First I want to thank J.C Hannigan for having a Blog release blitz so that I could be part of it, because let me tell you book two was just as good as book one! I definitely felt all the feels, and there was a lot going on throughout!!

So you honestly dive right into this story as if it were continuing from book one. This time it is focusing on the characters Elle and Braden. Of course another Miller will come to light in the seri

After meeting Elle in Book 1 Rebel Soul I was very intrigued about her story and I can say book 2 Rebel Heart didn't disappoint I loved it. Its a story of second chance romance its quite emotional and does deal with the serious issue of PTSD
Braden broke Elle's heart four years ago, he pushed her away when he proably needed her the most. It's the biggest regret of his life, he's worked hard to beco

I love that we got more of Elle and Braden. I so wanted to read more after Tessa and Brock's story. Elle and Braden's story is heartbreaking and beautiful. Yet at the same time, this book leaves you with a feeling of hope and love. This book will run you through so many emotions. It is definitely one book, you will not be able to put down though.

It was great seeing how they have grown and changed since the first book and their journey together is definitely one to experience.

I loved this book

Once again, JC Hannigan gave me a roller coaster of angst, hurt, pain, attraction, love... This book had all the feels! Rebel Heart is an emotionally gripping second chance romance and book two in the Rebel series. That being said, it could also be read as a standalone if you haven't read book one. (But seriously, go read book one! It was excellent!)

Elle Thompson becomes torn between two men, her first love and her newest love. "Wavering between loyalty to one and memories of a long-ago flame w

J. C. Hannigan's Rebel Heart is part stand alone and part continuation of the story told in Rebel Soul. The cast of characters is basically the same, but this time the focus is on Elle and Braden, who were prominent secondary characters in the first book.
We are four years in the future from when we first met these two and they haven't seen each other in that time. The intense relationship these two had ended in a whimper and it left Elle with a broken heart and Braden with a load of regret. The

When Braden broke Elle's heart he did it so she would never be stuck with a loser like him, his mother had died and he just didn't want her saddled with a drunken loser like him. Well Braden went to rehab and college to get himself straightened out and he is home now for his brother Brock's wedding but he is isn't sure if he is ready for Elle.
Elle was crushed four years ago so she went away to college and never came back but she has to now as she is the maid of honor for her best friend Tessa's

Rebel Heart (Rebel #2) is about young love split apart and being pulled back in years later. Braden and Elle, who we met in Rebel Soul (#1) were star-crossed lovers who lost their way, but brought back together years later. A second chance romance swirling with formidable topics throughout the narrative.
I love reading and reconnecting with the supporting character's, along with the detailed background including Ontario, Canada cities, I've visited.
A sweet romance country life series with a capti

I have really enjoyed reading this series. Each of the characters adds a much needed part to the story. Elle and Braden are forced back into each others lives while planning Tessa and Brock's wedding. Sometimes you never get over your first love.

First off I want to say how amazing it was to meet JC Hannigan in person. Seeing her out there doing her thing was inspiring especially to me an aspiring author myself. She’s given me great advice and hope that I too can become a published author.

In addition to meeting JC Hannigan I was one of the lucky ones to receive Rebel Heart before the release date (and it was an honor she included me) in-exchange for an honest review.
By far Rebel Heart is my new favorite JC Hannigan book even though I l

Elle and Braden’s story is one that I knew I would love. From the passionate introduction to the very emotional impact they had on me in Rebel Soul; I knew without a doubt that this book would be J.C. Hannigan’s game changer. Bringing the same heartfelt camaraderie, that was established in book one and paired with a deeper level of heartache and redemption, J.C. Hannigan continues to effortlessly explore the complexity of relationships and the beauty of love.

Braden and Elle, who we met in Rebel Soul Book 1, had a deep and serious love when they were younger, until they were forced apart by poor decisions stemming from tragedy. The author once again harnesses the beauty of young love, and the endurance it has even when years pass us by. When the gang gets back together for a wedding, all the hurt, pain, and betrayal comes rushing to the surface, fading to inevitable sparks of attraction, love, and longing to be together again. This group of character ...more

Rebel Heart by J.C. Hannigan is the second book in the series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. In Rebel Heart the reader follows Elle and Braden's journey back to each other. This book deals with a very serious issue, post traumatic stress syndrome and how PTSD can affect one's life more than you could anticipate.

