The author brings up some very good points about how we should live our lives and about the choices we make. I am so happy she brought those up. This book is quite different than what I usually read, but it was a dramatic and good read. There were times my heart broke for the main character, Toni, but I was unable to connect with her as much as I would have liked. Overall the writing was very good, but there were many sections of the story that were told rather than shown which sort of distanced me a bit from the story and I think it is also part of what made it difficult for me to really get to know Toni the way I would have liked to.
