DESIRE MAY ARRIVE IN DISGUISE … As summer sizzles in Bohemia Beach, Penelope Locke faces a different kind of heat. She’s under pressure to create spectacular costumes for an update of Shakespeare penned by hot actor Jace Edison, who’s come to town to oversee the production. He’s a rising star on Broadway, TV and film with a reputation for ignoring women, and just being in the same room with him fries Penelope’s wiring. Jace is a tangle of contradictions behind his handsome mask, and he threatens Penelope’s carefully contained emotions by treating her alternately with disdain and passion. She can’t help but be tempted by his volcanic attractions, but she’s been burned before. Can they get close to each other without going up in flames?
This is the fourth novel in the Bohemia Beach Series, each a steamy standalone romance set among a circle of young artists in the enchanting Florida city they call home.
Lucy Lakestone is an award-winning author who lives on Florida's east central coast, among the towns that serve as an inspiration for the hot romances of her Bohemia Beach Series and the jumping-off point for the Bohemia Bartenders Mysteries. She's been a journalist, photographer, editor and video producer but prefers living in her imagination, where the moon is full and the cocktails are divine. In her spare time, she chases tornadoes.
While I don't usually indulge in Contemporary Romantica titles, I have to give this one its well-deserved 5 stars. It ticks off all the boxes that fit its subgenre, provides relatable characters with feasible backstories, and showcases a detailed description and flavor of its setting. And the steamy, risque nature of the love scenes are done right, of course.
The book is well-written, in a style that I myself highly favor. I love that it was divided into three 'acts,' quite like how a play would be performed. There were only two aspects that didn't jive well with me: However, they did not distract from the main body of the novel. Overall a great, enjoyable read for people who prefer their stories both sweet and spicy.
We are back at Bohemia Beach, and the fourth book in Ms Lakestone’s series of this enchanting Beach. If you have read and enjoyed the previous books, this is another winner. If this is your first book on the series, do not worry. Each book is a standalone. The stories get better and you know you will be highly entertained.
In this one, Penelope and Jace are our main characters. Penelope is a costume designer under a great deal of pressure. Her designs for a lavish new Shakespeare production can either make her or break her. Jace is the writer of this “new” Shakespeare play. The attraction between the two is obvious but trust me when I say there is a tug of war going on , on both sides. Another good book by this talented author ,worth your time. I was gifted this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
A sweet steamy love story. Penelope is a set designer for a theater company in Bohemia Beach. Jace is the famous actor that comes to the theater to prove his play writing abilities.
Jace has been asexual since a tragic past life event, but he finds he can't resist Penelope's sexy 50s style. Penelope can't believe of all the women trying to get his attention he is interested in her. Their romance starts out in make believe but as their attraction deepen they learn to trust and commit to each other.
Lucy Lakestone creates the story in such a way that you feel you are there.
The book is part of a series but is a standalone with a HEA.

This is my first book by Lucy Lakestone; Bohemia Heat is the fourth book in the Bohemia Beach series. It a sweet love story between Jace and Penelope. I like how even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. Lucy Lakestone is a good writer and she does a great job of pulling you into the story. Her characters are charming and unique in their own rights.

I think this book might be my favorite of the series! Lucy does it again! Hot sex, interesting, funny and compelling characters with quirks, secrets, and issues all brought together by hot sex and an all-consuming obsession for one another. I LOVE Penelope, I think she's my favorite heroine so far, and Jace, well, Jace is hot, hot, hot! The sex and chemistry between them sizzles both between the sheets...and in some more "risque" locations as well. I loved the slightly kinky vibe this book took, as that's more my chosen genre, and it just helped to up the intensity and passion between the two characters. I can't wait for Bohemia Nights. Keep them coming, Lucy Lakestone!
