Two men. Two choices. One answer to both: Definitely Yes.
**Definitely is a 3 book series featuring Scarlett from the Maybe series. Each book is full length and will end on a cliffhanger. Each book in the series will release one month after the previous book.
**You do not have to read the Maybe series to understand the Definitely series but it will contain some small spoilers from Maybe series. So if you plan on reading the Maybe series read it first before the Definitely series.
Ella Miles writes sexy romance with strong females that could kick your butt if you piss them off, which they often do to the men that fall for them. She's currently living her own fairy tale near the Rocky Mountains with her high school sweetheart husband. Her heart is also taken by her goofy two year old black lab that is scared of everything, including her own shadow. Ella is the author of the Aligned series. When I heard that this series is about Scarlett, I was so excited, because i totally admire this girl from the previous series.
This book is definitely about Scarlett, I get to know who she really is, her past, her dreams and what she wants for her future. Also her dilemma to choose between what she needs and what she wants, between safe or dangerous. This book is also full of mystery, love how the author kept me in the dark about Beast 'till the end and surprise me with that twist, definitely didn't see that coming.
I got so angry with Beast for his hot and cold, I hate Jake because well because he's Jake (you'll hate this guy when you read this book), and I wanted to slap Scarlett for all her "Yes", she's frustrating me when she said yes for all the wrong reasons. There's a teary moment too in this book. Yup this book is packed with emotions, although there's repetition but with that twist, I really like this book.
If you love romance with mystery in it, you have to give this book a try.
Scarlett And Beast Have Incredible Chemistry And Tantalizing Escapades! Ends In An Emotional, Tearful Cliffhanger. Fans of the Maybe Trilogy Will Love It.
This is the first book in the Definitely trilogy, which is the second part of the six part Maybe, Definitely series. It isn’t necessary but it is strongly recommended that readers begin with the Maybe trilogy, as the characters featured in the Definitely trilogy are first introduced there. The backstories provide greater depth and the mystery in this first book draws upon knowledge of the first trilogy.
From the Maybe trilogy:
The Maybe trilogy is Kinsley and Killian’s story. Kinsley Elizabeth Felton, twenty-one, returned home to Las Vegas for her father’s funeral at the tail end of her senior year at Yale. Her father and grandfather owned a successful family business that included several casinos. She had known for years what was expected of her. She was to eventually marry a man of her father’s choosing that would one day take over the family business.
Killian Byrne, thirty, was VP of Operations at Felton Corporation and being considered for the CEO position. With a business degree from Harvard and some law school under his belt, he was recruited to Felton Corporation five years earlier. He formed a deep bond with Kinsley's father, Robert. Three years ago, he was informed about a plan for him to marry Kinsley and become CEO. Because of her age, he did not approach Kinsley.
The plan got turned upside down when Kinsley's father died of a heart attack suddenly, and Kinsley learned that the timetable had shifted and a marriage would take place in six months. She had always done as told, but said she can't do this. Even if his considerable appeal did tempt her to agree, Killian didn't want to marry her unless forced to for the CEO position. Killian and Kinsley are attracted to one another, but there are many lies and expectations that hinder their ability to form an honest and true bond. In their final book, the ugly truths are all exposed. Kinsley works to right the wrongs of her family by taking down a tracking ring, and Killian works to save her. In the Definitely trilogy:
In this trilogy Scarlett, Kinsley’s best friend, gets her own story. It takes place ten years after the conclusion of Kinsley’s story. Both women continue living in New York, where they had gone to school and had modelling careers.
In Definitely Yes:
Scarlett Bell, thirty-two, needs excitement in her life. She is a committed workaholic, so in her few off hours she goes to bars and hopes to find a bad boy for a few hours of fun. She has had a steady dose of one night stands since breaking up with her college boyfriend Jake. Her modelling career is winding down now, but she can hardly keep up with Beautifully Bell Enterprises, her fashion and beauty company. When she gets a text from Anonymous one evening, asking her to meet him at his room at the Waldorf for the best night of her life, she struggles with herself. Drawn to the excitement of an anonymous hookup but cognizant of the inherent danger, she takes pause until she catches a glimpse of a handsome stranger in the shadows as he exits the bar and catches her eye.
