A short crafty how to book with spring related projects, this Mary Engelbreit book has been in my ME themed kitchen for a few decades and I finally made my way through it. I love ME's style and these crafts add a welcome cheeriness to the season.

For a good share of my life, I have read craft books. I am always intrigued by the ideas people share, and I like to be able to do the crafts and/or be inspired to do something different. As I am not a natural crafter by any means, I appreciate books with step-by-step instructions and nice pictures. And thankfully, one of these was included in this book.

As I leafed through this beautiful book, I was inspired by the pictures that were posted. All the projects revolved around spring--which was nice in the middle of the cold, grey winter. There was a little bit written about each project, and they were organized well within the book. My only complaint is that there was very little listed about how to make these projects. I am one who prefers instructions that have more detail. I realize this would have made the book much bigger, but it is a personal preference of mine. However, for the crafty person, this may be exactly what is called for.

I've read this before, many years ago, but today I passed it in the library and couldn't resist bringing it home again. This little book is a breath of Spring on a blustery February day and it was truly welcomed. Altho some of the ideas are dated, they could easily be modernized or changed and the photos are wonderful. A fun read with a nice cup of hot tea.

When I retire, I might have time to do these cute craft projects. No time, no time, no time . . . except for reading.
