A workplace bully always looks for their victim’s reaction
Another short and to the point book by Min Liu. For the referenced studies, it would be nice to see references in the pages to view the studies further.
“The goal here is to make yourself a “hard target”, i.e. A target that the workplace bully cannot get a rise out of and is difficult to bully.”
“Don’t get trapped into internalizing all your obligations and resist any urge to say “Yes” when you know that you cannot take on more work.”
“If you are legitimately to blame, don’t become defensive when your boss blames you. When it's your turn to speak, start out by saying "here's what I could have done better."… Sometimes you may be blamed for something you didn't do. Don’t “take one for the team” and accept blame for something you did not do.”
