I read this devotional (including some musical songs) to my kindergartner, but I've also done it before with the older kids at this age. I like them to be familiar with the old, peaceful hymns and songs, and the devotionals are appropriate for that age group, too. Sometimes, they would just want me to go through it and sing all the songs; other times, we'd do the devotionals as well. It's nice to add in for variety in addition to reading the kids' Bibles and Joy Berry's "Help Me Be Good" series.
