July 16, 1969-July 20, 1969. US. 10 year old Annie wishes the rest of her family shared her excitement about the moon landing. Her brother is obsessed with the piano and her parents are worried about money. When her brother Mattie buys a piano on credit, his parents are furious and force him to return it. Mattie disappears. Annie wants her brother to come home and is determined to find a way to show her parents that Mattie's dream of being a piano player is just as important as her dream of becoming an astronaut.

Grades 5+. In 1969, the launching of the Apollo 11 moon rocket fuels 10-year-old Annie's dream of becoming an astronaut, but problems at home make her realize that it will take hard work to make her dream come true.
