The streets of Chicago can be a dangerous place late at night, so when Lash Demon/ Watchers, Rhys and his partner come upon a fight between elves and demons, they are ready to break it up.
Enza, bakery owner and master baker is caught up in the middle of it all when she heads down that same alley running from muggers and jumps right through a portal that has appeared. A portal that humans shouldn’t be able to see, catching sight of that, Rhys dives in after, thinking she is the enemy in a great

I relish returning to the Watcher world. The verity of demons and the warrior Watcher’s are all delicious. Their was a lot to savor in Awakening Kiss.

The author dose a wonderful job explaining how the world, mates work, and all the different creatures, so if you have never picked up a Watcher's Kiss book before you could grab this one and go. It reads well as a stand-a-lone!

I liked how the story started. Our heroin has no clue as to her heritage (who she is) and stumbles into a supernatura

This is my new favorite book in this series! I absolutely fell in love with Rhys and his natural desire to protect Enza.

Growing up, Enza never quite fit in but she had a loving mother and grandparents and she made it work. Sure she was electronically challenged but that never really concerned her before, until one night in a dark alley when her whole world got flipped on it's axis.

Rhys, a Lash demon and Watcher, was simply on his nightly patrol when a chance encounter with some dark elves and a

Sharon Kay AWAKENING KISS in another spectacular addition to the Watcher's Kiss Series! Pastry chef, Vincenza DeLuca (Enza), wanders into the wrong place at the wrong time and observes a supernatural skirmish. She is pursued by Watchers, Rhys MacLeod, thinking she might be a threat. This contemporary PRN is suitable for adult audiences. It takes place in Chicago and Torth.

I like Enza. She has no idea that she is a Halfling. She discovers a lot in a short amount of time and handles it well. She h

This isn't my first Watcher read, I really enjoy reading these books - they are full of good characthers and romance and of course the paranormal element, they are Demons - but the good kind.

This is book 4 in the Watcher series, which is a spin-off series from the Solsti Series (another to add to your to be read). So our heroine is Enza and she is of Italian descent and is a fabulous baker, she is compassionate and warm and open to discovering about a new world, which is a good thing as she is a

Excellent story! This book was about Rhys and Enza. It is a beautifully written story with a great romance, villains and lots of action. Rhys is a Watcher and is a strong and compassionate hero and Enza is equally strong, especially considering all the new challenges she had to deal with. Both are wonderful characters and the romance is beautiful. I love the Watcher’s series and enjoyed reading about them and the world they live in. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Book 4 in the Watcher's Kiss series - 3.5 rounded up

I've been quite enjoying this series. There's nothing too angsty or OTT drama, no TSTL heroines, it's all good :) I really liked the hero and heroine in this book, they communicate very well and it's easy to see the connection between them. I did think Enza's reaction to finding out that there were paranormal creatures in the world and that she herself is in fact half-demon was a little underplayed maybe but I did like the fact that the author

I really absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to read more in this series! When I realized I was reading book four and that meant there was three others I could go read right away I might have made a sound of excitement that had my husband looking at me strangely. I absolutely loved the premise of this book. Hot men, yummy pastries, and enough thrilling intrigue to keep me on the edge of my seat eagerly turning the pages; I really couldn’t ask for more.

I received this book from net gallery for an honest review.

This is the second book I've read from this author and I wasn't disappointed: it exceeded my expectations in every way.

Enza, is working late at the bakery. She starts making her way home on foot, when she notices two dodgy men. She starts walking fast and soon realises that the men are gaining on her. Somehow, she finds herself cornered in an alley: she manages to break free and runs for her life: but ends up going through a portal. Ca

Another amazing addition to the Watcher's Kiss series! I don't know how she does it, but Ms. Kay never ceases to amaze me with her creativity and attention to detail. She delivers the most action packed, intense page turners that provide just the right amount of love/lust and suspenseful drama. Not to mention a cast of kickass characters that will pull you right in. If you're a JR Ward fan then you are going to LOVE Sharon Kay.

This time around we're introduced to Rhys, a Watcher skilled not just

Five cups of awesomeness!!!

Sharon Kay has done it again. Which isn’t surprising, as I've yet to read a book of hers that hasn’t completely enthralled me. Since this book starts in Enza De Luca’s coffee shop, I’m doubly enchanted, because um, COFFEE. I love that that she is part - owner, and bakes. Two of my favorite things.

