Love from left field is the second book in the Knight Of Passion series and it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book and I connected with Miranda and Lucas. When I was done reading the first book I knew that Megan Ryder has talent and she proved it once again in Love From Left Field.

Miranda is president of the Georgia Knights (a baseball team based In Georgia). Her father, Seamus Callahan, is the owner of the team and he likes to have things done its way. She is trying to make

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

I loved the first book and couldn't wait to read about Miranda. I took a shine to her in the first book and wanted to know more about her. Well I got my wish and I really enjoyed living through Miranda and how her life would change. She is a feisty young lady when her team are in trouble and willing to make the radical changes needed. But what got me was how her loyalties were tied between her father and then t

Five-star review. Megan Ryder writes stories that make the reader feel like they are an essential part. I hurt when Miranda hurt and rejoiced right along with her. Her father Seamus ran things with an iron fist. The Knights baseball team was a losing proposition, they both knew exactly what needed to be done but did not want to give up and let it happen. The baseball commissioner sent in Lucas as a consultant. Oh boy, Seamus was not able to accept the inevitable. Miranda had a ten-year crush on ...more

Seeing woman in a management role in baseball always gets to me. You don't see it often and unfortunately it only comes after her father has a heart attack. Miranda is a very strong person, she knows she needs to get her team to the world series, but doesnt want to deal with the consultant the she is getting, because the team is in trouble. I hate that she doesn't get a chance to prove herself, on her own because of all of the debt, I also ha

Lucas likes to be prepared for anything, he's like a damn boy scout, "he opened a side pocket in his bag and pulled out several condoms and tossed them on the bed. She quirked a brow and smiled. “Feeling confident, are you?” I enjoyed this book, Lucas and Miranda were well matched. ...more

Miranda finally has control of her family’s baseball team, the Georgia Knights… at least, while her father recovers from a heart attack and longer if she has her way in the matter. She knows what needs to be done to make the team successful, it’s going to be painful and turn up some tempers but at the end of the day this team is going to the World Series. She has faith that can and will happen. Her father has run this team into the ground with debts and rules that ma

This is another great book in the Knights of Passion series! 4.5 Stunning Stars!

Miranda Callahan, President of the Georgia Knights baseball team, daughter of the owner, has struggled with her father to help turn the financially strapped team around. With a large loan payment to the League looming, she knows changes are necessary to avoid having the team ownership sold by the League's commissioner. Although she is President, as owner, her father does not listen to or respect her opinions even tho

This is my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last!

Miranda is the President of the Georgia Knights baseball team and after her father's heart attack, she is finally free that she has earned her position through merit instead of nepotism. Right before her father's heart attack, the league sends Lucas, a turnaround consultant and former family friend, to save the team from financial ruin. But since his father used to be the owner of the team, is he just biding time before he

Lucas was sent to help a flailing baseball team, Miranda wanted to help convince her father to try new things with the team. With a heart attack, a new business plan and lots of fireworks, Miranda and Lucas not only save the team, but find true love along the way. This book was another fabulous read in the series. The chemistry between the characters was spot on, the baseball jargon was perfect and this one had more family dynamic issues that made the story interesting to read. Overall a great r ...more

Great story by Megan Ryder. Love from Left Field is the second book in the Knights of Passion series and was even better than the first. The characters in this one really grabbed me and the author's writing kept me from wanting to put the book down. It was a great love story and a fun read and left me wanting more. I hope we will continue to get peeks into these characters throughout the rest of the series.
I would definitely put this series on your reading list if you are a fan of sports romance

Love FromLeft Field

This was a great book on love and perseverance . Lucas was working for the baseball organization with ball teams that were in trouble. The league sent him to try and get the patriots back on track and able to pay their loan that they borrowed from the league. Seamus Callaghan was the owner and he was driving the team downhill so fast that they were in deep trouble. His daughter was the President but he would not let her lead the way she wanted. This is my review and mine alone

Love from Left Field was not really my sort of book, probably because there is a lot of detail about baseball and how players are selected and what their strengths are. I am not a baseball fan, although this romance could be set against any sport and work just as well. If you are a baseball fan you probably would enjoy this book more than I did. There's nothing wrong with the writing or the plot line (other than it's extremely predictable). ...more

Miranda Callahan's father is stubborn and doesn't listen to anyone, even his own daughter when it comes to saving the Georgia Knights baseball team. But when a heart attack puts him out of action, Miranda will do everything in her power to turn things around and save the team she loves. Even if it means working alongside Lucas Wainwright, a turnaround consultant assigned to help. The only thing is, she's not sure whether she can trust him.

I have been looking forward to reading this sec

Long and dreary.

I kept reading expecting a change in the story at some point. But man this book was boring. Wasted my time. The h was indecisive at best. Trying so much to be a dad pleaser. There was no connection with the characters.

A home run

I bought this book because I like baseball and romance. It certainly delivered on both counts. The characters appear very realistic and the baseball strategy is interesting too.

Good read.

A good, easy to read story. I liked the moral of working as a team and not a dictator to help get results. Also opening yourself up for change.

Love From Left Field is more than a sports romance, it's also more than a love story at heart.

Miranda thought that she would be able to prove herself to her father and he would extend more duty to her where the team was concerned, so she worked hard when she could, but he rejected idea after idea and refused to allow her greater access to certain aspects of team ownership. Now the team is struggling, and the League is sending someone in and Miranda has one final chance to prove herself.

A quick read with team players appearing from the first book. It is a stand alone read but reading from start of book one in the series only gives you the inside information of how they all help the team.

This book is full of baseball management strategy. Often times in sports romance there is very little actual sports, which I find insulting. I've read a few of Megan Ryder's books and I'm so happy to find plenty of intelligent sport filling the pages.

Miranda and Lucas were engaging characters from the first page. I loved their sparing and loving. I loved being annoyed with Miranda's father Seamus and his old guard way of trying to run the club. I enjoy reading many books in one universe so char
