I was disappointed in this book. The explaination of who Jesus is was good. The summary of His ministry as teaching people to love God and each other was excellent.
However, the book lost steam at the end. In explaining Jesus' death, there is no mention that Jesus died for our sins. That we need to acknowledge our sins and accept Jesus' death on our behalf. A child (or adult) could easily get the idea that Jesus was all about encouraging us to be good people, and that he opened the way to heaven to everyone, and therefore, all people are going to heaven.
However, the Bible teaches that while Jesus did open the way to heaven for everyone, only those who acknowledge their sin and chose to trust in Jesus instead of their own "good deeds" will enter heaven. I cannot recommend this book - to bad, the other books in the series seem really strong.
