This is a short mpreg book with a lion shifter and an omega human. I don't read enough of these types of books to to really get the whole alpha/omega lion/human bond, where omegas go into heat with self lubricating assholes and knotting. (?) But I liked the damsel-in-distress aspect here and suspended disbelief enough to enjoy it. A few hot sex scenes and the price was right.

Recommended as a short book for mpreg fans.

Spoiler Ahead This was book 2 in the "Omega Boys" series. Dallas Holland who Cody and Simon saved in book 1 has been single and living with his mother recovering from the abuse he severed at the hands of his ex alpha. Lion shifter Gabriel Walker has devoted his life to helping Omega's while at a bar he witnesses Leo being used and abused by his alpha he steps in and help the young abused Leo. Gabe takes Leo to see Simon and Cody where he meets Dallas. This was a really good book and I loved Madd ...more

Some angst

Another hot and single Alpha, Gabriel, finds an Omega in need. Leo isn't anything to Gabriel but he helps him anyways which lands him iin the same town as Dallas. Dallas instantly attracts Gabriel and he doesn't know what to do. I like how Dallas opens up and begins to heal after having such a rough relationship before. Gabriel doesn't see himself as a hero but he really is even if he does it because of past pain. They have a bit of angst which got a little tiring but I also understood

Too predictable

I knew what was going to happen, when it would happen, and how it would. I didn't much like that. It was; however, sweet. I do like sweet.
Vast improvement from the first book in the series. Still a little hiccups here and there but nothing major.

Nice continuation from book 1.

Dallas is finally back with his Mom, thanks to Simon and Cody. Dallas is sexy, shy and just wants to be friends with everyone. His experience in the past has him terrified of Alpha shifters. Gabe saved Leo from a horrific chain of events in a back alley. Gabe is a tattoo covered Alpha, described basically as sex on a stick. Leo is bound to a brutal, abusive Alpha, so he needs to break that bond to go onto a new life. When they hear about the town of Frog Lake and the couple there who ma

Missed the mark

***2.5 Stars***. (Rounded up)

I was so hoping that this book would be just as good if not better than the first book in the series. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. I think that the book was just too short since IMO it felt very rushed.

I was excited to read about Dallas's story, and it started out decently, but then it felt choppy and the chemistry between the two MC's felt off.

I am still wondering what exactly I read. I am going to read the next book in the series, because it'

This story is about Dallas Holland who Cody and Simon saved in book 1. Pretty standard alpha and omega story. It was sweet.

Lion's roar

I enjoyed this one better than the first in the series and am glad I gave it a go. Was heartwarming to see Dallas come out stronger and able to trust an alpha again

Loving these shifter storylines so much it's a great series and I love them. A great HEA with a lot of intrigue

Pacing was off and there was no explanation for why shifters exist alongside humans or why there are alpha/beta/omega presentations in humans

*I voluntarily read this book. All opinion stated are solely my own and no one else's"

Dallas's former bond has left deep emotional scars. A year has past since his bond was broken but he's still haunted by the bitter memories of his past. He's envious of his friends; Simon and Cody - will he ever be lucky enough to find a caring alpha?

My heart broke for Dallas; he's jumpy, nervous and gets frightened easily. I liked Gabe; he was caring yet sweet. These two were so cute tip toeing around each ot

This was very much the story of someone coming back from the trauma of abuse and finding love. I do feel that it's important to read the first book in the series before this one. Dallas was introduced in Winter's Heat, the first book in the series, where he was running from his abusive alpha and then worked with Simon to break his bond. He is still very jumpy with a clear case of PTSD. Enter Gabriel who is a real white knight and you have a natural fits. I have to say that this presents almost l ...more

A quick but sweet story. Set in a world with alphas, betas, and omegas, who can be humans or shifters, this was easy and fun to read. Dallas is a human omega that was badly abused by the first alpha he ever bonded with. Though he loves the idea of a family he can't imagine ever trusting an alpha again and still finds himself flashing back to his past relationship. Gabriel is a lion alpha who helps abused omegas; he finds himself in Dallas's town while helping an omega, Leo, break his relationshi ...more

This was a quick easy novella read. and second book in the series. Dallas is the human omega resuced by Simon and Cody in the first book. Gabriel is a lion shifter and rescuer of omegas in trouble who finds his way to Frog Lake seeking Simon's spell to break the bond of a young abused omega, Leo.

This read much better than the first book, even the few typo's were overlooked! I liked Dallas, healing and coming to terms with his past abuse and Gabriel, on a mission to make amends for a past action,

Omega Boys series will be one to follow! I've not read another that had a Lion shifter, but I loved it. He's such a great loving character in this book too! Dare I say almost domesticated LOL - it was great to see Dallas get his HEA after seeing him hurt in the first book. Keep them coming! Can't wait for the next one

I don't normally like writing book reviews because tastes can be so subjective. But this book was such a breath of fresh air. I loved it! I loved the characters and the plot. I was surprised at how much fun it was and gave me an old fashioned romance feeling. I especially loved how I thought it was going to head in a cliche too stupid to live big misunderstanding trope and it didn't. It just did not disappoint me at all. Can't wait to read more from this author. If you enjoy a fun shifter mm rom ...more

Just as good as the first!

I fell in love with the first book Winter's Heat and I was anxiously awaiting book two and wondering how it would be and what couple will be shown. It didn't disappoint. I loved it! Don't want to give away any spoilers but all I'll say is that the sex scenes are GOOD! Very good plot! I love the author's writing. There is a small preview of Ruby Nox next installment in the series by the end of the book called Raven's Baby. Can't wait for that one either!

The only reason that I don't rate these stories a 5 is because they need to be longer. This was another very good addition to the Omega Boys series. You have Gabriel saving the Omega Leo, ironic name, from a very horrible situation. They then head to Frog Lake to see Cody and Simon so that the Leo's bond can be broken. And when Gabriel sees Dallas, the sparks start to fly. This was a very sweet, almost second chance type story. Off to the next.

I really enjoyed this book though not as good as the 1st one. I am glad we could see the story of Dallas, he deserves someone great and that someone is Gabriel. However each character has a dark past that prevents them from connecting with each other. And once I found out about the mistake that Gabriel had done, I actually had to pause the book because I found Gabriel guilty. This is a first for me, I had to remind myself of the goods things that Gabriel has done before I continued and finished ...more

Damaged alpha rescues an abused omega and brings him to a town were a couple can reportedly break the alpha-omega bond. While there he meets another omega, who also was abused. The two are attracted, get together, and that when hell breaks loss. There's an angry bear-shifter, a serious misunderstanding, and finally an HEA.
Leagues better than the first in this series, but totally stands alone. The MCs are much more like able than those in the first book,

Great sequel

There were a few typos in this sequel and a couple of grammatical mistakes. However that didn't detract from this being a good story well written. The story flows smoothly as a sequel. I look forward to reading Book 3.

A Lion's Love!

this book is a love story filled with loots of action from beginning to end.
Very symbolic from the courageous lion to the swan of an omega this book is worth the read.
I liked this book and this series quite a bit but this book was a little sad! the back stories of the main characters were pretty heartbreaking! I'm not going to give it away but it was really touching to see them get their happy ending.
