This is a very eclectic mix of short comics--some as short as a single page--across a range of genres, though with SF/Fantasy-oriented material predominating. Nevertheless, there are a few crime stories and even one or two that are more or less just slice of life realism stuff. The production values are excellent (mostly, though some stories have poorly-designed fonts and/or colour schemes that inhibit readability), and many of the artists have some pretty serious chops--all the more impressive since I have never heard of most of them. The comics themselves are more of a mixed bag. There are some very good ones, some very silly ones, and some very slight ones. There aren't really any outright crappy ones, but there are plenty of them that didn't do a whole lot for me, despite the skill with which they were rendered. Worthwhile, overall.

A great fast read! I enjoyed the variety of writing and art skills shown in this anthology. My one complaint is that most of the lengthier comics were hero based. Some good spins on the classic format, just not my preference.

The cover illustration by Tara McPherson was my personal highlight.

Best out of the three POPGUNS so far. There were a couple duds, but overall I thought most of these entries were pretty good. Even if the POPGUNS totally sucked, again, the $30 price is really a worth it for this many pages.

This HUGE 472 page volume has 55 different comics, inside! Every illustration and story style you can imagine. Graphic Novel-gasm! The best part is that I found this beauty at Murder by the Books the other night for a mere $1.00!

Another massive and enjoyable volume of this Image series, with a laugh out loud 'Bastard Road' story and a huge diversity of styles.

The artwork comes in all styles and is absolutely gorgeous. As with many items from Image the stories are of varying qualities; some are incredible and some suck.

Sorry, this bloated anthology has a ton of misses. I only recall liking about 5 of the stories.

Very impressive variation of style in the artists . A collection similar to the flight series.