He calls her Beauty, and she calls him Beast. They have a passionate liaison that takes place entirely in the dark. Afterward, they part ways with the intention of never seeing one another again. But Scarlett has a hard time getting the man of her dreams out of her mind.
Beast knows everything about Scarlett. He shouldn’t pursue her, but he cannot help himself. He shares her thrill for excitement. He tells himself it will be just one night, but he cannot walk away and soon thoughts of her consume him. He knows he isn’t good enough for her, and if she discovers his identity she will have nothing to do with him. As she becomes the only woman he can think of, his work begins to suffer. Getting stuck on her is dangerous, though, because she could get in the way of an upcoming assignment. Beast isn’t free to quit his job. He destroys people for a living and is very good at what he does. He always gets the job done.
Scarlett and Beast live their separate lives, each on an independent but converging path. Scarlett dreams that she, Beast, Kinsley, Jake, and Preston are connected through a darkness, yet she cannot fit the pieces of the puzzle together. She comes to terms with her age and recognizes that time won’t be on her side forever if she wants to fulfill all her dreams of a family as well as a career. Jake reappears in her life, causing her to dig deep. He could fulfill all her dreams, but she had broken up with him for a reason. Beast makes her feel alive, but he says they have no future. Beast walks the dark path, regardless of how he feels about it. Scarlett is a distraction that might cost him his life. The book ends in an emotional, tearful cliffhanger!
Beast and Scarlett have incredible chemistry and tantalizing escapades! The suspense is fantastic as Beast’s identity remains uncertain. Questions remain at the end, but a few answers are given. Readers should keep in mind that Beast and Scarlett are explicitly not in a relationship here, so they each explore the possibility of other dalliances. Kinsley plays an important role in this story, and the danger she faced ten years ago still impacts Scarlett.
Beast and Scarlett’s trilogy opens with a thrilling story of suspense and steam as danger lingers in the background. The story is well-written and plot-driven. There are unexpected twists and turns as well as unanswered questions and deceit. The characters are nicely developed, though much about Beast is purposely withheld for obvious reasons. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Beast and Scarlett. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
Scarlett is a strong and independent woman who has created a successful business in her field of expertise, fashion however the one thing she is missing in her life is a man who challenges her. She still has feelings for ex-boyfriend Jake however it is a sexy stranger that fulfills her in a way she never expected that keeps drawing her back.
“Beast” is her sexy stranger however she is not a stranger to him, and their lives are tied together in a way that can only cause devastation. For both their sakes he knows that he should keep his distance however that is much easier said than done.
The chemistry between them is off the charts but there are so many unanswered questions about Beast and his true identity is revealed in a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more of this intriguing couple. I listened to an audio copy of the book and thought that the narrators did a great job with both the heat and intrigue of the story.
Definitely Yes by Ella Miles is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Lacy Laurel and Connor Crais. This is the first book in the Definitely series, but is also the forth book in the Maybe, Definitely Series.
I absolutely love this series! Ella does an amazing job on the storyline. She always pulls me in from the very beginning. I absolutely loved Scarlett and Beast. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series Definitely No to get more of Scarlett and Beast’s story.
Lacy and Connor did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
OMG! Definitely Yes is fantastic!! I love that we get Scarlett's story and that it happens 10 years after Kinsley's story. This book starts off with a bang - super hot and steamy! I love the mystery of "beast". I don't want to say too much as I don't want to give anything away but it ends in a cliffhanger so make sure you have Definitely No on hand because you won't want to wait!
