Kit Barrientos was sent to Vegas by his alpha to hunt down his cousin, Jase. Instead, he finds a stained, dirty shirt with the scent of the soul mate he had not seen in 15 years! He had been young and had panicked, running off and leaving her instead of claiming her. And now her scent was on Jase’s shirt in an empty hotel bedroom! He seethed with anger!
Rhiannon Delamatre is a burlesque dancer. She borrowed money from an ogre mob boss when she had used up all her ready cash caring for her dying mom. She had given her payment money to Jase to take to the ogre for her. He apparently did not make the payment, and now the money was gone. She was tracking down Jase to get her money back before she was forced to join the ogre’s personal harem for five years, the disgusting payback plan she had to agree to as collateral for the loan!
She walked up to the door of the room where Jase was supposed to be and knocked. The next thing she knew, she was grabbed and kissed and touched and lifted right off the floor! Kit was the last person she had expected to be there! When her dragon-shifter friend showed up, she used that distraction to get away and continue her search. In a comedy of errors, her dragon friend managed to burn up the mattress and set off a fire alarm which caused an emergency stop of the elevator between floors. And sharing the elevator with Rhiannon is a shark-shifter who panics and starts filling the elevator with sea water while his body shifts into a huge flailing shark . . . within the walls of the very small elevator! The chaos continued on and on as Kit tried to rescue her! What’s a girl to do? How is she going to find Jase? And even if she does, will he still have her money? And will she get it back in time to avoid that little default clause for late payments? Better yet, will she even survive long enough to get the chance to pay the loan at all?
This book was utterly enjoyable from start to finish. The action never stopped! I was laughing like a fool through parts of it and having a wonderful time reading the story. The interaction of the characters was handled perfectly! I highly recommend this book! Once you start it, you won’t be able to put it down! This is the seventh book in the Charmed in Vegas series...and this one has been my absolute favorite! I loved Rhiannon as the main character in this story....she has had to become a strong self reliant character after the person she thought was her mate ran away from her. Kit has not seen Rhiannon since the night he panicked and left her, but has been looking for her. He is sent to Vegas by his alpha to bring his cousin Jase back. When he gets to where Jase has been staying he is not there but Kit can smell Rhiannon on Jase's clothes. Now he is trying to find both Jase and Rhiannon. I loved how self-reliant Rhiannon was and loved her best friend and all the trouble she seems to get into so easily. I think this is the last book in this series and will be sorry to see it end....I hope there will be some spin-offs from the series and give some of the secondary characters their own story!

Rhiannon was a spitfire.
Kit was her Mate who left her years ago because he got scared because they were so young. Will they find each other again? Read the book and find out.

Wow!
Jennifer James and Michelle Fox's perception of the magical world of shifters and others is an excellent one. This storyline contains action, danger, and heat interspersed with humor. I won't ruin it for you, but be prepared for a few chuckles.

How mates behave
This is a standalone addition to the Charmed in Vegas multi-author series. Rhiannon is a human burlesque dancer in debt to the ogre mob. She trusted a cat shifter friend to pay off her debt for her when she had to suddenly leave town for a family emergency, but he was missing when she got back to Vegas and now the ogre denies receiving her money. Rhiannon goes to her friend's hotel room to confront him, but instead finds someone from her past. It's Kit, her friend's cat shifter cousin, who she thought was her mate until he ran from her and never looked back. And one thing she knows for certain, that's not how mates behave.

Must love this heroine with strength and fierceness!
Cougar shifter Kit is sent by his Alpha to find Kit’s cousin Jase. In a hotel room just abandoned by Jase, he comes upon a shirt with Kits’ mates scent all over it! Kit messed it up with Rhiannon – who then disappeared. Now not only is he going to find Jase, but will mate-nap Rhiannon if necessary.
Rhiannon just had to bury her mother, and trusted Jase with a large sum of money which needed to be delivered to some not-so-nice people. Jase and the money have disappeared, leaving her in possible deep trouble. When their search puts then in the same space Kit can’t believe its Rhiannon and before she knows who it is; embraces her in a sexy, growly, nipping manner having her rethink her boycott of shifter bad boys.
Pissed when she realizes who it is – the guy who stole her virginity then walked away – she wants nothing to do with him. There is quite a journey to see if this relationship can be resolved – or exists at all! A complex story full of demons, bounties, ogres, dragons and my first shark-shifter!! A heroine with strength and fierceness, and a swoon-worthy hero.

