The cover makes this appear to be a bloody read
Yes, there's blood. But more in a thriller kind of way and not so visceral. This story follows an agent looking for his lost brother, who is presumed as dead. The investigation leads him to a team of organ harvesters. It was interesting as to how careful this team was, until things started falling apart. Despite working together for years, team members turn on each other, each planning to kill each other after the next big score, a rare blood type.

Sonya is a nurse who uses her skills in a way that makes her lethal. She is part of a harvest team. However, they don't just harvest organs, they harvest skin, blood, bones, the brain...anything that they can sell on the black market. She has a good reason for doing it but mostly she likes the violence.

David's twin brother has been missing for two years and no one knows what happened to him. No body was found and no one has heard from him. However, David is AN FBI agent determined to find out. A

As I was reading, Nurse Blood, I went to the author's, Rebecca Besser, Facebook page, and told her that she has some of the most fucked up characters I have read in a long time (or something like that)....yeah, she LIKED my comment. Seriously though, the characters Besser has created are really out there. They are messed up in the head and one really can't say they like any of them, yet there is that aspect of loving to hate them. Even though some have a twisted past that may have led them to th ...more

I tried to put this book down as it seemed so real and I was hoping that they would have walked away before their last harvest. Sonya is part of a group that kidnap people and harvest every single part of them. But they took the wrong young man and his brother David is a FBI agent who can't give up looking for answers. He knows that his brother is dead but he can't understand why he was chosen. Sonya always looks for an easy mark and in her mind she is doing a good thing as there are so many peo ...more

This book didn't suck--had a good premise--but didn't work for me. I'm not against having an anti-hero, but I had a hard time liking the "protagonist," Nurse Blood, a woman that picks up men in bars to skin them to the bones. And the book being the first of a series turned me off. Why does there always have to be a sequel? A trilogy, I can forgive, but a series? That's milking an idea, in my opinion. And how the men of the organ-harvesting company were all scared of the female lead didn't seem r ...more

This is an unexpected journey into a black market that I did not know existed. The story is full of twists and turns. I can not wait to read the next one!

I had the pleasure of reading the first edition of this book back in 2013. I’ve thought about the story ever since because it just grabbed onto my soul and refused to let go. So imagine my surprise when I found out that a new edition of the book was being released by Limitless Publishing. I was so excited to read the new version, see what was different (if anything), and get to connect with the characters again.

I must admit, I did have to go back and read parts of the original story because I co

Nurse Blood, by Besser, is a thrilling read for all of us fans of the horror genre. The story takes you deep into the sick and twisted world of body snatching and black market organ selling. You meet and connect with Sonya, nurse by day, ruthless killer by night. However, Sonya wants more out of her life. So together with her “co-workers” one being the man she loves and the other being a man she admires, she goes after one last body harvest, one last big payout, all for the slim chance of that l ...more

Sonya harvests organs to sell on the black market. Sonya is a nurse. Sonya is "Nurse Blood."

While stalking prey at a sleazy tavern, she stumbles upon a repulsive man with a very rare blood type. This rare blood type is worth big bucks. What's even better is that this man has a wife and children. And they could possibly share this blood type. Might as well harvest the whole family.

Nurse Sonya and her thuggish crew get to work with the FBI hot on their trails. Blood, guts, double crosses and all t

As with all of Ms. Besser's books I have read, I am left wanting more. Fortunately, this time there will be more coming. The characters are well developed and complicated. At times I'd forget Sonya was a ruthless murderer and I would start to like her. Ms. Besser doesn't hold back. There were plenty of characters to keep things moving and super interesting, but not too many that I'd get confused. ...more

This is a fast paced thriller that will keep you turning the pages and losing sleep! Sonya is a nurse, but she's also a psychotic bitch you love to hate! Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