She has tried to put her past behind her and now she may have to choose between two men. One is an ex and the other is a stranger. Each one will offer her something different but who will she choose? See who she will
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am so, so happy that I am reading this after all three books have been published. I'd be hanging on a cliff if not. As it is, my Kindle let me down because when I was half-way through this book I knew I'd want to go right to the next book and got it through Kindle Unlimited. I have two Kindles, because I'm an book addict (I admit it!) but forgot to download the second book the the Kindle I carry in my purse. I finished book one on my lunch hour, went to my books to start book two and it's not there! This is my version of torture. No wifi at work to correct my mistake so I just have to suffer until I can get home.
You really must read the Maybe series first to understand this one. That is also a cliffhanger three book series. I reviewed those books separately if you're interested. In this book, we pick up with Scarlet, Kinsley's best friend. Scarlet is single and successful. She has two men to choose from. One is Jake, a nice guy from her past, and the other is Beast, a bad boy she thinks she recently met. She's decided she's ready to settle down and have children and can't decide between the two men since neither is everything she needs. To make things more complicated, she doesn't know who Beast is because she hasn't seen his face and he won't tell her his name. The reader also doesn't know who Beast is although the story is told from the alternating view point of Scarlet and Beast.
The sex is steamy and the story is intriguing. This is not vanilla sex. As with the last series, this book ends with a cliffhanger. You might as well get all three or the set so you're not left hanging.
I didn't know what to expect when I started this book. I literally went in sight unseen without even reading a blurb. That's how I roll when it's Ella Miles... It doesn't matter what it is, I'm reading it. Her writing sucks you in and keeps you on your toes and on the edge of your seat. If you haven't read the Maybe series, I would STRONGLY suggest reading that series first, as there is quite a bit of backstory (and also because it's amazing). That series revolves around Kinsley and Killian and I was thrilled to see more of them in this book. Scarlett and Kinsley are lifelong best friends. I was so excited that Scarlett was getting her own series and of course it doesn't disappoint. She is a strong woman and I love her baddassery. She finds herself trying to decide if either of the two men in her life can give her everything she's dreaming of. There's always been only one choice for me and of course that's Beast. He is this perfect stranger- sexy and strong and oh, so right. But will he be everything she needs? I'm guessing definitely yes. If you know Ella Miles, you know you won't be finding out quite yet... And I can't wait for more!
*I was thrilled to be a beta reader for this series :)
Terrific Story & Narration🎧 The Greatness continues in this Captivating Spinoff!
Definitely Yes (Maybe, Definitely) Maybe, Definitely, Book 4 By: Ella Miles Narrated by: Lacy Laurel, Connor Crais
I loved the “Maybe” series, Kinsley and Kane’s story, and was happy to hear that Ella Miles is continuing the series with Scarlett Bell’s story, Kinsley’s closest friend. This book is set in the same world and takes place 10 years later, Scarlett no longer models but she has built a successful fashion and beauty empire. It is great to see that Kinsley and Kane’s relationship is still going strong. Scarlett is happy and has just about everything she wants in life but after seeing how happy Kinsley is she is finds herself wanting more, she wants what Kinsley has. One night she is out looking for a good time, no prospects in sight but she receives a text from an unknown number, the message is a proposition and she takes it and a wild night with a hot man, thinking it may even be her ex, Jake. But she continues to receive provocative messages and she is wanting more from this guy. When Jake comes back in her life she thinks he is what she needs, a former love and safe bet but is he really the guy for her? Beast has it bad for Scarlett, he wants her but knows once she finds out who he really is and what he does she will think he is a monster and hate him. I loved the smoking hot chemistry between the two of them. He is so obsessed and drawn to her, she demands he tell her who he is and by the end he can not help himself and he is revealed in the worst way. Ella Miles managed to blow my mind once again, she kept us guessing the entire time who this guy was and what he did. I love how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, angst, a bit of mystery with a touch of suspense, some heartfelt moments, heartbreaking ones and some hot romance. Thank you for another fantastic story, I am looking forward to what comes next for Scarlett, the beauty, and the beast.
