Ryan used to be a major league baseball player, but he lost everything. He's suspended, he's being falsely accused of drug possession and his wife betrayed him in the worst possible way. He fled to Minnesota where he lives in a remote country home. He's a broken man, but maybe spending time with his new neighbor Frankie can heal him. Frankie has inherited the dilapidated house next door to Ryan and discovers the house comes with three children. They apparently stayed there before Frankie's aunt ...more

Ryan is really blunt, “I don’t share. If we’re dating or a… thing or whatever the hell you want to call it, and Cam makes a move, he might end up eating his teeth.” Ryan's friends can read him like a book at times, "Ryan practically growled as he straightened in his chair. “Okay. Jesus. What is your problem? Forget I said anything..." I enjoyed this book, loved the characters and the three boys made my heart melt.
Inheriting a house from her Aunt is the best thing to happen to Frankie Vaughn. Instead of continuing to put on a happy face when she's anything but in living the life of a socialite, Frankie moves to Minnesota only to discover three boys living in the rundown home she's moving into. Will she give the boys shelter and the chance at the life they might not get if they go into foster care, or will her growing relationship with suspended major league baseball player Ryan Walker; a man who has been ...more

Jody Holford just keeps getting better and better. This book was so much more than a romance novel. It delved into deeper issues such as the flaws in the foster system and betrayal. I loved the three boys and I loved how frankie opened up her heart to the three of them, and Ryan, my heart hurt for what those closest to him did. This was a well written book with an amazing ending. Congratulations on another winner

I loved this book so much that it left me with a book hangover for days. I was so into the story that I didn't want to stop reading and I ended up staying up late so I could finish. Caught Looking has everything I could ask for in a sweet contemporary romance.

Caught Looking by Jody Holford will be released on April 25, 2017 by Penner Media Group, LLC. I really loved reading this book and enjoyed it so much! The first character you meet in this story is Frankie. Her aunt past away and left her house to Frankie who decides to return to the house for a fresh start. Upon returning, she soon discovers that three young boys are living in the house. They were staying with her aunt before she died. This is a shock to Frankie who is not sure how to proceed. F ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. The trope was unique. The insight into the foster care system was wonderful. My hat comes off to all the amazing and generous souls that put it out there daily for a child.

But it REALLY is an outstanding book. Kudos to the author.

This review is based on the ARC provided by the author and/or the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I love it when you stumble across a book which has a narrative, unlike anything you've read before. Apart from the romance, this is a heartwarming story full of compassion, love and forging new beginnings.
I finished the book, but it didn't do much for me.

This is a sweet story. I enjoyed the characters which seemed real. I didn't like all the cursing. The plot was too good that the bad language could have been omitted.

This is the first I have read by Jody Holford and boy there was so much emotions going through in this book. I fell for Ryan Walker for here is a guy who has loved only one thing, baseball and now it might all be over because of bad choices he made. Then we have young Frankie Vaughn who for the first time is actually living a life of her own. Two people who are opposite of each other yet are searching for the same thing, a life. Then we have three kids who just like Frankie and Ryan just want to ...more
