Some fears haunt you …

When ballistics and weapons expert Rick Cannon learned the Department of Defense had developed self-steering bullets that show 100% accuracy and make even a gun novice a lethal sniper, he feared they would eventually end up in the wrong hands.

Until they become reality.

That fear comes true when a vet is killed with stolen “smart bullets.” Rick and his

Sleeman knows how to write romantic inspirational fiction with a knife-edge suspense twist, plenty of heart-pounding action, adrenaline flowing danger all while plunging the reader in the middle! You'll find yourself stepping into the characters like a well fitted suit and running for your life. Follow along the many twists & turns as you race to find the killer before he strikes again! I can see this story written in a future newspaper headline about its fantastical advanced military weapon ...more
Four stars....not quite as much of a favorite as the first in the series (which was a really good thriller), but still a solid story. The plot didn't allow for instant action, which made the story realistic but not as gripping. :) That changed at the halfway point, and the action was nonstop—I couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed how the characters' occupations weren't just a word on a page; Rick really did use his sniper background and Olivia was a practicing psychologist. It added a nice touc

Kill Shot is the second book in Susan Sleeman's White Knights series and boy oh boy was it good! After reading and loving the first book, Fatal Mistake, I was very eager to pick up Kill Shot. Right away the story grabbed me and I got invested in the characters.

Speaking of the characters, I loved them all. The members of the FBI Task Force (The White Knights) were awesome and I really enjoyed getting to know them better. I liked how Rick progressed in this story and worked through some of his is

The premise of this book is slightly terrifying -- Self-steering bullets -- and all too real. The action was crisp, the romance light, and the satisfaction at the end perfect. A great read for those of love romantic suspense.

This is the second book in this series that I have read, and yes, they can be read alone, but if you like mystery don’t miss either of these.
Some of our friends are back, and we have a top-secret weapon missing, and people using it to take out former snipers.
The author has us dealing with some really tough subjects here, mainly PTSD, and how it effects the lives of so many people.
Soon all seem to be running for their lives, and the FBI team is trying to find the perpetrator, who are they after a

Eeeeppp!!! I'm even more in love with this series now that I've read book two. Let me say straight off that Kill Shot reads fine as a standalone, but I'm guessing once you've read it you will want more of the White Knights so you'll be hunting down the first book, Fatal Mistake, while anxiously waiting for the next one to come out.

Mind you -- if you are a White Knights fan, you'll probably get a thrill out of this sweet observation: "Since Cal's recent marriage, he'd lost some of his intensity.

A suspenseful story laced with romance and wrapped up in a CSI-type drama! This author knows her stuff, and isn't afraid to wade into the complex details of crime solving, crossing agencies from FBI and local police forces. Book 2 of the White Knights series is a stand alone story.
With a serial killer on the loose, no one is safe, especially the psychiatrist whose client ends up dead. The frustration and intensity of trying to crack the identity of the killer came through, showing how difficult

KILL SHOT is the second book in Ms. Sleeman's White Knights series, and while it easily stands alone, fans will want to read Fatal Mistake to get Cam's story. This is romantic suspense so both are key ingredients in this story.

Both Olivia and Rick hold their emotions close and therefore readers are kept at a distance too. At times Rick comes across as a bully and Olivia is just plain annoying answering questions with questions. But both are in sync with their personality and their job descripti

I definitely enjoyed this book more than the 1st. The mystery/suspense was intense and stumped me until the very end. The H & h were great characters. We also catch up with the previous characters from book #1. As this is a Christian suspense book, there is no steamy scenes but we do have romance. I look forward to reading any other book(s) that SS writes in this series.
So interesting and gripping. The White Knights are wonderful. I also loved the story of Olivia and Rick. The narrator was outstanding, just perfect for this book. Looking forward to many more by this narrator and author.

Full RTC but here is a short bit of my review: Rick was a cool guy to read about and I loved getting to see his part in F.B.I. But the not so great parts of his story were sooo sad and he needed someone to love him. ;D Maybe like a therapist?

"Kill Shot" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It's the second book in a series, but you can understand this book without reading the previous one as each focuses on a different couple. This story did not spoil the previous novel.

Olivia may have seen the serial killer and knew several of his victims, so the FBI team questioned and suspected her. But when someone targets her, they keep her with the team so they can protect her. This provided a chance for the hero and heroine to get to know e

When you begin a Susan Sleeman book, get ready for a thrilling ride! She hits the ground running with pulse-pounding excitement and continues on throughout the book without giving you a chance to get off this powerful roller coaster ride of suspense. I don't know how she comes up with all these amazing plots.

Sleeman has created a great cast of characters to populate this book, her second in the White Knights series. These men and women are FBI agents who have all served in the military, and now

Kill Shot is engaging romantic suspense. The second book in Susan Sleeman's "White Knights" series, it focuses on ballistics expert Rick. His team is called in when a homeless man is killed by a "smart bullet," and he is immediately drawn to Olivia, the therapist who found the dead man.

While Kill Shot isn't the most fast-paced suspense, it is engaging. And though it features a lot of military and technical terminology, I could easily follow along—Sleeman explained things without dumbing it down

Ms Sleeman once again gives us a story that grabs you from the start. This is a Christian suspense romance, with the emphasis on the suspense.
The main characters are FBI weapons expert, Rick Cannon and Olivia Dobbs, a therapist specializing in vets with PTSD. Both are strong, independent individuals. The plot is engaging and it’s obvious that the author did extensive research on self-steering bullets. That alone was an education.
As others review the plot extensively, I will go a different route.

