As Jane Smith's 25th birthday approaches, she suddenly has a compelling need to find her biological father. Though she's never questioned the love of her adopted parents, she's always been acutely aware of how different she looks from them and her adorable twin sisters. She knows her father's first name and is Greek (thanks to her bio mother), responsible for her height, eyes of separate colors and dark coloring. So, off she goes on a sudden trip to Greece
Review by I adored reading Finding You. I haven't had as much fun in quite some time. The story starts a little sad. Jane always knew that she was adopted.  Her birth mother did pass on a few breadcrumbs of information. The reason Jane isn't blond is that she is half Greek as her mother had an affair with a Greek tour guide name Dimitri.  Maybe Jane needs to find her biological father and get answers to her drowning confusion.  And just maybe it was time to tackle h ...more

I put this on my DNF shelf even though I actually skipped through much of it and did listen to the end. I wouldn't recommend this any of my romance reading buddies, mostly because the main character was really not likable, at all. The author didn't manage to make me feel sympathetic towards Jane, just baffled at her impetuous, behavior, foolish judgments, nasty self pitying hurtfulness. UGH.

Finding You by Jo Watson is a fun romance that takes readers on an adventure right alongside the characters. The setting is picturesque and the author has no problems with describing everything which allows us to feel like we are there visiting too. The romance, while a little bit of a slow build-up, is completely swoon worthy. And the little added mystery (the heroine is looking for her father) is an added bonus! Overall, I really enjoyed

Finding You by Jo Watson is the third book in the Destination Love series. I have not read any of the previous novels in this series, but Finding You was so much fun that now I want to. Each of the novels in the Destination Love series can be read as total standalones. I don't even think there is any character overlap, which is nice because they are true standalones that way. Finding You is the story of Jane, who goe

My Thoughts....

This was a interesting romance told from the heroine's POV that will take the readers on quite a adventure as adopted Jane now twenty five sets out to find her biological-birth father [Dimitri] who was from Greece. Will Jane end up finding more that just that as it seems that she is way out of her element? When she gets to Greece she

I loved this book! I am a total sucker for travel romance books for obvious reasons and this one was so enjoyable! It brings Greece to life and we all know I was mentally booking a plane ticket by page 40. Jane was a unique heroine. Lots of self-loathing and spaz moments but this is what made her feel so real to me. While she might not click with every reader, I definitely enjoyed her sometimes wacky antics and embarrassing moments. Full review to come but I'll definitely be checking out the oth ...more
An ending that made the book

Finding You is a cute romantic comedy wherein a rigid heroine is repeatedly forced from her comfort zone during a spur of the moment trip to Greece in search of her birth father. My favorite aspect of this series of standalones is the different settings they take place in. Each heroine from a lively group of friends meets her Mr. Right while abroad, and while they’re falling in love the reader gets treated to descriptions of the beautiful surrounding location. As a p

Just like the previous book in the series it is a witty rom com that will have you laughing out loud and so hoping that the main characters will be getting an epic happy ending.

Finding You by Jo Watson is an adventure of a lifetime. I fell in love with this stunning tale. Engaging, heartfelt, and exciting. There were moments of sadness, angry, and betrayal as well. Jo Watson is indeed a talented writer. She baited, lured, and hooked me straight into her fictional world. Finding You is a title that perfectly suits this novel. The main charcater, Jane, goes on a quest to find her biological family and maybe end up finding more than just that. Romantic and hilarious. Fami ...more

Jane has always known she was adopted by the family that raised her and she has been searching for a missing part of herself all her life. She never fit in with the other kids at school who said some cruel things, and her mother's constant comments and attempts to "fix" her took a toll on her self-esteem. It took another hit when her birth mother refused to meet her after Jane turned 18 and tracked her down, so the walls she built up around her heart to keep everyone out just got even t

Finding You is a fun, sweet, beautiful and at times sad romance that had me right in the story with the characters from cover to cover.

I think there is a little bit of Jane in all of us. She feels different from her family, she is filled with self doubt, she feels that she doesn't fit in.

When she takes off on a whim to Greece, she definitely finds more than she bargained for. Through all kinds of chaos and catastrophe, we are taken on an adventure of a life time

Jo Watson’s books always end up surprising and delighting me. Finding You was a delicious, heartfelt story of finding yourself that really tugged at my heartstrings.

“Plain” Jane Smith always felt like she was a round peg in a square hole. Adopted by a family of blonde-haired, blue-eyed, gorgeous people, her dark hair, different colored eyes, and sturdy build made her feel like she didn’t fit in. Unfortunately, her feelings became a self-fulfilling pro

Fantastic story of finding yourself, finding your true love and learning about your heritage all set to a magnificent back drop of Santorini in Greece.

Some of how Jane is feeling at the start of the book, the feelings of not really fitting in with her adoptive family, reminded me of how the main character in My Big Fat Greek Wedding felt initially. Not really sure of her looks, and doesn't feel quite connected with the rest of the family.