I listened to the audiobook edition, Lacy Laurel and Connor Crais are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. Lacy Laurel was perfectly cast as Scarlett, she captured her true persona, Connor Crais’ Beast was awesome too. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen🎧
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. Writing is clunky, with lack of contractions or normal conversational dialogue.
Couldn’t stand the main character and couldn’t relate. She’s ridiculously self absorbed (other than her one friend) then makes the stupidest decisions and wonders why things fall apart.
I didn’t get either of her main men either. I couldn’t get over her telling this guy she’s gonna marry him (despite him supposedly having a fiancée), he just doesn’t know it yet, and then the next day when he proposes and she agrees she’s all “I made a mistake”.
Having not read a single other book by this author, I only have one dimension to read who this “beast” guy is and I don’t get it, despite the two paragraphs of backstory once his identity is revealed. But yeah the way that relationship started she’s stupid and really risked rape or murder.
For such a “strong independent woman” she makes weak, shortsighted, impulsive decisions. She treats no one with any real empathy (yeah Preston can get time off, how nice, but he’s going to have to make up for the work you told him to drop- it didn’t just go away bc you said go home), other than her bestie.
At the end, none of these characters did anything for me. I didn’t get anything from the sex scenes because there was no connection or even eroticism. The plot felt forced- the same way MC lady was forcing her newfound desire to establish a family without any real foresight or investment: it will happen now bc I say it must! and I will only use these two men I know to make it happen! One was great at sex and the other is stable and good with kids! I could tell the guy who’s stable what I want in sex but I won’t and will then be disappointed by his not knowing what I want! He should just know!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I read all of the Maybe series and am so happy to see Scarlett get her own as well. She's a great character to have her own story. I want her to get her happy ever after because she deserves it. She's a workaholic and loves sex. Finding a man to give her what she needs as well as wants is what's been her problem. Looking for men at the bars and having one night stands are not satisfying her anymore. When she receives a text message from an unknown number her world changes. She says yes to his offer and now there's no turning back. She cannot get him out of her mind like he said would happen.
Beast as Scarlett calls him will not allow her to see who he is. He knows that once she recognizes him she'll hate him. But he is being pulled to her and fighting it is draining him. He needs her and knows that it will not happen. He has to see her again and the more he gives in the more he knows he'll end up showing her who he is. When he does she has to decide whether to stay or go with him. Does she?
You will need to read Maybe series to truly understand this book. It starts 10 years after Kinsley's story. A great book and love how it pulls the Maybe characters into it as well.
~So very torn with the Devil and the Angel on her shoulders~
—>>> Having just jumped into this series in this book, the storyline as I understand now shifts to thirty-two-year-old/ex-model Scarlett “Scar” Bell, successful owner of a fashion and beauty company. The last ten years have been all dedicated to business, and with her best friend now married and settled, Scar now feels she is lacking something. But her immediate goal that night was to find someone who could give her a night to remember. And it does, coming in the form of a mysterious text from an even more mysterious man she nicknames “Beast.” Suddenly, Scar is dealing with an ex-boyfriend, Jake, whom she hires to be a financial advisor, though he is pushing for much more than that. Now, Scar is so very torn between Sexy Beast and Safe Jake.
Beast finds himself compromising much to be with Scar, yet still goes after her, knowing that just once was not going to be enough. Scar is getting mired in what she imagines she could have with Jake, and wants that projected life with him, but realizes she deserves so much more than what he can give her. Very much looking forward to reading what comes next for them both!