I have wanted to read a book by Susan Sleeman for some time now. Her newest book, Kill Shot is the second book in her White Knights series. While I haven't read the first book in the series I found this book read just fine as a stand-alone. However, I loved it so much the first book in the series, Fatal Mistake, now resides in my To Be Read pile.

Kill Shot is a fast-paced novel with twists and turns throughout. The heroine, Dr. Olivia Dobbs, is a psychologist who has several former military veter

I have very mixed feelings about this book. It was a good book, that I enjoyed reading, but I'm sorry to say that I didn't love it the way I did the first book in the series. After loving book one SOOO much I think perhaps my expectations were so insanely high that no book probably would have been able to live up to them. I did love the main characters Rick and Olivia, their faith stories and character growth were fabulous, and I loved watching them fall in love! There were a lot of par

Susan Sleeman is an expert at putting readers in the center of an investigation and keeping them guessing until the end of the story.
In Kill Shot, book two of the White Knights series, weapons expert and former sniper Rick Cannon takes the lead on the investigation into stolen self-steering bullets, which gives anyone with a rifle a threat.
Olivia Dobbs witnessed someone standing over the body of one of her clients. She is the only one who can identify the killer the White Knights are hunting. A
This is the 2nd book in the White Knight series. I actually enjoyed this one even more than the first one. I really liked the two main characters (a former Marine/FBI agent and a psychologist). I enjoyed the technology of smart bullets, drones, and other items that the military and FBI might use. I thought it was a good pace and wrapped up well. I will read the next one in the series.

Susan Sleeman is one of my favorite romantic suspense writers for a reason! She definitely knows her stuff. I'm always on the edge of my seat and Kill Shot doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for an action-packed, intense romantic thriller, look no further!

Kill Shot was an amazing book. I really enjoyed Rick and Olivia. I found myself smiling with them and even outraged on their behalf. Susan Sleeman kept me engrossed and guessing throughout the book.
I would definitely recommend this book.

Christian romantic suspense is one of my favourite genres, so I was lookng forward to reading Killl Shot by new-to-me author Susan Sleeman.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed.

This might be because I read Kill Shot right after If I Live by Terri Blackstock (which I've been anxiously anticipating for a year, and which more than met expectations) and Oath of Honor by Lynette Eason (a brilliant start to a new must-read series).

Or it might be for some other reason.

Whatever the reason, Kill Shot didn'

Kill Shot by Susan Sleeman is a novel that began with fast paced action and an intriguing plot, surrounding the murder and theft of high-tech self-steering military weaponry. Unfortunately, the author follows such a great opening with an immediate focus towards developing a romance between the main characters while abandoning the overall storyline. The thoughts, emotions and attachment between the main characters were unrealistic in light of a timeline of events that only spanned ten days. What ...more

What immediately drew me to want to read this novel was the fact that technology could be developed or imagined that would allow a novice to be able to fire a gun and have a bullet be programmed to kill a specific person without having to be skilled enough to be a professional marksman. Chilling to consider the repercussions if such a device was developed. What is worse is to imagine that it is and was stolen along with 3 dozen of the self-steering bullets. Are they intended for 3 dozen targets ...more

Ace said he was going to be killed, but his therapist, Dr. Olivia Dobbs, did not believe him. After all, PTSD had defined his fears over the last few years. She thought they had made real progress, but now he was back with the delusions again.

Except this time he was not delusional and before the first chapter was half over, he was dead.

The FBI’s Critical Incident Response team was called in to investigate – not because of who was killed, but because of how he was killed. And that was Top Secret

This Christian romantic suspense was right on target for me. My rating 4.5.

Olivia is a Christian therapist who has counseled a number of vets suffering from PTSD. She is trying to help a particular patient who is acting paranoid, thinking someone is going to kill him. The man takes off in anger and she decides to try to catch up. When she finds him, he has just been killed and she narrowly escapes the killer. The next thing Olivia knows she is being interviewed by the FBI even thought she doesn'

I enjoyed this novel of FBI procedure, suspense, and a hint of romance. While it is the second in the White Knights series and there are some allusions to events in the previous novel, this one read well on its own.

The White Knights is a special task force of the FBI. Rick is a ballistics and weapons expert and our hero. When some experimental, self-steering bullets are stolen and used to kill, the task force is called in. Rick meets Olivia, the psychologist treating the ex-military victim. Tiny

I won a Love Inspired Suspense novel by Susan Sleeman a few years ago, and really enjoyed it. I was happy to see she was starting a trade paperback series, and read and reviewed the first book in this series, Fatal Mistake....which I liked even better than the other book I had read by her.

And now I am reviewing the second book in the White Knights Series. I like series where an author keeps the same main cast of characters, centering on a different character each book. In this case, each book

As the ballistics and weapon's expert for the FBI's special task force nicknamed the White Knights, Rick Cannon has known the Department of Defense was developing self-steering bullets. Rick feared these smart bullets--which have one hundred percent accuracy that can turn even a novice into a lethal sniper--would eventually end up in the hands of the wrong people. But since the ammunition was still in the development stage, he figured they had plenty of time before that happened. He was wrong. D ...more
