The plot is intricate and twisted, the characters - both good and bad - are easily believable, and the naughty bits are some kind of delicious.

Three estranged brothers.

Kiss the Boys by Chris Myers as Diana Downey
Book #2: Lost Girls Series
Source: ARC from author
My Rating: 5/5 stars
My Review:

Jake, Noah, and Nate are about as different as three brothers can possibly be. Jake is angry and depressed over the loss of his entire unit and his survival in Afghanistan; Noah, is the happy-go-lucky basketball star who has never known any real tragedy or loss in his life; and Nate is the world-renowned artist who has an uncontrollable temper and a sexual appetite to match

In the world of books often we go from the cover or blurb, we don't know what we are going to get. We don't know whether the book will be up to our alley if it will hold our attention, blow our socks off or whether it will be just ok. For me, I am often attracted by the covers - so I love the guy on the cover of Kiss the Boys. The other thing is I had previously read one of Chris Myers's books and enjoyed it. Kiss the Boys, however, was one of those books which I struggled with as the plot was t
As a reader drawn to romances that put us, and their characters, through the emotional wringer I was thrilled to get my hands on this release after being captivated by its premise. From its opening scene we're introduced to a cast of characters teeming with pain from heartbreaking pasts that have us hurting right alongside them. Though the narrative sometimes gets a bit choppy the author never holds back in vividly detailing what the characters have gone through in a tale that breaks them down a ...more

I must have been reading a different book because no way was this a 5 star read. I jumped ship at 45% to save my sanity.

This is the first book that I have read by this writing duo and believe me you need to get a copy of it. I now need to go back and read book one in the series. Kiss the Boys can be read as a standalone and wow, just wow! The premise of the story and blurb had me hooked, so I had to read it. I am one of few readers that you may know of that does not have issues with love triangles and such. This book delivers. This book contains very mature subject matter and triggers. So those who cannot handle ...more

Kiss the Boys is the first book I've read by Chris Myers or Diana Downey. Although it's part of a series, it's a standalone and is not necessary to read the first in the series prior to reading this one.

It's a well written complex story with well developed characters. It's heartbreaking and intense but with an underlying hope and peace. The theme is dark and it's disturbing at times but the authors had me hooked and needing more, knowing I would be satisfied at its conclusion.

This book is so intricate in it plot I just couldn't put it down.
Jake, Noah and Nate are 3 brothers that are night and day in personality as they could possibly get. Jake is suffering PTSD and injuries from a tour in Afghanistan, Noah is the guy that every girl should want he's happy go lucky genuine guy, basketball star who seems to have the easy time in life. Nate is an artist who is filled with passion for his craft but has a temper, and a sexual appetite not all approve of. All 3 brothers se

Where do I begin? When I saw the blurb for this book it caught my attention and made me curious. The book is about three sons Jake, Noah and Nate. They are all dealing with their own separate issues. Then we have a runaway named River. She's in the system and leaves after suffering abuse of all kinds. When she enters the home she develops bonds and attractions with the brothers. I wasn't sure how this would work out and felt this was going to be a big mess. Noah and Nate are twins who are comple ...more

Three brothers, as different as night and day, Jake, injured in Afghanistan and suffering from PTSD, Noah, the basketball star, lovable and a little bit innocent and Nate, world renowned artist, takes what he wants and is unapologetic about it. The only thing they have in common is River, she has had a hard life and runs away days before her 18th birthday. Found by Noah and Nate, she is taken in by their family, which ultimately saves her life. Although she has feelings for all the brothers, the ...more

Short and Sweet Review:

The hero and heroine had an immediate attraction to one another came across as very carnal, and that set the stage for some serious intensity once headier emotions like love started getting involved. The sexytimes was a little much for my taste, but it seemed to fit their personalities well enough.

I was all in on this book up until the last 25% or so, where unnecessary things felt thrown in, and I d

‘Kiss The Boys’ is a well written and well thought out tale that made me unable to put it down. This book is the second in the Lost Girls series but having not read the first I can say that it can be read as a complete standalone.

River has had some seriously difficult times in her young life and running to save herself she is rescued by two brothers who bring her into their lives and that of their other brother. Nate, Noah and Jake are as different as they can be but one they all have in common

My first book by this writing duo. Myers and Downey have intrigued me enough that I will be looking for another book very soon.
This is book two in the Lost Girls Collection, and now I need to go back and read book one in the series. Kiss the Boys is a steamy psychological thriller and where I'm not usually one to read the mental thrillers this one keep me turning pages. Keep it up; I will be watching for more.

River is on the run from her foster dad. It’s snowing, her car isn’t in the best condition and she doesn’t have the money to rent a room, so she has to park somewhere on the street. River doesn’t know what will happen next or if she even will survive the cold night. Then she meets Noah and he takes her to his home. River is welcome at his home.

