This is the story of Jessica. Jessica is young woman living in London and working in administration. Unfortunately, she is not as happy as she could have been due to the fact her fiancé cheated on her, and if that’s not enough, she fell out with her best friend Oliver.

One day Oliver shows up with the hope to re-establish their friendship, as he has done before, but this time Jessica gives in and agrees to stay with his family at Aisling Manor, for the Birthday of Ollie’s Mum. In addition to that

I won this book from a giveaway run by the author on Twitter, it's been sat on my bookshelf patiently waiting for me to get through my ridiculously long reading list so I was excited to finally get started.

The prologue was dramatic and raised lots of questions, it certainly pulled me in to make me feel like I needed to know more.

After an introduction to Jessica's life and friendship with Ollie I was whisked off to Cornwall to spend some time with Ollie's family. I very much enjoyed this part of

This book has a slow start dealing with the after effects of the main character finding out her boyfriend was cheating on her but when it gets to her helping the village committee plan their charity ball it really picks up. The party planning and party is fun to read and I loved Jessica's surprise for Matt at the end. It turned into a really romantic story and I love Matt! ! I’m going to read it again as I think there were some signs about Matt's reason for staying at the house! ;o)

Found this free e-book on Smashwords. It's a good read. I loved all the developments and this book turned up differently than expected in a good way. Set in UK, it tells of Jessica, a temp in Noja company. She had a falling out with her best friend Ollie, and he invites her to Aisling Manor, his family home. There she meets his mother, Madeleine, elder brothers, Tom and Matt, along with Anabelle and Pearl. I love that the author describes the places and events in detail. A lot happened and the c ...more

I got this book for free and i really enjoyed it. It feels a bit different than a lot of romance now as there is no quirky angle. It's about two friends who have fallen out trying to repair their friendship whilst getting embroiled in helping a village's charity ball. There is a lot more that happens along the way but it's all really about the main character Jess recovering after heartbreak.
i thought all the characters had depth and i liked the descriptions of the house and areas. Even though it
