Tom Gates #11

DogZombies Rule (For now...)

Rate this book

The eleventh title in the bestselling series, from the brilliantly talented Liz Pichon. Here's my EXCELLENT PLAN to make MY band the BEST band in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

How hard can it be? (Very.) Right now I'm going

1. Write more songs. (Not about teachers.)

2. Make a SPECTACULAR music video. (Easy.)

3. Get some sleep. (Tricky when you're being kept awake by LOUD NOISES)

4. Annoy Delia. (Nothing to do with the band, but always FUN)

I don't like this book because it gets a bit boring at the end.
I recommend this book 8 to 12 I gave it five stars.

Another one that Ben nagged me into reading--but I understand why; it's a great series to engage boys in reading

I've been reading this series for a few years now, but it's starting to get a bit old for me now. There are a lot of pictures and hardly any writing and the writing that's in it is very easy. I would recommend this to 7-11 year old.

Funny

There are lots of funny scenes, but I'm only rating it four stars because there were some glitches when trying to turn the page.

Fun read. This is my first Tom Gates book and I am curious why it is so popular among children, especially boys.

It is from a child's perspective. Pet is fun but not allowed as his sister has allergies. So he hoped that he could have the opportunity to play with someone else dog for a while.

It turned out it was not a dog.

The teachers at school are encouraging them to move around and do a bit of dance. Tom and his friends Derek and Norman were making a new video for their song Dogzombies Rule using his dad's phone. Another disaster.

The use of illustrations and graphic fonts makes it an easy read. The story itself is simple but rich. Tom is still a kid and his time is between school, homework, play and visiting relatives. That's about it. So whatever happened on these occasions and how he acted is part of being a kid. That's why it is so popular.

4 stars read.

In this book Tom and his band have a disaster trying to write and film new music/music videos while Tom's uncle also gets into his old band and Tom's gran and granddad help him in a surprisingly shocking way!

It was a good book not as fun as the others I feel however kids will still enjoy the tale I'm sure especially with all the quirky drawings as usual throughout to bring it to life I enjoyed the Fossils and what they did for Tom and his friend's especially!

Tom wants a pet, but his parents said no. His sister has allergies. His chance comes when his friend from school asks him to mind his pet while he moves house.
The hamster arrives and Tom finds having a pet can be tricky. Marble sleeps all day and runs in his squeaky wheel ALL night. How can Tom survive with no sleep? Trouble at school and at home arrives in big doses. How does Tom sort it?
I enjoyed the misadventures Tom has.
Recommended for MG. Great for reluctant readers too.

Książka dobra dla dzieci w wieku 9 - 14 lat.
Mi osobiście troszkę się dłużyła, jednak nie była to zła książka.

This book is good because it introduces more about the brilliant band Dog zombies. With Tom getting
in trouble by throwing food out the window, that made me laugh so much. marble was a nice character to be introduced as well. The part when Tom was a potato face i was in stitches. The surprise music video also took me by surprise and a new song is always fun. One thing: Let's stand up for doodling. That part felt like I was in was in a protest.

Let's talk about the top three things.
no.3 Potato face. Yeah that's right the potato face moment was a sight to behold and hilarious.
no.2 Marble. Marble is quite an energetic character and is very playful and he's a hamster what else would you want.
no.1 DOGZOMBIES! It is the whole point of the book and the best point. I got to learn way more about dogzombies than I ever did. Great job Liz.

This book shows me a band called Dog Zombie rule and Toms grandad, and grandmom likes the band. Tom is a boy who loves Dude3 and Dog Zombie and his sister Delia is annoying and sometimes Tom pranks her. Toms' friend Derik is his best friend and Derik's dad is ready for Teacup Tony and the saucers. You know so many songs are in this book and Marcus Toms friend he is very annoying like Toms sister.
