There is a greater threat than the virus.

Locked safely away in Shepherd’s nest, Claire is unaware of what stirs above ground. Her time is occupied fighting a war of another kind. Due to her mate’s relentless exploitation of their pair-bond, the nature of their link has grown consuming to the point that Claire has difficulty differentiating where her feelings begin and his

OMG. I am so upset. This book did not have a feel good conclusion, this was honestly so sad. I'm still so shocked by that ending.

LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! After everything that Claire has been through why not add (view spoiler) She fricken deserved to have even a bit of a HEA, but noooo!

Anyways for the most part this story was good, most of it was Claire and Shepherd rebuilding their relationship and Claire admitting her love for him. He was dete

So disappointed

I'm over disappointment.
I was waiting for the author to offer us a great ending. For me it was horrible. The ends like "everybody died" or left us hanging are no ends for me to a book.
It was dark, but it never said anywhere that it will be a drama!
What happened to Claire and Shepherd is just horrible and frankly destroyed all the good work of the author from the two first books.
I hated it!
Gosh! This is the first time I get this horrified feeling from a book.
And I totally regret

Epically heartbreaking.

How to summarize Reborn to adequately express in my opinion how amazingly well written and addictive this story was, expressing myself without giving away any spoilers, that would ruin it for others is not an easy feat, but here goes.
This third instalment in the alpha's claim series was beautifully heartbreaking but was also the most romantic in terms of emotions and feelings.
The love between our two main characters Claire the omega and Shepherd the Alpha actually shone
Audio: 5 stars!!! Shepherds voice was everything I could imagined for an arrogant anti-hero (sexy, forbidden, hate-yourself-for-loving-it kind of voice). And Claire…wow!! A male narrator that manages to capture her sarcastic and at times defeated voice. I was beyond impressed with the narrator!

The book 3.5 stars because of the ending.

I didn’t some bitching about the length vs the price when I reviewed Books 1 &2, but in all honesty my biggest gripe were with the cliffhanger endings.

Why Addison????

I loved and hated this book. It was perfect until the end. I knew the ending wouldn't be your typical happily ever after but I still expected Claire and Shepard to be together. I'm sorely disappointed by the way it ended.... ending are supposed to give resolutions and conclude the story. Instead I'm left in doubt on what actually happened to Claire and Shepard. I still have questions that Addison failed to answer. Did she kill herself? What happened to Shepherd? Hell,

I was under the impression that this series was romance, so the lack of HEA is irritating, especially because there were no warnings at all in the first and second books. Done with this author.

Firstly let me say I’M NOT HAPPY in fact I’m seriously bloody unhappy right now.
I purposely delayed reading this series until all 3 books were out. I checked on Goodreads (since they show all books in any series together at the side) and there it was Alpha’s Claim 3 books. So I started reading and even though Claire was annoying at times I was hooked and reading faster. I was up half the night and when I woke far too early this morning instead of going back to sleep like I should I started r
Alpha Possessive Heroes

Well this is one the reasons why I don't really read part series book.

1. You have to wait for the next part to be released.
2. You tend to forget the story/characters so you have to re-read them again to remind you of it.
3. Author can fuck you up and take different route ending. LOL

Still a good story.. but I was- I don't know.. expecting a HEA? I mean.. after all they've been through.. I feel like we owe them one. (If that makes any sense..)

Anyways as I said.. still a good book for people who l

Sigh.... I'm so disappointed right now. It's one thing to have a romance with a dark gritty take on a post apocalyptic society but Im a firm believer that there still needs to be a message of hope of some kind in the end or at the very least a smart and educational critique and/or commentary on society.

Through two wonderful books, the author creates these complex characters, allowing us to witness this dark work and these characters struggling to just survive. Despite this darkness, the author

I'm not a reader that always needs a HEA. I can handle 'cheating' if written well and it fits the story. Even cliffhangers, on occasion. But, to invest over a year in a series (I read what turned out to be book 1 on a free site before author pulled it in order to publish) and have such an ambiguous ending, so many characters not resolved, makes me feel more than a little manipulated and taken advantage of. Information about one of the leading characters was actually written to give false informa ...more

Book type:

A dark romantic tragedy.

Main genres:

Science fiction, dystopia, paranormal, tragedy, dark romance, and dark erotica.

Chapters 1 to 11:

This portion of Reborn was everything I love and come to expect from this series. The interactions between Shepherd & Claire were witty, funny, bittersweet, sad, and hopeful. And we (the readers) got to see them connect on an emotional level that we had yet to see in the past books. I got the impression that both these characters desperately wanted t
So here’s a kicker. This is the final book in the series. That usually means concluding a couple’s story even if they show up in future books. Not here. Nope. The series is over but not this couple. I wanna scream right now. Admittedly, I was half way through this book when I saw a Facebook post that stated this couple continue in the next book so I shouldn’t be so angry, but even that bit of a warning was not enough. I could’ve dealt with this hero a lot better if this story had an acceptable e ...more

When I got to 91% of this story I was shocked - I didn't think this series could bring about any more emotions but I cried at this point but that crying soon turned to (If I had a gif I would show my exact reaction) to WTF? NO you cannot do that Addison Cain...........when my eyes connected to those words "the story of Shepherd and Claire will continue in Alpha's Control, summer 2017" I ranted, and threw my dummy (Kindle) out of the bed! really was cruel!

