Both Joanna and Tanner had disastrous marriages that ended in divorce! Their past experiences made it hard for them to trust each other, and their growing affection. Neither wanted a relationship or marriage again. Except that their girls who were BFFs had other plans.
💭My thoughts…
Yours and Mine was a nice cozy read. The flow of the story was perfect. I loved how you couldn’t tell it was written in the 80’s. 👯♀️I loved Kristin and Nicole’s friendship. They were two 11 year olds with single parents, and all they could think about was becoming a family and being sisters! Every best friends dream!
💜I really did enjoy both Joanna and Tanners personalities. They both have a lot of baggage, and trust issues due to their bad marriages. For fear of getting stuck in another bad relationship neither of them wanted to form one or marry again. They were both very honest about their feelings in the beginning and though out the story.
👩💼Joanna Parsons was a bit dramatic for me at times. She made for an easy situation turn into a huge fight. It was wild, and I just couldn’t with her. She was quick to apologize but it was unnecessary dramatics.
👨💼Tanner was pretty patient in my opinion. He wasn’t perfect but I loved his character!
I enjoyed both of the books in this bind up. The first was Yours and Mine - I loved the two girls. They are best friends and think that their respective single parents would be ideal for each other. Neither parent wants to have a relationship but things have a way of happening. This was written in the 1980's but has been brought up to date, keeping some of the ideals of the 80's. It was well written, good characters and believeable events.
The second book The Batchelor Doctor's Bride by Caro Carson - Well written. I liked Diana as a character and her out look of finding joy where you can and holding onto the precious memories you make, was well portrayed. She wants to help others find their happiness but not in an intrusive way. She meets Quinn at a ball, she sees him standing alone in a corner, so goes to chat to him. They spend the ball together. This then becomes their story, Quinn learns what he wants from life, she learns to stand up for herself when others try to put her down. There was one character Patricia, who was not a nice lady. She feels she is better than a lot of people just because she has money.
This book contains two stories. The first one is by Debbie Macomber - Yours and Mine. I am a fan of Debbie Macomber books and this one was indeed a good story.
The second one as by Caro Carson - this is the first book I have read by this author. I loved the story, the characters. Dr. Quinn McDowell and Diana. This is the first book in a series - can't wait to read the rest.
The Bachelors Doctors Bride by Caro Carson is a very good book and romance about Diana and Quinn. Diana and Quinn are soul mates even though Diana is trying to matchmake in the beginning of the story.
