Lucifer Jones is back—and on the run again. Having been barred from the United States, Africa (Adventures), Asia (Exploits), Europe (Encounters), and South America (Hazards), he is island-hopping his way across the Pacific to Australia, the one remaining continent that will tolerate his presence.

Seems like it should be an idyllic trip, but then, nothing is ever quite idyll

This hardcover edition is copy 92 of 1000 signed and numbered copies, signed by Mike Resnick.
A series of Lucifer Jones stories, written in a rambling first person style, that is quite engaging at first. Lucifer is a "preacher", that frequently through bad luck, or just plain greed, leaves a place usually because he's been asked to. Voyages by Mike Resnick- A fifth collection of Resnick's humorous Lucifer Jones tales offers an Indiana Jones style hero with a motor-mouth and an active imagination. Lucifer Jones does a first person narration which dives into many different locales and seems like a stream-of-consciousness rendering that can leave you chuckling as you press on. Along the way you run into the big ape King Kong, become a god for the Easter Island natives, and, of course, Moby Duke. This probably isn't for everyon ...more

The Pacific Ocean is a broad, beautiful vision of purest blue.

Collection of short stories centered around Lucifer Jones. A man who has so much bravado he can float between pacific islands on a canoe whilst making friends with a shark. Each story starts and ends with Jones coming to a place and leaving that place...usually quickly, or by necessity due to not being wanted anymore.

The stories are comedy, are outlandish, are improbable at best, and are probably not everyone's cup of tea. C
