Read this as a bedtime read aloud for my 5 year-old - 1 chapter per night. She enjoyed it, but as a parent and librarian I'm confused as to the target audience. The vocab seems super high for beginning readers, but the cartoon characters mean that it's really only appropriate for that age range. I'd recommend this as a read aloud only for grades PK-1.
Thanks to the publisher for providing me with a review copy of this title.
I read this with my 8 year old, and she loved it. Cute and funny beginner level chapter book for K-3. Good for reluctant readers. Pictures are fun with bright, happy colors. The story lines stay consistent.
I read the first one with my daughter when she was 7, and she continued on with the series herself. I loved the humor and spirit of the bears, and loved hearing my daughter snickering over them from the couch. A winner!
