Cozy Mystery Sixteen Book Set was a great set of books by Meredith Potts. This set consists of; Fishing for Murder, Injustice is Killer, Murder of a Restaurant Critic, Murder of a Movie Produce, The Deadly Art Affair, The Deadly Legal Affair, The Deadly Directorial Affair, The Deadly Rock Star Affair, The Deadly Restaurant Affair, The Deadly Secret Affair, The Deadly Rival Affair, The Last Frontier of Murder, Murder in Happy Creek, Deadpan Murder, Mattress Mart Murder, and A Novel to Die For. I can’t wait to read more by Meredith Potts.
16 book set of cozy mysteries. They all have the same theme, just different settings. The suspects have no alibis and a "lightbulb" comes on at the end to reveal the guilty party. Can you guess who the killer is before the sleuths do? Not always who you suspect!
The storyline is well plotted and the characters are well developed. Ms. Potts’ witty writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The characters are well developed and the mystery well plotted.NOTE: That was NOT MY review{s}; however, it does show exactly Meredith Potts' writing style...repetitious and unbelievable and not just a little bit preachy. Even as low a bar as I set for cozy mysteries, she limboed right under it.
Most of the stories are on ku, either as standalone or in sets. If you don't see one on ku look at the sets listed and it should be there. Actually, if you've read one story you've read them all basically.
Hope Hadley Eight Book Cozy Mystery Set Fishing For Murder, Murder Of A Yoga Instructor, Drowning In Deceit, A Not So Merry Christmas Murder, Killer Injustice, Murder Of A Restaurant Critic, Murder Of A Movie Producer, and The Killer Holiday Office Party. I read them, a little too hmmm murder she wrote wrapping it all up in half hour or so and bit confusing although that could be because no good at names and it was 8 books of basically the same story so lot of names and suppose the buy price of 99 cents would have been okay if hadn't had the ku but seemed a bit forced wrap up/story lines.
Merry Christmas Cozy Mystery Gift Set 3 pack A Not So Merry Christmas Murder Killer Holiday Office Party The Last Frontier Of Murder Tried to get in to the stories, but seemed rather slow, not even sure what was going on in the 3rd short story, seemed not quite sure itself, each story, but kindle unlimited so that's something.
Fame is a Killer is also Fame is Murder
The only reason didn't give it a 1 star is because am reserving that one for 'romance' that so far as been badly written excuse for soft porn.
Her books are one of the few times don't get a twinge over doing copy paste for single/set books on here at amazon and on goodreads.Goodreads needs a selection for Wished hadn't have read this.
Kindle Unlimited, so you are not stuck with the book{s} permanently.
The dates are mostly wrong for goodreads; I forgot for a while or didn't have goodreads at the time.
These cozy mysteries are fantastic! The writers have a way of making a murder mystery humourous. I don't know how they do it but I love these books. The main characters "investigate" the murders with no actual training, just a need to find the truth. How wonderful that these fictional characters can make themselves feel better just by eating something sweet? I wish I could do that but in real life there is the weight gain to worry about. All the characters in these books are great. So great, I wish they were my friends.
I like the writing style of these authors very much. Somehow they are able to keep the mystery of 'who done it' going to the very end while keeping the story humorous throughout.
If you are looking for humorous mysteries, I highly recommend the Cozy Mystery Sixteen Book Set.
Each book is so intriguing, so good that you will read right through each one without realizing you are coming upon the last book! Easy book is a page turner! The stories the characters you will find yourself lost in! Books you want to add to you read list or read now! You will enjoy each and every one!
I am still working my way through this mystery set but have enjoyed a good number of the stories. The characters are fun and the mysteries delightful. These are clean storylines. I have read all of the Daisy McDares and enjoy how her mind works. She manages to find trouble wherever she goes.
If you like theme murder mysteries, the Hope Hadley selections are right up your alley.
I really enjoyed reading the Daisy McDare stories in this set as I have read others by the author. It was nice to also read the stories with Hope Hadley and her brother Joe.
I always hope when buying anthologies to find something new, a new author, a great read, relatable/quirky/crazy characters... something. Out of sixteen books I actually only completely read two, the rest of the book was of the skim, skip done variety. At only .99 I'm not so much complaining as disappointed. It took me a month or more to finish because I gave up after each story to read something else and then came back hoping the next story would grab my interest. I'll finish by saying we all have different tastes and my problem was that they were all so boring and many were copycats.
