Self-proclaimed tomboy Leda has certianly grown a lot since she was first introduced to us at the tender age of nine. As she journeys through her later teenage years, she learns that with age comes more responsibility - and more chances of making all the wrong decisions. A lot is changing for Lee and the people around her, and she's not sure she can keep up. When peer pressure starts to take its toll, Lee quickly learns that her expectations and the reality of her world are not seeing eye to eye ...more

It truly fascinates me to be part on Leda’s journey to become a wise teenager I’ve ever known. Why? Because it is an eye opener to tackle about the problems on the society like talking about safe sex and it’s prohibited to discuss that topic especially when you’re from a conservative country, coping up in parent’s separation, abuse, friendship, first-love, and self-discovery. It’s pretty much

I’m so excited and overwhelmed by this book that I can’t really concentrate on one single thing –I love everything. The writing style, the way the author reads it, the book cover, the plot, the sensual subject and how the MC deals with it. Let me just tell that I’m a fan of this author, Gaia B Amman, and her books from the start...from AN ITALIAN ADVENTURE, her first book published and the first book of THE ITALIAN SAGA, so I absolutely like the way this author writes. I think she’s really talen ...more

A Professor of biology and cancer researcher at D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York, her research and commentaries have been published in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals including Nature. Gaia’s other love is writing and her goal is to provide succor for people in the struggles

Really enjoyed this final book. Amman nicely tied up her four book series, which culminated in Leda growing into the kind of young woman I would want my daughter to be. As a character, Lee was always endearing but in the end, she displayed convincing self-confidence and a (gradually found) comfort in her own skin. I think this book was the most fast paced of the four and I was glad I had the chance to read it straight through. Highly recommended, especially to anyone interested in coming of age ...more

“Life goes on, whether you like it or not. I just wished it could lurch forward. Time is the best doctor, they say, and that’s bullshit, because from certain pains you can never heal. They keep screaming inside of you till eventually you get used to the noise and can hear again the life outside, but they are always there, aching, clawing at your soul.” 2 likes
“It was so easy to get excited about someone I didn’t know, so easy to play “crush” from afar, just like with a fictional character. As long as I never talked to Cute Boy, he was going to be perfect, a good reason to wake up tomorrow.” 1 likes