Noah has two brothers. The brothers couldn’t be more different. They all have different talents and problems and dreams, but t

Kiss the Boys by Chris Myers - arc provided by author

This was the first book I have read from Chris Myers so I really didn’t know what to expect. Aside from reading the blurb that got my attention, I went in blind and trusted the author to take me along in this dark and twisted romance. The story revolves along one messed up teenage runaway and her instant connection with the family that saves her from the cold winter and her abusive destructive past. In turn, you meet three young men all dealing

Kiss the Boys by Chris Myers is the second stand alone novel in her Lost Girls series. Where the first book completely sucked me into the pages I felt a disconnect with this story. It was well-written and fairly well-paced, the story was gritty and tragic and ultimately redeeming, but I couldn't quite click with this one. It still has a four star rating based on the pacing, character development and accuracy with in the story (No sloppy timelines etc).

This book started off rough for me. The entire Hunt family falls in love with River before I as a reader did so it felt untrue to me. But I'm never one to give up. I stuck it out and I'm glad I did, because River and the whole story totally won me over in the end.

There's some heavy themes in this book -- rape, drugs and the death of parents. As someone who recently lost a parent, the latter really moved me.

All in all, I found the book in enjoyable and I'm super glad I stuck around for the end!

When I first started reading this, I thought I am not sure I am going to like this - no reason why it just took me a couple of chapters to get immersed. But then I was fully immersed and couldn't put it down! The three brothers were so different but each had their own qualities which made the reader love them. Nate was my favourite though - he was dark and life hadn't played him a good hand and he did come across at times as a bit of an a**hole but you couldn't help routing for him. River was a ...more

This book was hauntingly beautiful like I imagine Nate's angel's to be. It was tragic yet so much blossoms and grows from that tragedy and so many people learn to love and forgive and grow-up and become the people they are meant to be all because of one woman. I love the lesson that can be learned from this book about not giving up through any tragedy and to fight for your life, your dreams, love, your future, someone else's future, something, everything, just FIGHT! River absolves these boys of ...more

This is my first book by Chris Myers and I loved it. The story is somewhat a little too busy and there is a lot going on at the same time, but eventually you get it. The story is sad at times, but upbeat at others. River is a ward of the state, who's being beaten up by her foster parent and she escapes with barely anything. She ends up in half frozen to death near Noah's and Nate's house. Both men want to save her, but her darkness is closer to what Nate feels all the time and he sense her distre ...more

4.5 Heartfelt Stars! Noah is a basketball player and is a happy, genuine man. Nate is an artist who has a bad temper and a uncontrollable sexual appetite. Jake just recently returned from Afghanistan. He is suffering from PTSD and he was wounded while there. The three brothers don't have much interactions with each other except they have a common love for their mother. River is a child of the system and was bounced from foster home to foster home. She runs from an abusive home and ends up with t ...more

I don't ever write reviews, but this book irked me so much. I almost quit halfway through, but I'm not a quitter. I am so surprised this book has such a high rating. The writing was awful! It didn't flow at all and felt very unnatural and unbelievable. Too much was going on in the plot, especially towards the end. And the characters--there was no connection between any of them. It all felt rushed and forced. Nate and Noah had barely known River for a day, she had barely said anything to them, an ...more

Kiss the boys is the first book I have read from this author.

It was a story of River, a teenager just shy of her 18th birthday when she took a stand for her life and the abuse she was receiving. Escaping she landed in the middle of a snow storm and the storm of a set of twins, 2 very different men both needing her attention.

Noah is the sweet, innocent and sport star of the twins, Nate is dark, with an artistic flare and a past that has haunted him. Good boy v bad boy both wanting her.

Three brothers and one runaway girl. River runs away from her abusive foster home and falls into the arms of twin brothers, Nathan and Noah. Each is as different as he can be. Noah is the sweet one and on the verge of playing for the NBA while Nathan is the tortured author who was abducted at the age of eight. Their mother takes River into their home to care for Jake, the third brother and a disabled veteran suffering from PTSD. Each of the brothers are protective of

Wow! What a fantastic book!
This is the first book by this author that I have had the pleasure to read however won't be the last.
River is an emotional mess but then so is Nate! River and Nate share similarities and differences that make for one very intense relationship.
This book is about so much more though, the family dynamics, trauma, heartache, success and love all combine to make this five star book.
This is a fast paced book that is easy to read as the story flows so smoothly.

4* read.

This was a different and a unique romance read. The second book in the series but the first one I've read. It can be read as a standalone and I'm now looking forward to going back and reading the first book.

River and the three brothers all have their own different set of problems. All the brothers have a unique and different connection with River and she cares for them all in different ways but who will she chose? You'll have to read this book to find out.
