Lot of meat in this Gods Gone Wild series of books to digest, and when you finally start to make sense of things, you realize that the second set of books is running parallel to what's going on this set with alll the details that you were missing.
A very promising premise but I seriously hope this was some self-publication venture because if not, the editor should be flogged and fired. The text abounds with grammatical errors, repeated words, incorrect phrasing and overload of weapons descriptions which tells nothing to the layman.
I get trying to maintain realistic characters in fantasy, but there is a certain point where that goes too far. Writing characters that continuously use racial slurs is beyond too far. This book series takes after Lovecraft in all the wrong ways (seriously, HP was an incredibly racist person).