Completely out of character for Jane she out of the blue

It’s not unusual for me to mention a current read to my friends and on occasion say, yeah, you’d like this one. Rarely though do I tell pretty much everyone I know “You’ve got to read this one.” Jo Watson’s FINDING YOU is one of those books I’ve just had to tell everyone about and recommend. FINDING YOU pretty much has something for everyone. There are parts that I not only laughed out loud, but laughed hard enough that I got tears in my eyes. Yes to everything about this book! A far away and intoxicating land, sexy tour guide, delicious food! Oh, the possibilities are endless! When Jane wakes up and something feels off. She just can't pinpoint it until she's standing in front of a travel agency and knows she needs to fly to Greece and discover her roots.

I loved Jane instantly, yes, instantly. Somehow I empathized with her feelings of not fitting in, and her going to Greece I couldn't contain my excitement! Dimitri is obviously amazin

Finding You is book three in the Destination Love series. It can be read as a standalone. I didn't realized that it was part of a series until after I finished reading it.

Jane Smith was adopted and unlike the rest of her family. She wakes up one day and feels off. She ends up booking a trip to Greece to find her birth father. That right there hooked me to the story. Jane is a great character. She's a little unpredictable and funny. My heart went out to Jane is her journey to find her place in t

I really loved this! It took a little for me to warm up to Jane, mostly because she seemed so very serious and formal. But she definitely grew on me, especially once she met Dimitri.

And oh, Dimitri. He was sexy and funny and sweet. I really enjoyed his character and what he was able to do for Jane.

They had some wonderful chemistry and I really liked the way their relationship built. It had a bit of fantasy and yet was very genuine and sincere.

Not your average, sappy, love story. This book had me laughing out loud at work at times and almost to tears at other times. Loved the way Dimitri built Jane back up into the fearless, fierce, Greek woman she was born to be. The underlying story line of finding your birth parents also make this book heartwarming as well as entertaining.

Jane’s adopted and even though she is loved by her adoptive family, she’s always felt different and like she didn’t belong. So she decides to go in search of her birth father. She only knows that he is Greek and that his name is Dimitri. She books a flight for Santorini (just because the name sounds right). Received in exchange for a honest review.

The gang’s back in this neurotically adorable romance where you fall in love with Dimitri and see just how messed up Jane is.

Jane you adore but will find frustrating at times. Her handbag will crack you up and her meltdowns are well needed. What will frustrate you is her low self worth and esteem. She is smart and funny but she feels like she is an outsider and not pretty. She doesn’t see herself as Dimitri does. He sees her as a sultry, funny, smart and

Finding you is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Each book is about one of the friends. Finding you is about Jane, she was adopted and when she turned twenty five she wanted to find her father. In a unlike Jane move she sets off to Greece to find her father the only problem is she only knows his first name.

While in Greece she meets this hot tour guide/model by the name of Ditimri. Whats funny is a lot of the males in Greece name is Ditimri which is also her fathers n

Sadly, I spent the first half (at least) of this book irritated! Firstly by Jane, the main female character who is actually stunningly beautiful but doesn't know it,(Cliché No. 1) but who also does and says the most ridiculously stupid things, secondly by Dimitri, the main male character, who is drop-dead gorgeous, sexy and a really nice guy to boot (Cliché No 2), and thirdly by the predictability of them falling head over heels in the most amazing setting of Santorini, Greece!

I won this book as a giveaway. I had never read any of Jo Watson's books so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I really liked it. It was a little different than my usual reading material but not too different. I love that the main character has doubts about herself but in the end she sees herself in a much better light and the ending is both sad and happy. The lead male character is easy to love. There were funny parts as well. An overall good read. Will definitely look for other books by Jo ...more

This is my new favorite book! I loved the sarcasm, the awkwardness of Jane and all of her embarrassing moments. The author did a great job capturing exactly how each character was feeling in the book.

The plot: Jane goes to Greece to find her biological father but in turn finds herself and the love of her life. The romance in Finding You was spot on.

This book made me laugh, cry, and empathize with each character. I would definitely recommend this book to those who love romantic comedies.

Sweet and funny book

Another wonderful book by Jo Watson. Jane, an adopted child, goes looking for her biological father and finds more than she bargained for. Like her other books, it takes place in an exotic place- this time it's the Greek Isles and you will feel like you are there. And you will fall in love with Dimitri, the handsome and sweet tour guide who helps her find what she 's looking for. It has hilarious scenes and heartfelt ones, too, and I just loved it.

Such a great book! It has everything you want from a Rom-com. You laugh, you cry and you fall in love with these great characters. Perfect short book for a rainy Sunday or a day down the beach. Fun and entertaining read. Let's hope it doesn't get made into a film as there is no man on this planet that could look like the Demitri I have in my imagination.
