WORDLESS: This is a stand alone story told through Shiloh and Pierce's alternate POV'S

Being that this book is loosely inspired by Han Andersen’s fairy tale The Little Mermaid (NOT the Disney version), taking place in the modern and human world I did start to question my sanity, but when I've not seen or read 'The little Mermaid' (shocking I know) I'm probably having a different re

I've read a few of this authors books and loved them so of course I was going to read her new book & I'm so glad I did.
This is a contemporary romance inspired by Hans Andersens fairy tale The Little Mermaid (not the Disney version), taking place in the modern and human world.

Shiloh is a secret locked away by her father. On her 21st birthday she's allowed one night of freedom. This night changes everything and of course one night is not enough as she needs more freedom. She believes Pierce i

This may be loosely based on the NON-Disney Little Mermaid BUT regardless of similarities to Disney or Han Anderson I was hooked from the start and devoured the book !! I initially signed on because I love when authors take those Fairytales and do them over with a modern world twist and I challenge myself to read 2 new authors a month !! BUT the cover was stunning and the tagline too so it was a no brainer. It was the perfect length story and the flow was so easy. Ironically this is the 2nd stor ...more

Shiloh has been raised as a secret, locked behind high walls, and armed guards. Her father is a powerful crime lord, and she is his only weakness, so the world has no idea she exists. But Shiloh wants to be free so badly, and when her twenty first birthday comes around, it's her turn to have one night out in the world. Instead of having fun, she ends up in the middle of a gun fight, and rescues the most beautiful man she's ever seen, but when it's time for her to go home, she has to leave him be ...more

It's VERY loosely based on The Little Mermaid... in the sense that the main character is drawn to the ocean, and loses her voice. This book is not a fairy tale. It's not a story of a pretty romance, all wrapped up in a little bow. This book is gritty. It's a little dark, it's about fifty shades of weird and even just trying to lay out the plot to my best friend the other night made the story sound really creepy and very 'fifty shades'...

But take my word for it, it's not even close to Fifty Shad

5 well deserved stars!!

This is the story of Shiloh, a twenty-one year old who has been kept behind the walls of her father's mansion with her sisters all her life, until her twenty-first birthday where each sister is allowed out for the night only. She's different to her sisters though, one night just isn't enough. She meets Pierce, the bad boy business tycoon and feels an instant attraction. Little does she know, their fathers are enemies.

It's written in the P

I give Wordless 5 stars for keeping me interested and intrigued throughout. Alyne Roberts has brought us a passionate story about powerful families on both the east and west coasts and what one is willing to sacrifice for freedom.

A great story about a long standing vendetta, a young impressionable girl, and a chance to be free. Shiloh Blackard wants her freedom and is willing to give up her family for it. Did she think she'd have to give up her voice als

I've never seen or read any other version of The Little Mermaid, Disney-style. I can see how it would loosely follow the storyline. Mostly I see it in the girl saves guy, guy wants to find said girl-savor, girl finds guy, but clueless guy doesn't see it until it’s nearly too late then add in the overbearing daddy. Of course than you add in the heroine not having a voice… ok, well, I guess it does follow it a bit more than I had originally thought!

I enjoyed this book a lot, maybe because The Litt

Wow, I loved this one. I read that it was Inspired by Han Andersen’s fairy tale The Little Mermaid so I was expecting something fully based on that story but it's not. I was kind of expecting a mermaid story and its not. It took me a little bit to get the feel for the story but then I was hooked and didn't want to put it down.

Shiloh is a crime boss's daughter. Her and her sister have been kept sheltered and no many people know they exist. On her 21st birthday she is given freedom for one day. S

Wordless was an interesting take on a classic fairytale. Deceit, danger, passion, and betrayal are all found between the pages and have a way of pulling you in.
While some aspects were a bit unrealistic, you have to just suspend reality and allow yourself to get caught up in the story, and I did get caught up. There were several times when things were intense and emotional. My chest got tight and I could feel the heartache. Interesting characters, a unique storyline, and an easy flow had me racin

I liked the storyline, but the random words that would be explained, put a break on the storys flow. Another thing that would stop the rhythm of the story was the missing words from some sentences, thing written twice and once (that I noticed) two sentences did not make sense together. The last thing I was a bit bummed about was the fact that I couldn't feel a connection between the characters, other then that they lusted after each other, there was no buildup leading to how they fell in love.

I couldn't get into this story at all, loved the blurb and it's referenced to The little Mermaid a fave of mine and understand this is not the Disney version but I felt no connection to the characters or story

Reminded me of a modern day little mermaid. (Which it totally says in the description but I rarely read those.. I like to go into books mostly blind)
