Mastersons in Paradise #2
Under the Voodoo Moon
He was wet, he was barely alive...and he couldn't remember a thing! Then he opened his eyes to find himself lying on a beach, staring at a beautiful, voluptuous woman who said her name was Cherish Love. If he hadn't been scared to death he'd have laughed...then he'd have made a pass at her!
At first, Cherish couldn't believe her eyes...Lying on the shore was a handsome, half-naked man. He was carrying a stuffed pink bunny rabbit and the engraving on his watch said his name was "Ziggy." But how had he gotten there? And why was he having terrible nightmares?
And what would happen when he got his memory back?

This one features the brother of the heroine from Untouched by Man but is not nearly as good only decent.
Cherish Love is an anthropologist working in a small place in Belize. Cherish has always been against men in life due to her experiences, her looks have always brought her unwanted attention and people have not taken her seriously in her field, so she feels she has a lot to prove, when an injured and beaten man washes on the beach, with no identification except a watch with the name Ziggy.
Ziggy can't recall who he is but he has nightmares about the sea. Slowly his flirtatious qualities come out and he remembers a life of wealth but Cherish thinks that may be just wishful thinking.
Ziggy makes Cherish realize how short-sighted she is being in her research. I just expected more from this book I guess since the sister's was so good.

I bought this book solely because it had a character with amnesia. Shallow, I know. But so was this book. And badly translated, too. One of the reasons why I avoid reading translated books is because I often think it could have been done better. I have a tendency to find errors or mistranslations that take away from the experience.
In this case, I stopped reading because there were typos, grammar errors, and sometimes even missing words. To those of you who read it in original (and hopefully without those errors), is the story any good? Or did the translator do me a favor?

I didn't have high hopes, but I really did enjoy this story. Cute and short but it had enough detail and plot that a lot of short stories don't have. I liked the characters and the storyline.

It was the usual, predictable love story. He, smart and rich. Her, smart- and -thought dumb, save -me stories.
