Like being stranded on a desert alien planet wasn't enough...

All I ever wanted was someone to love. Now my best friend is knocked up by the only hunky alien-dragon available and I can't tell anyone how totally jealous I am. The handful of humans who survived our ship's crash are locked in a struggle to live in sweltering heat with dwindling supplies.

The others are tak

I really wanted to like these books, the series, but, I have a lot of problems with some of the basics. First, the female character(s), not likable, and give new meaning to, too stupid to live. They are at the mercy of a dangerous planet. They have no self defense skills, and yet continue to make stupid choices that not only endanger their lives, but other lives too. Over, and over again. Gee, I have nothing to offer in way of protection skills, but I'm going to insist on going into danger wi

I’ve found a new crack obsession. My definition of crack is a crazy premise, an alien hero (different color and/or unusual appendages are a MUST), a tried and true romance formula and a fascinating ‘verse that captures my interest. Boy, has the Dragons of Tajss delivered. Does it have its flaws? Yep. Do I give a flying zemjla? Nope, not even a little bit.

A mishmash of different fantasy/sci-fi components that we’ve seen in shows from Dr. Who to Beetlejuice, this is a series that goes

Really liked this one too even though I did not like the MCs as much as the couple from the first book.

Still into the series!

I have not been so happy to finally be done with a book in a long time. I found Jolie to be irrational and extremely over emotional (which didn't follow the base that was set for her in the first book or the fact that she is supposed to be a scientist). She spent almost half the book crying or being completely irrational. Sverre shows basic signs of being abusive, his outbursts of anger in which some of them he grabs her (not the sexy way) and gives presents or sweet caresses to show his sorry. ...more

I really like the idea behind this series. I don't love the characters so much, but part of that is I feel like we don't get to delve into more than their surface thoughts. Which is weird because we're in Jolie's head A LOT, but I just don't feel like I really got a handle on her as a character.

Like, she's supposed to be smart and she is supportive of Callie for the most part, but she's also kind of anti-social and, as a scientist, I felt like she should have understood the ramifications of not

This is the second book in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajass series by Miranda Martin and Juno Wells. I didn’t get to read this book as an ARC so I had to buy it. Which I didn’t mind because I love this series and Miranda Martin and Juno Wells are very good writers/authors. I l

Awesome series for any dragon-lover and sci-fi fangirl.

This planet is not an enjoyable setting at all, but I like how it brings all these couples together in the fight for survival and love. Jolie is an interesting character because her personality is happy and hopeful. No matter what, she's pretty chipper. She makes it easy for the reader to be in her head. That being said, some things didn't make too much sense, like:

This was ok. I liked it but not as much as the first book. That usually happens to me though with these kinds of series. I like the first couple and would prefer to follow their storyline instead of someone else's.

I also found Jolie to be a bit annoying at the beginning. She complains about her best friend's happiness so much and talks about her jealousy so much that it makes you question whether its Sverre that she loves or if she would have loved any old alien dragon man that came along becau

So second time round was about as same as the first

So I thought the author had made a serious mess up on her timeline in the preview I read at the end of book one for this book but turns out I was wrong so anyways this book was pretty much the same as the first Jolie gets saved by the alien man who is infatuated with her and they end up falling in love and getting pregnant...I found myself skimming through a good bit of the book reading only the parts where they were actually talking because I
I had an issue with the timeline that was supposed to be in place in this one. Based upon what's written they're together only a couple days before going back to the city which again seems to take longer returning to than leaving as they got to his home while she was unconscious but it takes a day and a half to get back... Going to read the next one since it is an interesting story overall.

Jolie and Severre

This fantastic world of dry heat, terrible beasts and two suns is slowly killing Jolie. Epis will save her but she'd be stuck on this planet for the rest of her life. She's not sure she wants to accept a life here and give up on a rescue.

