I expected this book to be a lighthearted, fun read. It is so much more than that. The author draws you in with several astonishing stories with a darker, legend feel. Despite the fact that you're reading short stories, you're immediately transported to the woods, searching for mythical (?) monsters. The only complaint is that I could possibly say is that some of the stories left me wanting more. I would love to see them developed into novellas.

I really enjoyed Everyday Musings. It will take you on a back and forth adventure through the author’s life, not only making you chuckle, but will make you think as well. From seeing big foot, to having a love affair with Jake, to a sex starved bird to burning money and Memere, just to mention a few. Writing short stories is a lost art that Sharon has certainly mastered. I like short story anthologies because in today’s hectic world, it is nice to read a story or two when time permits and put it ...more