This book is the first of its trilogy and it left me feeling dumb founded. I have read the Maybe series as you can get by without reading it but I guaranteed it you do or have read it, reading Scarlette's story will knock you on you a$$. So this book takes place a few years after her best friend Kinsley's story ended. Which is cool because you get an update on them or an introduction to a great couple. The way that Ella creates the story lines for her characters will both frustrate and intrigue you and yet hook you in for the ride of your life. This book is no exception. Scarlett has built her own fashion empire and she is now struggling with work or need to find love, marriage and have babies. She gets herself two men who are polar opposite of each other but each offer Scarlette what she needs and wants together. This book is only the beginning of Scarlette's journey and it is one heck of a ride! I cannot wait to see what happens next. Does Scarlette run back to safety with Jake and how does she react when she finds out who Beast really is?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this spinoff of the Maybe series. It features Kinsley's best friend, Scarlett, and is set almost 10 years after Maybe took place. Scarlett owns and runs a fashion empire and is happy with her life except for that little thing called a biological clock. It's started to tick and she's looking for love, marriage and a family. She gets a sexy text from an unknown number and she embarks on a steamy, mysterious "relationship" with a man whose face she never sees. It's sexy and intriguing and Scarlett's having the best sex of her life, but it's not exactly fulfilling her wish for the family life she wants. Then her old boyfriend Jake walks into Scarlett's life and her life gets even more complicated.
Ella Miles is a master of weaving romance and sex with suspense and intrigue, and she's upped the ante even more with Definitely Yes. Scarlett and Beast are so sexy together and the question of who he is and whether Scarlett will ever get what she's looking for will keep you wondering until the very last scene. Can't wait for more!
Beauty and the beast is by far one of my Most favorite stories, so I love having the chance to read retellings. I’m stingy with my stars. I give really good books 4 stars so don’t judge my 3 stars (which would be more like 3.5 but not close enough to 4 to give it that) as saying this isn’t good. But for me... it’s just....good not great. I listened to the audiobook of this and didn’t actually read. That being said...in general, I hate audiobooks. I am really trying to get on board with them though and wanted to give this a try. The narrators voices really irritated me. Maybe they would be ok at something else but it just sounded like really bad acting and the woman’s voice was too breathy. (Sorry but I’m very picky). However, I muddled through it fine enough. I probably would have liked the story more if I had read it on my own though. I actually want to see what happens in book 2.
This book started out HOT! And we can’t expect any less from Scar. And wow how she has grown up, but then again, she’s showing sides of immaturity that made me want to slam my phone. She is very indecisive and a little immature at times with what she wants. I don’t think she really knows what she wants, she’s all over the place, but then there are parts that I’m like “OK GIRL! That’s what I’m TALKING ABOUT!”
Her conversations with BEAST?! How he even got his name? OMG! I had a feeling I knew who it was, but there was so much mystery I couldn’t put my finger on it, as the story started to unfold. Beast is literally my fave alpha male so far. He’s just HOT! My goodness, I still fan myself thinking of the things they have done together lol.
The love triangle trope was awesome. The cliff hanger got me really excited!!! I HAVE to start book 2 asap!
Well, I must say I liked this series more than the Maybe series & the characters, I loved Scarlett than Kinsley. Both the characters are opposite of each other, but at the same time, both the characters are lovely. The complete series was well written & the lead i.e., the heroine's characters is strong, I liked that. The hero on the other hand ooh la la...
This series has Author's taste in the whole story, suspense, love, mystery, erotic chemistry, everything Ella's readers need from her. Every part, every scene of the story is brilliantly written & the plot, the pace of the story was absolutely amazing.
The series is absolutely beautiful and I would like to recommend this series to every romance book lover with a mystery & suspense in it.
OH YES!!! PUNISHING! DEMANDING! & THRILLING! An intoxicating storyline that demands every bit of your attention as it shocks, delights and appales you pushing you to the edge of your seat clinging with anticipation and fear as the head reeling twists send the story spinning out of control infusing you with bursts of adrenaline and excitement that takes hold of you igniting a fire in the pit of your belly to get to the end with a desperate need for a shift in the drama to release the hold it continues to put you through! An incredibly addictive must read that continues to get better from one read to the next giving you all the feels and so much more than you could have hoped for in this amazing cliffhanger! I LOVED IT!

