Last month I read Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky and complitely fell in love with it.
In that book (first in this series), Holly Martin described perfectly a little town called Christmas, filled my heart with happines and woke up my Christmas Spirit.
When you finish a book that good, it is unusual thing that you except for it's sequel to be highly enjoyable as well.

Unfortunately, what I expected did not happen.
Christmas Under a Starlit Sky was a solid sequel, but nothing m

When Neve Whitaker ended her relationship with Hollywood star Oakley Rey she really never thought that she would see him again as she felt she didn't belong in his world. But after heading to Juniper Island in Scotland to be with her family and taking a job as the manager of the Stardust Lake hotel Neve finds herself with a secret that she doesn't know whether she should keep or not.

After a couple of months apart and time to think Oakley decides that Neve is his life and as much as he loves his
Having already read the first book in this series, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, I couldn’t wait to return to the fantastic island community she’s created and I wasn’t disappointed. This novel continues on from the first, so I really recommend reading them in the correct order. It was brilliant to catch up with everyone on Juniper Island again - and don’t assume the story is only about Neve and Oakley! On the island this time Cupid has been working overtime, though nothing is ever completely ...more

This follows immediately on from the first in the series, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, as that finished with Oakley arriving who is Neve's ex. A Hollywood superstar no less! She is shocked to see him back on Juniper Island as they split 9 weeks ago - he saw it as a split, he saw it as taking a break! So he's back to win her back again and carry on with their relationship as thought nothing has happened - easier sai

I confessed in my review of the first book in this series, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky that I’m a Christmas junkie and I couldn’t wait to revisit this lovely and enchanting town again! I may have even liked this one a bit better than the first though they’re equally charming and romantic, this book just has a bit more drama and secrecy than the first.

This book picks up right where the first one left off, Neve is shocked by the sudden, unannounced appearance

I loved this enchanting Christmas romance! I was immediately drawn into the book.

The main couple is Oakley, Hollywood superstar, and Neve, manager of the new Hotel on Juniper Island. Apparently it starts where book 1 left off, which is with Oakley arriving to try and patch things up with Neve after being split for a couple of months. Fireworks, dramatics, and a roller coaster of emotions are in store for the reader as we follow these 2 over the holiday. Another couple talked about is Ivy and Ada

This series is continued in a wonderful way. A quite enjoyable, swoony read perfect for the Christmas season. Mrs. Martin's ability to capture the Christmas atmosphere and incorporate it into her books is one of a kind, and she does it in an interesting way: through a playful style, amazing characters and a picture perfect setting.
I am just now discovering Holly Martin's works and I have to say, I am excited to see what else she has i

The 2nd, and final, book in the series tied up all the loose ends nicely but I felt like Adam and Ivy and definitely Luke and Audrey could have had their own stories so I've knocked a star off for denying me that! Overall this was a very romantic and uplifting read, full of the magic of Christmas and further proof for me that Holly Martin does tell a good story!

Originally reviewed on Becca's Books.

In Holly Martin's Christmas Under a Starlit Sky, we're introduced to the wonderful Neve Whitaker who we originally meet in the first story set on Juniper Island. She's manager of the Stardust Lake Hotel and adores her job. She works alongside her family, overseeing the running of the establishment with huge amounts of passion. This job, too, keeps Neve busy and ensures she doesn't focus too much on her broken heart. Rather than keeping her readers hanging, Ma

What a wonderful second book in the Town Called Christmas series, it has just the right mix of full on Christmas feeling, lots of drama, many ups and downs, has made me cry and above all has fabulous conclusion too, wrapping up many storylines from both this and the first book.

I had been looking forward to starting Christmas Under a Starlit Sky, pretty much seconds after finishing Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, as I really didn't want to stop reading about the picturesque Juniper Island, the

I felt a little frustrated with this book and just begged for it to get to the point I felt there were too many secrets that could have been explained sooner I wasn't an Oakley fan I'm afraid, it certainly won't stop me from reading other books by holly I've enjoyed all the others

I really struggled with how to rate this one. I was wavering between 2 and 3 stars. Normally I absolutely love Holly Martin's romances. They are fun, fluffy, holiday reads...this one didn't have that same feel for me. There was just SO. MUCH. DRAMA. the entire time. This book is the second of Holly Martin's A Town Called Christmas series, and I think before you read this one you should probably read #1, Christmas Under A Cranberry Sky. The story is about another couple/couples but it has a conti ...more

Christmas Under a Starlit Sky is the second book in Holly Martin’s Town Called Christmas series. Like the first book, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, it has all the festive charm that Holly is so good at evoking. It would work perfectly as a stand alone novel, however, I would definitely urge you to the read the first book as it is gorgeous.

The story picks up where the last finished with Neve’s ex-partner, Oakley, landing in Juniper Island in his helicopter and this book concentrates on the cou

This is the second book in the ‘A Town Called Christmas’ series. The book continues directly on from where book one, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, ended.

This time the book focuses on Neve (The sister of the main character from book one), and her ex-boyfriend actor, Oakley, although the book does have a romantic secondary plot running alongside between Adam, the temporary hotel manager, and villager, Ivy.