Interesting events and characters in this well written book.
A good story with some interesting characters and lots of action but with a couple of niggles.
Liked Rhiannon, she was gutsy and take no nonsense. Loved the carry on in the elevator. I can understand her attitude as mates DO NOT leave each other but I do not understand why she was so into bad boy shifters if she did not trust them not to hurt her. Try a human male then but even they will hurt you. It sounded like she had never dated a human ever.
Kit was okay but his you are mine claim was a bit tiring. It wasn’t until he really apologised and admitted all the blame was his that started to like him.
I have never read anything by this author before and whilst I did enjoy this story very much it niggled at me as well.
If you like a fast paced read that skims over deeper answers you will enjoy this. Unfortunately, I like to know all the answers to questions that come along.

Also what was the thing with Paul? Is he or isn’t he a baddie, never answered.

It's been a while since I've read a CinV book, and I actually think that may be why I didn't find the usual satisfaction with this book that I have with others. I read a lot of PNR, and books in this series is usually just long enough to include paranormal hi-jinks and action, steamy romance, and a helping of humor. ACC actually has that for me, but I didn't really connect with the characters as much I would've liked. While Rhiannon was ballsy, she was also the queen of bad decision making. Kit is all alpha in the way I usually like, but also hurt Rhiannon in such a way in the past, I kind of had to question why I would want to root for him (besides the whole true mate magic working for them). All in all, it was a good story, but maybe I'm just out of the groove of the series to think that it's "great" - 3.5 stars.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Rhiannon is a burlesque dancer in Vegas, she had to return home to bury her mother. Before she left, she asked a Jase her best friend to do her a favor. In order to pay for her mom's medical care, she took a loan from a loan shark. Rhiannon is human, Jase is a cougar shifter, and the loan shark is an ogre.
But, Rhi is not the only one looking for Jase, his cousin, and her fated mate Kit is also looking for him. Kit is second in the clan and has been sent by the alpha, Jase's dad to return his son home. Kit and Rhi met when they were teens and fell for each other, then Kit ran off breaking Rhi's heart. Besides looking for Jase, Kit tries to reassure Rhi that they are mates, that he wants her, and that he handled their mating badly all those years ago. He wants another chance, while Rhi is caught up in her anger and hurt feelings.

Because soul mates didn’t leave one another. A girl with an innocent, wild heart who’d believed in soul mates, magic, and love that could conquer anything. The night he crushed her heart, and she still believed, part of her soul. EEK! What a PURRFECTLY CHARMING & PAWESOME TAIL!! I ABSO-SHIFTING-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE IT!!! This is my first taste of Jennifer's stories (even though I have some of her books already) and WOW!! GIVE ME MORE!!! EVERYTHING I look for and love is in this book! Including Michelle! wink Honestly, I cannot think of any one piece of fur that I could complain about or that I didn't like! Well, except the obvious one that I ALWAYS complain about - The End came too soon!!! I was sooo CATIVATED I could honestly had 1,000 pages and it would have been too short!! Kit & Cat Nip aka Rhiannon are characters that had me COMPLETELY bonded to them, wanting to help, NEEDING to do whatever it took to help them find their HAPPILY FUR EVER AFTER FURRY TAIL! Together, of course! wink BECLAWS I didn't just read this story - I LIVED IT both with and as Kit & Rhiannon, so claw deep immersed in it I could feel the change, feel my inner cougar awakening!! Which brings me to my next brag. Those who read my reviews know that my FANGORITE part of shifter stories is when the animal side has its own personality, or COUGARALITY, as is the case here. Jennifer did one ABSO-PURRING-LUTELY FANGTASTIC job with this!! I loved the parts where Kit and his Cougar are at odds about what to do, how Kit gets control back only to have Cougar trick him to get control again! Super funny! And of course, following Kit's monologue and thoughts about his Cougar half are not just entertaining, oh no! Jennifer made it 'educational' at the same time, but all crafty-like... just like Cougar is with Kit! hmmmm... I think I'm onto something here! wink All in all, I truly love this story, the characters, the storylines, just ALL OF IT!! Jennifer is one very FURNOMENALLY talented author who also has a genuine gift, a knack for crafting the stories I love, Love, LOVE to lose myself in, creating well developed characters I love to become and storylines that hold me enthralled from the FURRY beginning to the FURRY end. I can only hope, stalk and make Jennifer my prey.. SORRY! Looks like my Cougar is trying to take over again! I mean that I hope & pray that Jennifer will continue with these characters, give Kit & Rhiannon another story, their friends of ALL species their own stories, just so that I can play both with and as my new friends some more!!

