Meet The Beckett Boys. Three Brothers. Each One Dirtier, Rougher, and Sexier Than The Next…

A standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA

ASHER

I came back here for her.

Back to Rock Bridge to claim the woman I can’t stop thinking about. The one who dug her way under my skin, despite all my efforts to forget about her, to pretend like nothing happened that one night.

Whitney Cavanaugh.

I spent months upon months telling myself that it meant nothing. Just a drunken dare between friends. A dare that started with a kiss and ended with the two of us naked, our bodies writhing against each other, mouths locked, heat pouring between us.

When I finally accepted I was lying to myself, I spent months thinking about how I wanted it again. I wanted her again.

But now I’m back and I’m going to make things right.

To explain why I left without saying a word.

Soon she’s letting my hands caress her her soft curves, letting my mouth roam between her legs.

My desire to own her body is nothing short of compulsive.

But I want more than just her body.

I want her heart.

WHITNEY

It’s been thirteen months. Thirteen long, painful, slow months where I didn’t hear one word from him. Didn’t see him all this summer even, despite us being in the same town. Then he shows up out of the blue and turns my life upside down again.

Asher is back. For me—or so he says. I don’t know what to make of that. I don’t know how to feel about it, either.

He’s even more muscled than I remembered from last year. Muscled and warm and so damn tempting. Thinking about his hands on me sends a hot flush across my skin.

Damn him for the way he makes me react to him sexually. I don’t want to still feel anything for him. We almost had sex that night, and then I never heard from him again. It was mortifying and hurtful, the utter silence that stretched over months and months.

Until he shows up, declaring he wants me. What the hell is that about? I don’t know what to think. What to feel.

Every part of me wants to resist.

But he always was good at convincing me to do bad things.

I wonder if he still is...

Her eyes are wide, and even in the dimming light, I can see the brilliant green of her irises. She’s breathtaking. How did I stay away from her so long? Her skin is creamy soft, glowing, and I just want to strip her naked.

I take one step toward her, then another, until we’re just a breath apart. I can see her chest rising and falling faster. My own breath is growing more rapid, my body responding vividly to her proximity. I ache for her. “I missed you. The way I left things last summer was a mistake. But I’m going to make it right.”

“Maybe…I don’t want to be friends with you again,” she murmurs. Emotions are flickering wildly through her eyes, so fast I can barely keep up. Hurt, fear, anger.

Desire.

It flickers there for just a moment and is gone in a flash, but I saw it. Whitney is turned on.

“Oh, I don’t want to be friends,” I tell her baldly.

That makes her draw back in confusion. “Then…what are you here for?”

I allow myself to touch her, my thumb grazing the hip bone right under her shorts.

DNF. I couldn't do it. I liked the first two books, but this one....NOPE!

You give up your scholarship for football and your last year of college for a piece of ass? REALLY! You almost had sex with her went back to school didn't talk to her for a year then realized that you had to have her so you leave college?!? You can't come home and woo her or call her and win her over, you quit after everything others have done for you?!? I can't stand stupidity that stupid.

You might like it but I just had to say NO.

From mediocre to terrible

This series started out with a mediocre book, Smith, continued with Jax, which was about the same, but Asher is just plain bad. No plot whatsoever, feels like the author just whipped this up on Sunday night to meet her Monday morning deadline. Needs editing, there's mistakes within the timeline (like in the first book, Smith mentioned his mother is "probably dead", but here there's mention of a funeral service the father held for the mother, which was a sham); some other things don't make sense, like why Asher quit school.
Bottom line is: Save your time, nothing worth reading here.

3 1/2 stars

This is probably my favorite in this series, so far. It has more depth to the characters, their feelings, and there's the intriguing twist of the feud with their cousins. It does follow the previous two books regarding how they are determined to be with the women they're interested in, ignore their own feelings, get scared when they realize that they're falling in love and push the women away, then mope around until they can figure out how to get them back. This would be ok, except for it's been almost the same thing with each story, although this one is a little different from the others.

It's a really good story, but I hope to see something different in the upcoming books. Reading the same storyline throughout the series, except for the changes in characters and their personalities, gets to be annoying. I'm not saying that these are bad stories by any means, cause they're not. There just seems to be a lot of repetitions from book to book. Just my opinion.

I would recommend this book, series, and author.

I liked Asher, not so much as Smith I think this brother is actually a real jerk and I don't like him.

I think Asher's story became a bit samey. I was hoping he would be different or at least appear different. Unfortunately he just seems to have the same attitude as his brothers and the same personality as his brothers and that sucks.

I liked Whitney shes a little too trusting but I don't mind her actual personaility besides that. She just seems to fall back into Asher's arms very easily and I'm not so keen on her being like that however she does walk away when she needs to and you have to respect that.

After reading Smith than Jax. I had a much clearer expectation when reading Asher. Although there still continues to be some pretty clear editing that needs to be done, I'm reading for the occasional error (deal with it) and move on. I throughly enjoyed Asher and Whitney's story. I wish that it was made obviously clear all the reasons Asher left "the first time". However, due to the way these stories are written at Novella length, I understand why details were omitted. I cannot imagine how much I would have enjoyed this book, written at Novel length and edited professionally;)

First we must admire this book cover because it's even better than the Jax cover. I may have to print this one out, for educational purposes of course.

