me hours to read, it took days.

The nicest thing I can say about it was that the colors in the cover scheme were nice. The i

This is my favorite so far in The Maddox Brothes series! I really love Taylor Maddox so damn much. Way more than Trenton or even Thomas. He's one of the kindest and the sweetest of the Maddox boys and much tamer in comparison. Though he really doesn't take shit from anyone, that's the Maddox way!! They are ALL badasses! Taylor was so swoony and I fell for him right away, plus he's a hotshot firefighter and

No, no and no the book had me up until he sleeps with another woman and his excuse is he thought they were on a break!!! Oh and he was drunk lets not forget that part. I believe what Falyn said was she wanted him to THINK about the future and if not having kids would matter to him, NOT go F**CK some chick you meet in a bar. Barely 4 days into this supposed break and he is hooking up with another girl who h

I'm just not feeling this book anymore. The heroine is too bitchy, secretive, and deceptive for my personal taste. And now that I've read some spoilers, I know that there are some actions by the hero that will not sit well with me later on so I'm cutting my losses. I don't want to waste my time on something that will end up angering or frustrating me, just don't have it in me to continue.

Okay, so when the reviews started coming in, I was a little hesitant to read this book, however, my curiosity won me over and I'm glad I did.

That doesn't mean everything is peachy with this couple...they are a little different and if you've kept up with the series, you know what Taylor did in Beautiful Redemption.

Taylor's a Hotshot, aka fire fighter who hikes in and fights wild fires. Basically that means he's only here temporarily, and everyone in the town knows that means stay away from them

I wish I could give a book zero stars. I get that these books aren't great literature by any means. Yet I have enjoyed them up until these past two books.

It really feels as if McGuire isn't in this for the story anymore, but to see how many books she can pump out. I really think moving from a publishing house to independently publishing her books has led to a horrible decline in the quality of her books. All of them are the same, have the same dialogue, and are rushed with nothing to really gra

I love the Maddox brothers and Jamie McGuire's writing style and I also loved this book. Because of my issues with cheating I had to deduct half a star from my rating so that's why this novel got only 4 and a half stars from me but I loved it nonetheless :D

Having a little insight into the characters from reading the other novels in this series I wasn't as shocked by what happened and I have to confess that the plot was a little predictable. But the characters pulled their weight throughout t

I'm going to tell y'all a secret. A big one. A true one. A shameful one.

I really wasn't all that excited about reading Beautiful Sacrifice.

Don't get me wrong. I lurve me some Jamie McGuire. She's an instant one click. I have ecstatically followed the Maddox brothers series from day one, but for some reason the twins have never quite broken away from the periphery. They were funny in previous books, great secondary characters, but I couldn't quite bring myself to see them as an

The feeling of victory vanished, and guilt jarred me into silence. That didn’t last long when I remembered the yelping and wall-banging. “So, you slept with—” I almost slipped and said Agent Davies. “I’m sorry. It’s none of my business.”

I am having a difficult time with this review and rating because I'm not entirely sure where I'm at. I have enjoyed the books in this series, but this book was not easy, and if I'm truly honest, it was very frustrating. I certainly do not want to reveal too much and spoil it for anyone else, but shit happens that I am just not a fan of that is just hard to move past. There is a lot of misplaced blame, repeatedly, that I just couldn't wrap my brain around. I didn't really like either o

Highly disappointing.

I was actually enjoying this story until his cheating and knocking up his one night stand. Classy.

The h did get on my nerves somewhat, she was just too obsinate (without logic), but she still didn't deserve to be cheated on. Sadly, I actually really liked the H and thought he was a great guy until the big stuff up.

Also, the cheating just did not fit in with his character. He was so in love with her and she hadn't said they'd broken up, just taking a week apart (a break for a

I don't need you to save me. I just need a little help to save myself.

Here we have Taylor Maddox, one of the twins in the Maddox family. He is a traveling hot shot firefighter that goes where the wild fires take him. Falyn Fairchild has dropped her old life in a riches-to-rags scenario and is now working in a popular diner in town and lives above it. Taylor comes into the diner for lunch with his coworkers and the rest is history.

May 2015. The third of four novels chronicling the exciting, romantic, and sometimes volatile road to love for the Maddox brothers. The charming and endearing Taylor Maddox, the second eldest Maddox brother, navigates his career as a member of a hot shot crew, and falling in love with headstrong Falyn Fairchild, a trust fund baby-turned-waitress.

Well hello Ross and Rachel. But we were on a break. seriously. Totally disappointed in how this story went. Was good until then. Seen it coming but still was bullshit.

This book was frustrating. I do not like frustrating books. They fluster and...frustrate me.

This is Taylor Maddox's story, and he falls in love with Falyn Fairchild. Okay. Nice enough.

For most of the book I was invested in their story. I appreciated how with just one look, they knew each other. They knew each other's souls, and books like that just get me. I was hooked.

Then, the last 20% of the book happened and I was pissed.

Everything happened so fast that my brain cells c

I really did enjoy Taylor and Falyn's story. I wish there was a bit more of Taylor in it but I liked him more than I thought I would. I definitely loved him more than Trenton's story, which is probably why I practically threw up when Camille popped up. I still hate that bitch! BUT Taylor still didn't come close to beating Travis or Thomas!

On to the final brother...Tyler.