Jolie decides she will help get the ancient shield for the city working, against orders she leaves the city to see if she can find the relay that doesn't seem to be working. Severre sees her and wants her but knows he doesn't deserve her. He fee

We pick up where we left off with Jolie missing. We get to find out where she has gone. Sverre has been following Jolie since they landed. He thinks that Ladon is keeping them all for himself but that isn’t true. And when Jo ventures out to find something for Amara, she ends up getting attacked. He too rescues her, like Ladon did for Calista. But he doesn’t live in the city and then end up farther away in a cave. Lots of trying to understand each other. That is always the biggest issues. I did not like as well as the first book in the series. Many inconsistencies between both books in regards to the world itself. Things that were foreign to Ladon about humans were recognizable to Sverre. There were also too many grammatical errors. Distracting. Also the time line from Dragon's Baby to Dragon's Mate was way off. Noticeably off. I did not care for Jolie in this book. She was extremely jealous of Calista. They are best friends , but she wanted everything that Calista had. I felt it ...more

In his quest to keep her alive he must risk entering Ladon's territory knowing it may mean his death. But he will do this for his Jolie. I accidentally picked up the second book, but I didn't feel lost, so that was great! Let's just start this off by saying I really enjoyed the book, and Miranda will be added to my TBR. I agree with others, if you enjoyed Ice Planet Barbarians, you will most likely enjoy this series.

Was Jolie a bit too gung ho about marching into danger? Maybe, but I enjoyed her confidence and willingness to back up her man. An insta-love story with a lot of action and intrigue. This was a well-developed story li

ok so I'm still really into the series.. but having said that this one started off a little rocky.. and had some bumps in it.. but that's ok. the main character Jolie is the main character in the first book's best friend so I was already interested in reading more about her. Sverre was also really interesting to bring into play.. we saw the rough brutish warrior side of their race with Ladon but Sverre is more the analytical reasoning type that plans things and talks them out and he really wants ...more

Ok, so this is a "comfort" read for me. I do think the writing could be better. There are a lot of cliches and old troupes used. (Especially for this one.) I think the characters are also shallow and the relationships quick with little to no reason. Still this is the kind of read that is fun. I like that there is a sweetness to the romance and that both characters really want that love and relationship. There is no getting around the idea that this is a permanent relationship. It hits the sweet ...more

This held my attention, but there were a few hiccups in the story that kind of hurt the enjoyment factor for me. Jolie and Sverre are an odd pair, compared to the couple in book 1. I wanted to like Jolie but she was just so convinced that she needed an alien man to be happy, that I felt like she would just settle for any alien man or the first one that comes along, so I instantly didn't like her for that reason. It also made the relationship be

Where is the ending?

This is the first book I’ve read of this series and probably the last. I like the concept, if she hadn’t “ended ( and I use the term loosely)” the book like she did, I may have been tempted to read more. If you can deal with a stunted ending, this is a good book. But she literally built you up for a fight and then instead of the fight she writes a sex scene. She cleared the way for several storylines but she just built up this one and dropped the ball like a lead balloon.

On a rugged alien planet it's all about survival. The crashed humans have been led to the alien city and while several struggle to get the old but more advanced technology running again one lone female braves the outside. She stumbles into another dragon based alien in her dehydrated state and he whisks her away. He has knowledge they need back in the city, she doesn't know if he will help though.

It's ok

The first one was awesome and adventurous. This one dragged on and for a leader he seems ignorant. I felt like I was slow moving and I wanted to get to the point. By the time the book was 3/4 read I felt like finally we are getting somewhere. Jolie is self centered and ridiculous and I'm surprised she is even friends with Calista. But hey y hat is another story. Overall this was ok

Trying to rebuild the city, hunt for food and find a way to grow food in this hot almost barren land is first priority.
Jolie's rescuer is another dragon man, they don't speak each others language, but find ways to communicate. More danger in on the horizon as slaves land on this planet.
I would have given 5 stars except for editing.

Jolie's srory

This 2nd book in this series is Jolie's story. She decides to do 2 life treating things. First she doesn't take the epis and second she leaves the city alone and doesn't tell anyone she's leaving. This could have been the end if not for Sverre finding and saving her from herself. Good read.

This is Jolie and Sverre’s book. They face the same challenges as the characters in the first book. I enjoyed it but was wanting something a little different in this one. The shock from the first book (the wreck, dragon aliens and different body parts)was completely missing from this one.

Love these series. Can't wait to read the others. Look forward to the babies being born. I hate the humans acting up but it is typical of them to think they are better.