I liked this story, liked Asher and Whitney, but I think Jax's story is still my favorite.

I had planned to stop at this one and not read the Beckett cousins books, but Asher ends with an unresolved issue, so now I am reading Jamison.

I enjoyed this book, Asher was so sure of his love for this woman, even though he doubted it once. He soon remembered why he needed her in his life. He loved her and always had.

On to the next book

I wish they’re weren’t so many books in one series! I am enjoying them but it seems like they’re the same story just with a different name for the characters!

GREAT!

I chose this rating because this was a very good book. I really liked the way Asher decided to go back and get his woman Whitney. But there was one thing that I just did not like and do not agree with was him dropping out of school for woman. It never said that in the story but it lead us to believing that's what happened. Anyway as it turns out Whitney went to school and Asher and up going back to school which is great. Their romance was also hot. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Talk about second chances it's more like the third time is the charm because after Asher does what he did to Whitney I'm surprised she would talk to him again. Yes she was hurt and humiliated after the first time he left because he was scared of his feelings towards Whitney and he when he returned after a year he was determined to get her back. Did he get her back or did she turn him down? You would have to read the book for your self. All in all this book was great

Asher and Whitney are a second chance short too good to miss. Whitney has been bidding her time until she can make her college dreams come true. She has been scrimping and saving and doing everything she can to get there and now she has enough to make her dream a reality and it couldn't come at a better time. Things at home have hit an all time low. Her dads drunking is as bad its ever been and her mom seem defeated and her once best friend Asher has been ignoring for since that fateful night that also took their friendship too far... Asher has come back from school for good. He is back to get the only thing in his life he gives a damn about - Whitney. He walked away because he was confused and overwhelmed but he is crystal clear on what he want and that is Whitney forever! But convincing her is not going to be easy. Can Ash get Whit to give him a real honest a shot at forever?

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. This is the third book in the series. This is Ashers story, the youngest brother. It has a few inconsistencies but they don't take away from the story. This review contains a few spoilers.

Asher withdraws from college and comes home to rekindle things with his best friend Whitney. They almost hooked up romantically a year ago but he ran when things got to close. His brothers are not happy with him quitting college and Whitney is shocked to see him. She has been working hard the last 3 years to save money to go to college, although her father is an attorney and you would think he could help her out. Her father isn't happy and drinks a lot. One scene in the beginning is her helping him to bed and she is glad they live in a ranch and doesn't have to get him upstairs. Later Asher is recalling having to climb to the second story of her house and help her back in and her father tells him she is upstairs when he comes to see her.

They are together for several months until the Beckett boys mother comes back from the dead. She has been in prison this whole time. This turns Ashers world upside down. He bottles everything up and ultimately push's Whitney away. They haven't seen each other for a month when she decides to go see him and tells him she loves him. He tells her to leave and go on with her life, that didn't include him knowing she was planning to leave for college. Weeks later at Jax and Brooklyn's wedding their mother is in an accident and he finally starts coming to terms with his problems. He decides to enroll in the same college at Whitney and works to win her back. They work things out and the book ends on their cousins coming into the bar saying they now own Outlaws, future books to come.

I love the Beckett Boys this one made me say hmmm

Huh. OK. Well. Did any anyone else read this one get the end and go what just happened? I'm not bashing the Beckett boy books. I have been a fan from the start. Loved the first 2, had been excited for the last brothers story... Kinda felt Asher got a bit short changed on his story( listen to me talking like they are real ) and a bit rushed!? That being said what I did read was certainty interesting the addition of a returning family member sure added an unexpected plot twist, with numerous detailed sex scenes (fanning myself) and as always I enjoy the witty banter between the brothers.
As I mentioned above the ending has me curious as to how this story will go from here I honestly thought this would be the last book.
This may have not been my favorite book out of the bunch but I'm still going to check out the 4th book whenever it comes out!

This book was between 2.5 and 3 stars..there was a little more going on than in the 2 previous books and I felt a story building, to then end so quickly..I would say to the author that rather than writing many little parts of a book, if you would add a bit more story, you could have hooked me more to continue reading the series. This story ended with a teaser to the what would be covered in the next book, but there were barely pages in this one to call it anything more than a novella..there could have been more content added to give it the substance it was missing.

The Beckett Boys

I've read each book in this series, Asher the youngest of the three brothers leaves football and college behind to chase after the girl he let get away. You can feel the intensity from Asher and Whitney in every page. If you haven't read the series yet start out with the first book Smith.

Mediocre

This is another book in the Beckett series and they are all pretty much along the same lines all fairly generic romances. This book is just another man meets woman messes up then finds himself and goes all out to get his girl with some hot sex included. Its worth a read but don't expect anything special.

The buzzword for this book is ministrations

Ugh! I know, I know, I read this entire series. They were about as filling as deep as a puddle. In all 3 books the Author used words over and over again, like ministrations

40%

The title of the book is only 40% of the book-the balance of the book was a different author. I already had bought the books of the bonus author books so I paid twice for the same stories since no mention of the "bonus" author was mentioned on book cover.
