Desai Degrate is an educated, independent, single business woman and aspiring author. Being an avid reader and blogger for her favorite author ‘Truth’ presents an opportunity to get her feet wet in the publishing world and forge a blossoming friendship with the man behind the stories she loves so much. As her life seems to be a novel in itself and she embarks on a new relationship, she and ‘Truth’ grow closer and feelings become involved; potentially causing complications. At the end of the day she has to make a decision; fact…..or fiction.
I loved the characters, story, and ending twist. You Tamyra did a great thing with this. Ready to read#2. Not predictable. Lots of sex and smoking but I related to that character so much it wasn't even funny. I laughed, was mad, reacted like it was a movie and couldn't put the book down.A definite Must read!!
*some spoilers* I hate when I get a book with a bunch of 5 stars and I feel like I read a different book from everyone else.
I really wanted to like this book but I had some issues with it. First, the conversations were hard to follow. I'm not sure if it was the kindle version, but there weren't proper breaks between scenes or paragraphs. There were times I didn't know who was talking. The overuse of "peaked" and "cracked" really annoyed me. They "peaked" or "cracked" but never "said" anything. There were a few errors, misuse of words, and typos. The fact it was so easy to figure out who Truth was really just made the rest of the book drag ( how did she talk to Truth on the phone and never knew it was her man??? How are you that in love and done know the sound of his voice or his job?) I knew in the first third of the book. I was annoyed about how it easy was for Desai to give Vashon a chance after a "bad relationship" but she made Key wait four months and I have no clue if the first relationship was worse than what Key did to her. I really liked the characters and I think this book had so much potential but I'm going to pass on the squeal.
Cute love story. I enjoyed reading it but I guessed the ending. It wasn’t hard to put 2+2 together. There were some grammatical errors and a few name mistakes but I was able to make out what the author meant. Read it in one day. I’d read more from the author!
It was a great book. It was so easy to fall in love with the characters. It flow well. But the ending had me asking a few questions? But I'll leave them unanswered just to keep my happy endings
