It is already written, but I want to give plenty of people time to discover and read "The Orphan's Secret" first. If my readers give me some great ideas in the next few months I might slip them into Book 2! Everyone who has signed up for the official web site http://celmarea.com will get notified of status updates, and will certainly know as soon as Book 2 comes out. Thank you for your question!(less)

One of the categories for this book seems to be Young Adult, but it works for adult readers who want an escape. It's a well-crafted tale, and the characters are interesting and different in each of their ways to make them believable. There is magic involved, and it works well in the narrative. The story goes along at a good clip all the way through. I like that the teenagers, who are the focus of the book, are intelligent people in their own right, with talents and minds of their own (and jobs, ...more

This is the best fiction adventure I have read in the past few years. In the imaginary world the book creates, the land and the characters are both familiar and intriguing, and the stirring adventure alternates with deep tranquillity. My favorite character is Alessa, because she’s got style, power, and sensitivity … and lots of secrets. The story is a weave of risky action, intense dialogue, inner emotions, and vivid descriptions that kept me reading past midnight. The rhythm of the comfortably ...more

What fun, that in this present world of uncertainty, mistrust, and violence beyond our understanding, we try to hang on to hope but find it hard, as daily horrors unfold and peace seems ever elusive, if not downright impossible to hang onto at all. What fun to shut off the “all-knowing” TV for a time, sit down and pick up a book full of impossibilities, wars, castles, mountains and seashores, tunnels, kings and princesses and two lovely young women… Beautifully descriptive, feeling the colors of ...more

I was absolutely captivated from the very first page of this book! RJ Francis has a unique ability to draw the reader into the story with such vivid descriptions that you feel like you are there watching the scenes unfold. She made a make-believe world seem very real! The plot was interesting and engaging and had me reading late into the night as I didn't want to put it down. The characters were well developed and I could relate to them because they were absolutely believable. I loved the relati ...more

The story is good. Characters are also good. The plot is simple but enjoyable. The main characters are Prince Jaimin and his lover Elaina. Even though he is prince, he is also teenager. So, there's the balance between serious plot with teenager main characters. I thought it would be childish story but no, it was quite engaging. Of course, it could have been better. Maybe with more complex and twisted plot. But I can understand because this book was supposed to be series. So, things may be reveal ...more

It's wonderful! I couldn't put it down. It's easy to read, welcoming and kept me interested from the first chapter to the last. This one should be a pleasure to read for teenagers and adults of any age.

R. J. Francis could rightfully call quaint New England, the beaches of Southern California, the misty Pacific Northwest, or magical New Zealand home. Currently, the Kiwi-American author resides in the green hills overlooking Wellington, New Zealand.