You barely blink and the action begins. Having left work late, Enza is on her way to catch the bus on the not-so-safe streets of Chicago. But she runs into trouble instead. T

Sharon Kay is definitely one of my favorite PR authors!  I've read all of her books and I haven't found one yet that I haven't loved.  She never disappoints with her strong kick-butt heroines.  I always tend to love storylines that revolve around food.  I don't know why...  it's just my thing.  So, the fact that the heroine is a pastry baker really resonated with me.  Loved it!

Walking home late from work Enza is thrown into a world where humans didn’t and shouldn’t know about. But that is not all, Enza had a secret that even she didn’t know she had. Violence would threaten her when her secret comes to the attention of Demons that has been going around kidnapping beings with special gifts. But the only thing standing between her and the Demons out to abduct her, would be Rhys.

By now if you've read the other books in the series you know when the characters meet that they are mates. What I love about these book are that although I know it already the characters don't and I love seeing them take the journey to finding that out.

Rhys and Enza balance each other. Ryhs is so patient and sweet. And Enza takes everything in stride adapting to new things rather than freaking out.

The story brings in a few side characters we've got to know while also introducing a new group of

I love the Watchers!! This series always just sucks me right in and I'm always sad to see it end. I loved Rhys & Enza, their connection was instant and believable. Of course this series provides plenty of laughs, great plot, and some steamy steamy moments between our leads. The secondary characters are great and I would love to see more this Watcher team. I'm for one excited to see Raul and Daphne's story as its apparent there is some history there.

I loved Enza I thought that girl was adorable, "she wiggled beneath him and his length bumped her inner thigh. “Um, you’re…” She paused, embarrassed. What if she was the first woman who he was too big for? How to even say it? Were all supernatural women able to handle their men’s size?" I loved this book, I loved Rhys.

I was really happy to have the opportunity to read this latest book in the series. I couldn't remember all of Rhys' group from the previous books, but it was nice to see him interacting with Enza... and I liked that this book was longer, which made me more engaged with the romance and the storyline.

I did kind of think that Enza was putting herself in dangerous situations, but I admired that she had

Awakening Kiss by Sharon Kay

Stepping into the world of Torth and its awesome characters is always a treat. And this time we enjoy the treat of sexy lash demon Rhys and lovable baker, Enza. And speaking of treats, our heroine is a baker so we get to read about all sorts of treats from blueberry muffins to pound cake with icing on top. My mouth was just watering reading about her treats. I really enjoyed reading about Enza baking and sharing her treats with Rhys and his fellow warrior buddies. En

What I Loved: Romance and Sci-fi/paranormal stories are a weakness of mine and no one blends the two together like Sharon Kay. With alpha male heroes who are super strong but have a soft spot for spunky heroines who can fight for themselves, the Watcher's Kiss books hit solid notes for me. Good stories with a quick moving pace and memorable leads, these books make me happy. Awakening Kiss is a wonderful addition to the se

From the very first book I read from the author, Sharon Kay, I fell in love with her world. It reminds me a lot of JR Ward's series, Black Dagger Brotherhood. Very much a contemporary romantic paranormal genre. Her books are full of strong women, alpha warrior men, lots of paranormal activity, even an off-world, with a very contemporary, realistic Earth at the same time.

Falling on before falling for her mate

Rhys and Brenin were having a normal patrol, fighting some dark elves and one of them pops open a portal to escape. Rhys stops him, but Enza comes barreling down the alley, running from regular muggers and jumps into the portal. Something humans can't see. Rhys grabs her, following her through. She freaks not knowing what is happening, and Rhys asking her weird questions about elves? He scanned her, got an odd Deserati/human reading. And the race is on. Rhy

"I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review." I really enjoyed this book. It was a delightful read that keeps you going from the beginning. I'm not going to spoil anything but if paranormal hunks and strong women are your thing, this book is for you. I really liked this book! It's always difficult to read a book that's in the middle of a series with which I'm not familiar. But the Author did a great job of making the story, romance, and characters stand on their own enough that I could and did follow. Although, I will say that I did get a bit confused about the names of the people versus the names of the talents versus the name of the groups/bad guys.

I love this series so I was so excited for this new book. It’s great of course. Rhys is a Watcher living in Chicago. While out patrolling he pretty much rescues Enza as she was running from a group the most likely would have mugged her. She falls into a portal and her entire world changes. I love how there is so much action and the world Sharon Kay paints is perfect. I live in the city so I know exactly what she’s talking about. I’m really glad this series will continue with new character lives. ...more