When Oakley flies to Juniper Island to spend time with Neve, even-though they have split u

This was another beautifully crafted Christmas book set on Juniper Island where it can be Christmas every day. I had this book at the same time as Christmas under a Cranberry Sky and it's a book I've been savouring, almost sad to pick it up as the anticipation was so high. I really didn't want to come to the end and have to leave the island! But the wait made the book even more enjoyable- I do love Holly's creations. I could live in her Christmassy books.

I absolutely loved "Christmas under a Cranberry Sky" and I had high hopes I would equally like the second part in this series. Well, I did like it but I wasn't over the moon as much as I have been with the first book.

It was great to return to Juniper Island and the little village called Christmas. There isn't only one couple in the centre of this book, but two. I really liked Neve as well as Oakley. They made a great couple and there were such sweet moments between them. I didn't like all the li

I LOVED this book! It was so great to return to Scotland and the Stardust Lake Hotel. It's the second book in a series but easily read standalone. The writing is fantastic and I just loved these characters. In this one we get not just one wonderful romance but two. Neve is working hard managing the hotel and trying not to think about everything she gave up. Leaving Oakley behind and coming to live and work at the hotel was the right decision. Wasn't it?? Oakley sure doesn't think so and he shows ...more
I received a free ebook copy of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in return for an honest review. I enjoyed this story. It moved at a quick pace with developed characters and a decent storyline. I felt that there was one main story with a few parallel stories happening too. It wasn't as lighthearted as I would have thought a Christmas story would be. A lot of the characters had some heavy issues. The pace seemed a little rushed; but, it didn't detract from the story too much. I thi ...more

What isn't there to love about Holly Martins books!
Christmas under a Starlit Sky was incredibly enjoyable and easy to devour!
The characters were loveable and the love stories that unfolded didn't stop short of pulling at your heart strings.

So guys, it is official now, not only is Holly Martin the real Queen of Christmas stories, but Juniper Island stays my absolutely favourite fictional setting! This picturesque island has just got under my skin and even though I am much more this person who’d rather spend her days enjoying the warmth of the sun, I’d make exception for Juniper – please, take me there any time! And the more snow, the better! The story picks up right where “Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky” ended, introducing us to a

Neve loves working with her family and the Stardust Lake Hotel is a beautiful place to live. She likes the challenge of being the manager and she has her best friend Adam by her side to help her. Neve is heartbroken though because she misses Oakley. He's a famous actor and Neve thinks there's no place in his life for her, that is why she let him go. There's something she didn't tell him, because knowing her secret might change his entire outlook on life. Oakley misses Neve and wants to be togeth

Christmas Under A Starlit Sky is Holly Martin’s second novel set on the FANTASTIC island of Christmas, where I want to go and live immediately. It picks up right where Christmas Under A Cranberry Sky ends, with Oakley Rey finally making his appearance, and this story is all about Oakley and Neve. Unfortunately for me, it’s vastly different to the first book where, in the first book, truth was the watchword. Everyone was honest, there was no pandering, no lies, no frustrating break ups for break ...more

In Holly Martin's second novel of the A Town Called Christmas series, Neve's broken heart would be mended and we would finally meet her movie star boyfriend Oakley. I immediately found Oakley swoony, and settled in to enjoy the novel. It was interesting reading as I wasn't expecting so many mishaps in the romance, but I found the story engaging and I loved the side romance between Adam and Ivy. So this book was pretty darn good in my books!

Talk about heartbreaking! Four sweet and lovely characters who have all been put through the wringer in the love stakes finally find what they've been searching for in this beautifully told story.

Neve's stubbornness to go after what she wanted and her habit of always putting herself last was frustrating at times but also completely selfless and beautiful. Oh my, how I loved Oakley (who wouldn't?)!!! He was gorgeous inside and out. My heart hurt for him and all that he goes through in this story

I enjoyed reading the first book in this series and couldn't wait to read Neve and Oakley's story. This starts immediately after the end of the first book so it should be read first in order to understand the story.

Neve has a secret and she really needs to share it with Oakley. But fear of ruining things for him is holding her back, his best interests at the heart of her decision however misguided that may be. Circumstances conspire against Neve and she finds herself having to change her plans i

This is the sequel that follows on directly from Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, although you can read it as a seperate book on its own ihighly recommend reading the first book as it is excellent. Seeing as the first book was fantastic it had high expectations to live up to and it didn't disappoint, I think in some ways I even preferred this book, mostly due to the characters evolving and the new characters that I really warmed to.

I enjoyed this new Christmas series. The family is preparing for another great winter season at their family resort in a town called Christmas in Scotland. This story belongs to Neve, the sister who is managing the Stardust Lake hotel while she is pining away for Oakley Rae, the man she loves with all her heart but sent away because she didn't think she was good enough and would hold in back as his star rose in the California acting community. He decides they need each other and returns to claim ...more

I really enjoyed this book but found it distracting with all the different love stories. The main story focuses on Neve's and the boy she broke up with in Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky. Other stories are between Gabe and Neve's brother Luke and his longtime friend as well as the other manager of the hotel.
This book was incredibly well-written but I was really looking forward to reading Luke's story in another novel. I found it difficult to tell who the narrators were in each scene but I loved