What did I just read? Okay, I just finished the series and here are my thoughts. The series was okay. It was addictive to read, but that doesn’t mean I was okay with what I was reading. I think what was really hard for me to grasp was how negative everything was.

But goodness, there was so much tension.

This book is about the resistance and the rebellion. Claire and Shepherd continue to battle each other, but each learn a little more of the other side.

I felt like Claire and Shepherd could

I truly thought this was only going to be a trilogy... Nope, once again we're left with a cliffhanger and not knowing Shepherd and Claire's fate.
Shepherd got Claire back, and though she was there physically, he wanted her the way she had been before he went and screwed it all up by being a jerk. I found it highly amusing to watch his attempts, especially since Claire saw right through all of them.
Still, time eventually wears her down, and I believed it when she started to have feelings for him
Well, Ms Cain could have given us all that we expected .. but instead she gave us what we needed.

Claire and Shepard's story was never going to be cut and dry. I personally loved all the in dome politics and backstabbing. The search for right in the face of overwhelming wrong.

Sigh.. I will never take a happily_predictable_ever_ after for granted again with you Ms Cain!

Appreciate how many hours you've put into this, loved it. Thanks

Absolutely LOVED it!

Addison Cain is a genius.

After reading book 1, if someone had told me that she would be able to turn this series into a love story, I would have laughed and then scoffed, Riiiiiight.

But it's true!! I cried, people. I cried over Shephard and Claire and their messed-up relationship . . . all while my heart felt like it would burst. I swear I have not lost my mind! It was really that good.

For most of Reborn, Claire and Shephard debate the ills of their relationship along with

If you're going to read this, be prepared to be gutted. This book, this series… it ripped me to tattered tear-stained and bloody ribbons. I didn’t read it. I felt it. I was THERE.

And now that it’s over (view spoiler), I’m trying to process my feelings, a lump in my throat, a hole in my gut.
Book hangover doesn't even begin to describe the emptiness I feel right now.

Shepherd and Claire’s journey with one another was so fucking real, so
So how do I know this is a dystopian I ask myself. Well, if we have to live in domes and spending time with fresh orange trees is your treasured memory- you're probably living in a dystopia.

I dislike dystopia because I strongly prefer to see happiness, goodness, cheer, and hope at the end of the story.

This is a commentary on the trilogy as a whole by the way- so if you haven't read the entire three books- or at least the first two please don't read this.

Firstly- this series is gross. Bane Sh

I have to say, it is rare when a book is capable of bringing me to tears and that is what this long awaited conclusion has done. It absolutely shattered me and it was beyond refreshing. I am deeply disappointed at the lack of understanding from these reviewers. Not every story has to have a happily ever after for you. Some stories are more complex than that and deserve an ending that does not simply lay with the norm, and I applaud Addison Cain for her bravery and ability to give us the ending t ...more

Giving this book two stars hurts me. I adore the Alpha's Claim series and have been reading it since it's been on literotica but this last book just felt so wrong. Maybe my expectations were too high, to begin with, or maybe I just devoured it too quickly but it did not sit well with me, unlike the other two books. I did like how this book was so fast paced but at the same time, some scenes felt rushed and out of place. And there was a lot of character jumping. But really what made me rate this ...more

Since this book is the third of a trilogy, I'm just going to repeat my review here since it really covers the entire series.

This one is not for the faint of heart but if you like your sci fi romance gritty, if say you enjoyed The Last Hour of Gann, you would probably like this one. The hero is not a nice guy and he treats the heroine poorly. She is not a doormat or a pushover however. I'm not going to kid you. Bad things happen. But if you don't need your sci fi romance to be all sunshine and ro

I have been so caught up in this engaging saga, Alpha Claim, and even when other readers and reviewers are mad at the ending, I found it brilliant and do not believe it is the end of Claire and Shepherd. I think we will see them again in the new series, Alpha Control. Or at least I sure hope we do. Maybe, just maybe, Addison Cain wanted to allow the reader to make their own personal assumption as to w

“Little One” by Highly Suspect played in a loop in my mind as I read this. It fit this lyrically, shocker, and was better written, double shocker.

The rating was solely for my enjoyment while reading and does not reflect the quality of plotting, characters, writing. Other than plot, the rest was shit. The ending was awesome...but not for a trilogy. It was shitty. Absolutely fucked up because of the investment this series required from the reader and I almost 1 starred this because of that.