What a fabulous laugh out load action-adventure filled book this is. From beginning to end you are catapulted thru such a variety of situations and feelings. There are so many things happening and such a variety of shifters and others.... that it's extremely hard to put down.
This is a wonderful addition to this series.
I would definitely recommend this to s book yo all comers.
It's sensually seductive with lusty connotations..
Rhiannon is such a wonderful lead, she has been thru hell and all she wants is to get her life back, with out all the drama that shifter bad boys bring.. Maybe a human would be better?
Kit sent on a mission to retrieve his way would cousin finds all that has been missing in his life. Mate. He has to fight his way thru mistrust, bounty hunters, humans and shifters alike to convince Rhiannon she is his.

Humor, action, powerful vivid scene descriptions, witty dialogue, and sensuous romance keep you hooked until the end.
Rhiannon a beautiful, sassy, intelligent human has won fame with her burlesque dancing in the city of Las Vegas. She has cultivated many shifter friends including Jase a cougar shifter and Inila a dragon shifter. Unfortunately, Rhiannon’s mother fell ill and she took out a loan from a mob boss to pay her medical expenses and now he wants his payment or her. Kit a powerful cougar shifter has been sent by his Alpha to bring Jase home to face his responsibilities as the Alpha’s son. Kit and Rhiannon are fated mates; as teens, they were together, but being immature Kit ran from her thinking his cougar would hurt the one he loved. Seeing her in Vegas, and thanking his lucky stars that his prayers have been answered, claiming her is his number one priority. Rhiannon still holds a flame in her heart for Kit but does not believe they are mates. Kit has a lot on his plate and his patience is wearing thin; he must find Jase, convince Rhiannon that she is his true mate while protecting her from the onslaught of danger that is coming for her.
The story is fast paced, well written and fused with reality and fantasy. The characters are credible and engaging. The authors do a fantastic job showing how Kit proved to Rhiannon that they were meant to be together; their romance is steamy and filled with wild passion. Both are courageous characters. I also loved the secondary characters and the camaraderie between the shifters and Rhiannon; surprise, there are other shifters who hold Rhiannon dear to their hearts. Jase is full of surprises too! I absolutely relished this story till the last word. A most entertaining read. If you treasure shifter romance this is a fantastic book for your library. {I was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the magic begins with the first thought to paper. Without reservation, I recommend this book.

