I loved this book. I thought the story was wonderfully written as well as informative and the illustrations were beautiful. It made learning about Honey Bees easy and fun. As an adult, it even taught me a lot I didn't know, so it's a wonderful book for children. Definitely recommended.

very informative! I would definitely recommend this book to any child who is interested in insects. I tried reading this book with my 5 year old son and it was mostly over his head, but he did like the artwork! The fun bee facts throughout the book were interesting to learn and illustrations made following the story easy. I will definitely share this book with family and friends with children in at least first grade. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book through the Goodreads ...more

This is a wonderful, educational book. I am all for learning a thing or two while reading. The information you get is great and it opens endless opportunities for additional learning. The illustrations are realistic and not cartoonish. I really like how they throw in actual photos of Unkle Ray. I must admit that I learned a thing or two reading this! My son is only 3 but I know this will be a well used learning tool for me.

I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway.

After many years of reading children’s books to her daughter and secretly writing some of her own, Donalyn Kent has finally succumbed to her passion. Painting for Honey Bees is Donalyn's debut picture book. She loves to write entertaining stories for children that are based on true events and circumstances. Her tales not only educate young minds, but are thought provoking for adults as well. ...more
