The Review

I read part one of this short story series but didn't really enjoy it. I guess over time I had forgotten how annoying the main character is because when the author asked if I'd like to read book two, I agreed. I was tempted to give up because the story is a bit slow considering that it's a 90 page short story. At about 30% in Giovanni still hadn't met a coven. I mean by this time it was recently hinted that something was amiss with

I've read the first in this series, and I recommend it to anyone who is tired of reading the same old formula work. This is a fresh series with an original take on the genre, with a very likable protagonist. This second book went off in a direction I did not expect, which is what makes the book so much fun. I read a lot, so it is difficult to surprise me! Very well-written and expertly edited, quality fiction, nothing offensive, perfect for young and old. I read an advance copy. This is my very ...more

I swear Gio has the worst luck. First zombies in the Morgue and then Voodoo. Like give the kid a break.

I thought this story was interesting and did enjoy it. There was a lot of twists to the story. And not ones that I expected. This is a short read and was easy to get through. The writing style keeps you entertained till the end.

Overall, I give this Four (3.5) Boundless Stars. It will be interesting to see what else's happens with Gio....Lissa

I feel bad about laughing at Giovanni. He really is a accident magnet.

Surprise, not everyone is what they seem to be.

Giovanni Meets a Coven by Kathy Bryson is a wonderful read. Giovanni is a med student with numerous jobs. He is so busy, he doesn’t have a place to live and he has a big dog. Studying has become the easiest part of his life that is when he can find the time. However, living in a morgue isn’t the greatest way to save money.

I like Giovanni, he loves coffee. He’s from New Jersey going to med school in Atlanta. He seems to be handling the cultural shock

Poor Poor Giovanni, he always gets himself into unusual predicaments. In the first book, he finds himself face to face with a zombie. In this book, he faces down someone deep into voodoo. After a series of unlucky, unfortunate things happen to him that costs him two jobs. As I said before poor, poor, Giovanni.

This is a short book that has a lot happen to the unfortunate lead character. In the beginning of the book, he doesn't even have a place to live and ends up sleeping in the morgue. Then he

Kathy Bryson is the award-winning author of tongue-in-cheek fantasy that ranges from leprechauns who play the stock market to zombies who hang out with and harangue med students. She’d like to say she’s climbed tall mountains, rappelled off cliffs, and saved small children, but actually she tends to curl up and read, is a life-long advocate of Ben & Jerry’s, and caters to 2 spoiled cats. She works ...more
