Weird sort of cozy where a lady quilter finds an old family heirloom, and the diary of one of her ancestors.

The ancestor is an Italian lady whose father moved her to England to keep her away from her lover. Meanwhile, the lady quilter has an adventure of her own.

I found both stories to be pretty dull.

there was a good book as well..has to do with a young woman named Sofia who inheits an anciet quilt and diary inside a 500 +yrs old Cassone..it has been passed down from generation to genaration with many pieces of cloth or silk sewn into the quilt itself..in this story has to do with one of Sofia's ancestors who is taken to England from Venice,italy to serve as a seamtress for King Henry VIII..so the story goes between Sofia and Maddalena so it is a back and forth story line..if u like stuff like this then you will enjoy the book

I thought both story lines were suspenseful and I was anxious to read on. It didn't really focus on the quilt and the square like past books. I was also a little confused in the end. It felt rushed and just ended. It did however, prompt me to brush up on King Henry VIII and the succession of the English throne after him. Onto the next book in the series.

Dual story. One historical and one current day. I never really understood the connection or the point. Pretty low level writing as far as complexity. Not a book I would normally finish. Not sure why I did. Fast read, I guess.

None of the"mysteries" was very mysterious. It felt flat.
