While this book could easily be condensed to half its size, it is still a very useful and practical resource for anyone studying a foreign language. Rather than treat foreign languague study as either being easy or dependent on natural talent, Robyn Matthew breaks it down into practical though not obvious steps which anyone can follow to improve their language skills. As well as hints and tips, the book also provides an essential primer on grammer.

Pretty good. I didn't really learn a whole bunch, but there were a few tips that I have picked up and added to my language-learning toolkit.

Before you or during your bucket list item of learning a foreign language or any language, reading this book will make it easier. It is full of information on how to go about learning, in what order and how to find people to converse with so you can become fluent. It is full of practical advice for doing so while living in another country but even if you can't do that it is still worthwhile.

Quite good; nothing spectacular but does contain a few good ideas for teaching English.