Fury and a sense of betrayal is what Kit feels when he finds his mate’s scent on Jase’s shirt. There has to be more to the story of why Jase is in Las Vegas; he is not the type to live in a shifter community, but there again he is the heir to the Alpha and it is time for him to accept his responsibilities. Kit is out there to find Jase and bring him home, but Jase has found his soul mate, a wolf shifter, and has no intention of becoming Alpha; that is why he has not been home in 5-years. Rhiannon has had a life and a career born from sheer grit and determination, but throughout Jase has been her best friend; it is only when he disappears that she suddenly begins to doubt their friendship. Rhiannon asks Jase to pay off a loan for her with Mancini, but when she returns from her mother’s funeral, Jase is nowhere to be found and the debt has not been paid; now bounty hunters were after Jase and she needs to find him first. While trying to locate Jase, Kit and Rhiannon cross paths; Rhiannon is his mate, one who he failed to claim years ago. The conflict of emotions playing out across his face were of desire, anger, frustration, tenderness, fear and joy, while she was mad, hurt, confused and… something else. The cougar in him caught a whiff of weakness, while Kit looked past her anger seeing a tired, confused, bruised and stressed out woman debating her next move. Rhiannon is determined to fight their bond at all cost. If they were really mates the magic would not have let them walk away from each other all those years ago; but the magic that binds mates together, true soul mates, didn’t get it wrong, didn’t make mistakes. Rhiannon was his and she just had to learn to trust him again. But what was she doing borrowing money from a loan shark. What could have been so important that she needed to go and do something so stupid. He has no idea how to help his mate or his irresponsible cousin. Eliminating the Mob boss seemed like the easy way out of the whole situation, but how? This was quite an intriguing story, with lots of twists and turns, and one that I enjoyed reading.

Loved the book. I like the Charmed in Vegas series, the stories are all fun and sexy. Rhiannon is looking for Jase who did not deliver to mafia boss Mancini the money she owned him. Kit is searching for Jace on orders of his cougar pack alpha. Kit and Rhiannon haven't seen each other for years and are mates. Lots of action till these lovers are united.

Cougar's Claim is another lighthearted action adventure romp in Sin City. Also a second chance romance, Kit and Rhiannon have to navigate the through ogres, demons, and the local constabulary while working though their own baggage. Luckily in Vegas anything can happen, and just maybe this cougar will get to claim his mate.
This engrossing tale keeps you guessing, laughing, and breathing heavily. Go Kit, I'm rooting for you!

The battle demons and kit has to deal with Inila, a dragon.
Together they decide to find Jase and get all this mess straightened out. They find him under the protection of a wolf pack.
Once mates, always mates. Kit and Rhiannon make a splendid pair and once the realize it, they are inseparable.
The wolves, Jase and the Dragon really add to this book.
Love, dedication and fiercely protective alpha males put this book at the top of my list. Excellent writing.

I am a huge fan of the Charmed in Vegas series, I love reading them and this one is no different, it is a very obsessive read making you constantly want to turn the pages jut to find out what happens next! I love the way that this is written, it bings you into the world that this story is based in, it grips you and refuses to let go. I love how its not based on just one type of shifter, there are numerous different species of shifters as well as other supernatural creatures. This story I filled with exciting twists and turns, you just don't know what is going to happen next and this makes this book even more compelling.
The characters in this book are written so well, you see into them, who they are as people and not just what is happening to them at the time of the story. You feel like you know these characters, their hopes and dreams, their pain and anguish. This is an emotional book where you feel so many different emotions while reading this book. I did seriously love Rhiannon, she is so fiery and strong, she is her own woman and has made her own way in life, she eludes a confidence that betrays a woman with pain, fear and insecurities. But these make her who she is and I loved her even more for being human. Kit has come to Vegas looking for his cousin Jace because he has been away from the pack for so long his father wants him to come home and become and take his place as alpha Kit and everyone else knows that Jace is not alpha material except his dad he has found a room in the hotel that indicates that Jace was there along with his mate that he has not seen in 15 years but is not leaving until he finds them both on the other side of the door he opens is Rhiannon his mate who is looking for Jace because he was suppose to make her loan payment because she had to leave town because of her mom now she is back and the loan shark tells her that Jace didn't pay and she is going to have to give herself into his unsafe keeping if she cannot come up with the money. Kit is thrilled to see Rhiannon and doesn't want to let her go but her friend the dragon shifter comes and helps her get away from Kit but she is gets caught in the elevator with a shark shifter and when she gets out she just will not go about her business so she ends up getting into more trouble and seems like Kit is there for her but she still will not give him the time of day but he tells her he is never going to leave her again and he means it but she doesn't believe him until he has to prove it. Then Rhiannon finds out that a Demon is after Jace but is after her to find him but Kit will not let anybody her if he can help it. Great romantic suspense. Purchased.

