The Complete A to Z for Your V provides women and girls with what they need to know about their personal health without shame or judgement.
Whether you are researching a specific issue or just want a go-to reference for yourself , your daughter , your niece , or your partner , this book offers it all in a friendly, illustrated format from an expert in the field of women's health . The Complete A to Z for Your V covers every topic the author, a well-respected OB/GYN with over 20 years of experience in practice, has been asked about in her career. This is the doctor's guide for the laywoman, and it pulls no punches when talking sex, shaving, what's "normal," vibrators, STDs, and beyond.
The friendly and funny tone, along with easy-to-understand illustrations, make subjects that normally make people squirm easy and enjoyable to read about. The author's focus is to make women feel comfortable and empowered in their bodies , which makes this book stand out from the dryer medical guides.
Women's health is a topic that is now more out in the open for discussion than ever before , and The Complete A to Z for Your V makes finding the answers easy and asking the questions even easier.
I've been reading this book slowly throughout the year and I've finally finished it! Vagina people! You need to read this book! Every question I've ever had about my parts has been answered in an informing and funny way by professionals in the gynecological field.
I was the kid whose parents' never had "the talk" with them (turns out they didn't know much themselves) so I grew up very ignorant of everything from the difference between the vagina and uterus and how to explore sex safely (I actually have a hilarious/traumatic story of badly hurting myself on accident due to this). I feel like this book is written in the perfect way for both adults and teens.
The writing is full of humor and inside jokes while remaining professional and serious when it needs to be. It's interspersed with fun facts, art, quotes, and asides that break up the information nicely. The book is also super accepting while addressing things like kinks and lifestyles with the same respect and lightheartedness as the rest of the book.
That being said...the one area this book does fall short on is more inclusive language for our transgender friends. Now I totally understand that this was written "for the ladies" as a way of embracing our desires, femininity, and I think that's fine. But now a days you also want to make sure to address things in a way that doesn't exclude the transgender community. I also want to reiterate that I read this over the course of a year and I could be forgetting something! I just wanted to mention it just in case.
Overall this book was seriously amazing and I learned so much!
A good book to treat and love your woman’s parts better. A good read for me as Indonesian woman who never get any proper sex education. (Because in here, SexEd or talking about sex is taboo while the sex perversion is rising.) 🤦🏻♀️#crazy
Simple writing and lots of pictures. Short paragraphs/cliff notes on women’s health. Written like a cosmo article. I can’t say I’m a fan of being called sister constantly, not referring to my vagina as a yum-yum, but if that makes health less intimidating, go for it.
Please ignore the sex you advice- use actual ties meant for bondage not underwear. The material can’t be properly knotted and may tighten / cut into flesh and be hard to untie quickly.