I actually read this part of the complete set. I wasn't really invested in it. The premise is sexy and there were sexy scenes but I don't care if I read the rest of the series.
She has a fiance who is an ex she recently became acquainted with. They end up being engaged because she feels like she needs a hubby because she's in her late twenties. I really can't remember but her motivation for wanting to marry this dude reminded me of a Hallmark movie. Since she didn't seem to like him and she didn't even have sex with her fiance yet, it made the forbidden nature of her affair with the H less forbidden.
I really can't remember much about it. I'm being generous with the 3 stars because I think the sex scenes were hot so that's something I guess.
Know that this book is not a stand alone and you will need to read all 3 to get the full story. And reading the maybe series isn’t a requirement but will help in understanding the characters.
I enjoyed the first series (Maybe) even though I found some instances in it a bit far fetched and too unrealistic. I continued with this series and it just more bizarre and unrealistic as it went. It was got so ridiculous that I struggled to make myself sit down to finished it. Each book got progressively worse.
Some semi spoilers - let’s start with falling in love with a man you have never seen and never had a conversation with - only sex. To the completely crazy way can be in such danger to perfectly fine and safe in an instance. To sure you can be a murdering drug lord human trafficker but then suddenly the fbi hires you and you can live a normal life? And the sister who was on the run is magically a real estate agent?!? So much that didn’t make sense.
Would you recommend: No Would you read more by this author: probably not
Holy hellfire. I don’t even know where to begin with this book. I thought the Maybe series took us to some dark and twisted places, but this story doubles those twists back on themselves to keep us guessing as to what’s really going on. And possibly the most frustrating thing for me is that I can’t even explain the emotional turmoil Scarlett’s story has put me through without giving away potential spoilers for the most dramatic parts of the story. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Once again, the author has produced another stunning novel to read. Please do your best to read these books in order, it really shall enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the entire series. At this point I feel I have invested so much in to the characters lives that I have to finish the series, or I’ll never sleep again! There’s lots of drama, intrigue and mystery that I didn’t want it to end, I wanted to continue immediately with the next book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Scarlett and Beast I downloaded the second book first from this series and was thrilled I found this one on Booksprout too. I read the Maybe series and enjoyed it so much and now I get another fix of Ella Miles Wahoo!! This is Scarlett’s and Beast story. It was so different from a text message the affair begins. Will she hate him? This is a cliffhanger with wonderful steam and I cannot wait to read the next book. Maybe was good and this series appears to be as good if not better! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This book and series is a spinoff of the Maybe series by this author. I would definitely suggest reading the Maybe series first and reading all the books in order. This one involves Scarlett, Kinsley's friend from the Maybe series. I enjoyed that one, but, so far, I am liking this series a little more. The storyline pulled me in and had me intrigued. Scarlett and Beast were smokin' hot together. I can't wait to see what happens next! *I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is my honest review.*
Definitely Yes. This book was interesting. I was glued to this book because it was exciting and romantic. I enjoyed the suspense. Scarlett gets herself stuck between two men that she just have to have. But only one she finds can satisfy her desires, but at what cost? This series is great and will keep you guessing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
Scarlett has spent the past decade building her career and sharing her bed with a variety of men. One night she meets dark and dangerous beast who captures her heart. It was only for one night but neither of them can stop thinking about each other. The beast awakens feelings in Scarlett and she wants more from him. The Beast knows if she finds out who he is, she will want nothing to do with him. Will Scarlett find out who the Beast is and will she risk everything she knows to be with him? Read the first installment of the Definitely series.
To be frank, I read this book so that I can get to read about Kinsley & Killian . Also, I could make out when I read the Last book of May Be series that who Scarlet is gonna be pairing with. I know this book is about Scarlet but I didn't feel much for her story. I think I am among minority..I really felt bad what happens to Kinsley in this book..Poor Kinsley & Killian shouldn't be struggling for such happiness, which makes me sad.....
