Only read the relevant chapters 7-9 for my upcoming trip and the quick read got me very excited for the trip. It did a good job at 1) blending the history of the area into what stands there today and 2) overviewing each of the popular areas. Published in 2008, it’s a little dated as some of the businesses they recommended are now permanently closed but of course the major attractions remain. To be fair, this has been only my secondary source of info on the area (and I’ve yet to visit in person) so my opinion on it doing a good job overviewing could be unsubstantiated.

Great food, great wine, exotic mountains and islands and beaches--what's not to love? This one really whetted my appetite for a trip to Washington/Oregon/Vancouver. Both witty, informational, and fun.

Wilson gave me this for my birthday, so that I can fantasize over the pretty pictures of our, seemingly, future home. It's very, very pretty.
