Cloak of Snow by Christine Rains

“Cloak of Snow” follows Saskia to the northern tundra of Alaska in search for the fox totem token. Time-wise this novella takes place at the same time as book two, “Silent Whispers.” Saskia is the oldest of the Dorn sisters and the most hard-headed. She almost makes the youngest sister, Ametta, seem meek by comparison.

This story moves at a good pace. The characters are well defined and we get some insight into Saskia and Sedge’s past relationship which started whe

What Saskia Dorn, a polar bear shifter, discovers in the tundra of Alaska might be more than she bargained for in Christine Rains' Cloak of Snow. The third Totem book raises the stakes. Saskia is a determined and head-strong woman, and her relationship with Sedge is explosive as the two buttheads at every turn. Yet together they will have to destroy the Jinxioc, which are not your average garden gnomes, but fierce little people with sharp teeth and a vicious appetite. As soon as a boy was taken ...more

Cloak of Snow is the third book in the Totem series by Christine Rains. The protagonist, Saskia, is a tough polar bear shape shifter living in Alaska. She's on a quest to find a missing totem, without which shape shifters have a bleak future. In this book, she has to fight the evil flesh-eating gnomes called Jinxioc, who are terrorizing a small village. She also has to deal with feelings she has when she encounters her old flame, Sedge.

The writing is excellent and fast-paced. The characters are

The start of this wonderful series had me up really late reading. The characters are so interesting and I really enjoyed the sister's dynamic, their differences, and how they've all struggled with their family's history, their sense of self, and then the challenge's placed before them now. Each book was a great adventure, and they way they all wove together was expertly done. Plus, it's adorable to see the three sisters handle relationships and their regular lives on top of the dark and terrifyi ...more

The haunt for the totem tokens to restore balance among the shifters continues across the Alaskan frontier. Fast-paced action and fiery chemistry between the sexy Sedge and the toughest of the Dorn sisters makes this an excellent read.

Cloak of Snow is an incredibly powerful and satisfying book. There’s the hero, Sedge. Okay, he’s mysterious, mood, and oh my, I adore him. Dorn sister, Saskia has her hands full – dealing with these evil gnomes who have a craving for human flesh, hunting down a totem to save all shape shifters, and then working with the bear shifter who broke her heart – Sedge. Aside from the immediate danger of protecting a village from the deadly little creatures, Saskia and Sedge just can’t seem to see eye to ...more

In the third installment of the Christine Rains' Totem series, Cloak of Snow, the search continues for the missing totem pieces with the third Dorn sister, Saskia.

Saskia, a polar bear shifter with a fear of commitment is on the quest for the fox totem when she runs into her old flame, Sedge, the latest reincarnation of the old Inuit Bear God. Together they face the Jinxioc, evil flesh-eating gnomes.

The fight scenes are violent and bloody, and both Saskia and Sedge suffer horrible wounds in thei

This is the third book in my urban fantasy series, Totem, and it's a dark one. Sedge and Saskia are powerful heroes, but the Jinxioc are vicious creatures unlike anything they've encountered before. It was so much fun writing this pair, because Saskia doesn't take crap from anyone, and Sedge is the strongest alpha I've ever created.

A fun paranormal adventure!

I love, love, love the unique setting and premise of this series. Alaska, Inuit traditions, and missing totems? Very cool.

Fast-paced and well written, with well developed, kickass characters. Saskia is one tough chick and I love it! Plus, the romance building between her and her love interest is quite steamy.

Fangs for the Fantasy
Saskia and her sisters are desperately trying to find the lost pieces of the totem pole which could have dire consequences for all shapeshifters if it is not found.

So when she and Sedge, the Reincarnation of the Great Bear Spirit come across a native village under attack due to the totem’s magic. They have to fight to protect them – but
