I'd read volume 1 of this series and found it a bit confusing, in part because of its large cast. So I wasn't surprised when I found this volume confusing, too - but I did feel silly when I realized, three-quarters of the way through, that this was volume 3 and not 2! That probably accounts for at least SOME of the confusion . . .

Update: I reread this after reading volumes 1 and 2, and it does indeed make more sense. :P

My full review of volumes 2 and 3 is posted at No Flying No Tights.

There are roughly 80 pages per volume. In that meagerly space too many characters and concepts are introduced to allow clarity to the reader. Surprisingly, there is almost no attention given to the pokemon.