Man oh man, do I love this Charmed in Vegas collection and this has got to be one of my favorites, well they all are really, I can't choose just one. This cougar is so hot he makes you sweat!
Rhiannon Delamatre is a human who used to believe, well she still does, in fated mates, but not for her. Problem is that is all she is drawn to, shifters and they never want to comit because they are waiting for their fated mate. OMG !!! Totally hilarious with lots of hot sex, twists in the storyline and Rhiannon is a hoot!! Talk about one bad a$$ female, she holds her own and doesn't take crap from anyone, including Kit , the Shifter that ran away years ago, and caused her to become a burlesque dancer extraordinaire !! Kit is back looking for his missing cousin, when he comes across some scents in a hotel room that cause his inner beast to go berserk !! Rhia's smell is all over Jase's stuff !! And Kit is not a happy cougar at all !! See what happens when you get a pissed off Rhia and cougar shifter Kit, (gone absolutely off his rocker) in a room !! You get one huge explosion of passion as well as Kit taking out the bad guys who are out to hurt her. Lots of twists in this one, keep your eyes open.This is a must read for anyone who likes paranormal romance. It's part of the Charmed in Vegas series, but it stands alone. Recommend readers be 18+ . You make do and you do the best you can. fearing for the worst on return not only does she run into her biggest regret but she fears see will never be able to love another. Second chance? Or maybe just a chance meeting. He's been send on a mission, retrieve the son of his Alpha. Not sure what's going on as he catches a whiff of something familiar and somethings he's been searching for. One for two things. Either the little brat has a secret or he's been somewhere that will cost him his life. A nice surprise for him when he opens the door, but he's got some repairs to do while he searches for one and tries to win the other. It becomes a deadly game which leads them somewhere unexpected...

Another fabulous shifter tale set in the chaos of Vegas. Kit is sent to bring Jase back to the cougar pack as the next Alpha since he is the son of the current Alpha. What Kit finds is the scent of his mate in Jase’s hotel room, a mate he has been searching for ever since he made the mistake of walking away from her when they were teenagers. His cougar is now pissed that Jase knew where Rhiannon was all this time. Rhiannon can’t believe Jase let her down, all he had to do was deliver her payment to the mob boss but apparently he got that all wrong. When she ends up at his hotel room, what she doesn’t expect is to find Kit, the one man she’s always loved in his room. As Kit and Rhiannon work to track down Jase, will they admit their feelings? Kit is 100% set on claiming her as his mate but Rhiannon is fighting him tooth and nail. With demons chasing them and a mob boss wanting his money, will they get out of this alive to have their HEA? Kit and Rhiannon had me laughing, they acted like so many couples do in real life.Kit may be the Alpha type cougar but he still thinks like a normal man..act first before you think, lol
Rhiannon is a feisty gal. I loved how she tried to kill the demon when she felt Kit was in trouble since she at that point didn't like him too much.
Shifters galore in this story, Cougars, Wolves, Ogres, Dragons and Demons. Oh wait and even a shark, yes a shark who is stuck in an elevator. Throw the mob and omg what a adventure.
A must read good feel book. Remember it is R-rated which only makes it better.
I can't wait to see what the author's come up with next.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Rhiannon and Kit have quite a past and neither has forgotten each other in all their year's apart. When he sees her again while looking for his cousin, the sparks fly.
Rhiannon has had a real bad past with shifters and is ready to write them all off when she sees him again. He really hurt her but leaving after she thought they would be together forever. Kit had his reasons and plenty of regrets. I like that she doesn't make it easy for him to make up for the pain and really puts him thru his paces. Kit is the kind of guy that tries to do what is right but often places the needs of others over his needs and desires.