Braden broke Elle's hear four years ago when he was grieving his mother's death and was unable to deal with what would come next for him. When he should have been leaning on

This is book 2 in the Rebel Series and can be read as a standalone, but you will definitely want to go back and read book 1 on Brock and Tessa. If you thought book 1 tore at your heart wait until you read book 2 on Braden and Elle.
Elle and Braden were high school sweethearts until one tragic event left Braden a shell of a man and broke Elle's heart. Events from Brock and Tessa are bringing each other back into each others lives and Braden needs to do more than just mend issues with his family,

This book was really hard for me to get into. I put it down and came back to it a few times before really settling in to read it. I liked the slow build and the burn was crazy but overall, I didn't like more about this one than I did like.
It was a "second chance" at them being together. After Braden had gone through some rough family things, he broke down. He got angry. He drank and he cheated. Elle has never forgiven him for obvious reasons but she hasn't been able to move past their all-encom

Five emotional Stars! This is the second book in the Rebel Series and can be read as a standalone novel. This book deals with PTSD so read it with caution. Braden's mother passed away four years ago and he was unable to deal with it so he pushed Elle away. Braden gets his life together and returns home for his brother's wedding. He tries his best to remain sober so he can win Elle back. Elle had a difficult thing trying to get over Brayden but when she sees him at the wedding she is unable to re ...more

Although this is the second installment in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I however, recommend reading them in order- I think it would be more enjoyable that way.

We were first introduced to our main characters in book one of the Rebel Series. I'm so glad that Ms Hannigan has given us “Rebel Heart”- so those of us that read book one could finally learn what became of Elle and Braden.

I couldn't wait for this book to come out I had to know what happen to the next amazing couple from this series. From start to finish I wasn't disappointed. The emotional connection between the characters is never ending. I loved that no matter how much time or distance Elle and Braden could never get over their love for one another. Rebel Heart

J.C. Hannigan has done it again with another brilliantly written novel. She is talented, hardworking and driven to keep all her readers wanting more. She knows how she wants her characters to sound and what her readers want to see. If you like romance, heart break and country life this is the series for you to pick up.

Bk. 2 in The Rebel series, we get the behind the scenes to the hot and cold Elle and Braden. In book 1 Elle and Braden had the perfect romance til they are forced apart now they are brought together for a wedding and the spark is still there but they've changed, grower into thier own but have thier feelings grown as well? Can this two try to rekindle what once was or is it to little to late? Great book, I loved it. ARC given on behalf of Obsessed by books for an honest review. ...more

This is book 2 in this series but can be read as a standalone.

A warning this book does deal with PTSD incase that is a trigger for anyone but is wrote in a beautiful and emotional way.

This is Elle and Braden's story who had the perfect romance till they were forced apart. Now a wedding brings them back together and although the sparks still there they've both changed.

I enjoyed this read and look forward to more from this author.

Elle and Braden's story was almost as addictive as Tessa and Brock's. A completely different perspective and one, I'm sure, many of us ladies have battled with at one time or another: To feed our hearts or to feed our brain and insecurities. Rebel Heart ended a bit abruptly, with no finality and leaving me wanting to see how things turn out. A crazy, insatiable tale of cat and mouse love - great work, JC! ...more

Book 2 in the Rebel series. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Braden broke her heart 4years ago, now as circumstances bring the two together for a wedding. Will Elle forgive him or will she continue with her current romance? I will say that Elle irritated me at times.

The second in the series is Elle and Bradens story. First love and the emotional turmoil of it all. Second chances and the emotions of dealing with PTSD. This was an amazing story beautifully written and dealt with it all so well. I can't wait to see if there is more in this series to read with some of the other characters we met in book1 and 2. I would highly recommend as a must read series. ...more
