It broke Dr. Bree Donovan's heart to end things with family-orientated surgeon Sean Latham, but marriage and kids are not for her. Only, now Sean is asking her to help care for his newborn nephew while his sister is in hospital, and Bree can't say no.
It's temporary, but as Bree experiences how rewarding family life can be--and gives in to the passion she and Sean have always shared--is it possible for her to believe that this time around they really could have it all?
This is a heart-warming emotional and very beautiful story one I didn't want to put down and yes I needed tissues, MS Gianna never disappoints me with one of her stories I love them and loved this one.
Dr Bree Donovan is a trauma doctor she loves the challenge and the variety of what comes her way via the patients, she is an only child and her parents have pushed and pulled her in many ways growing up she is also a top surfer and competes in lots of competitions but one thing Bree does not want is children and that is the reason that she broke up with her fiancé Sean Latham but she has never stoped loving him and when there is a car accident that involves Sean's pregnant sister who is also Bree's best friend Bree's life is about to be turned upside down.
Surgeon Sean Latham has had the perfect life growing up but when he loses his father he decides that he too wants a family like his own a loving wife kids the picket fence and falling for his sister's best friend Bree at first sight sees him on that path but Bree doesn't want children and they break up but Sean has never been able to move on, so when he desperately needs her help with his nephew Will this brings them back together oh and the sparks fly.
What can I say other that the sensual spark between Bree and Sean lights up the room and with little Will doing his best to pull them together and helping Bree realize how wonderful children can be you are not going to want to put this book down it really ticks all the boxes of what a medical romance is and this one left me smiling big time after crying and sighing. I highly recommend this one don't miss it.
I've always liked reunion romances because the couples bring so much baggage into the new situation. Dr Bree Donovan is a bit of a perfectionist, dedicated to her job and an accomplished surfer in her private life. Her private life used to include the brother of her best friend, Dr Sean Latham. They were very much in love but once Bree realised their goals were not compatible, she kicked him to the kerb. Because he wanted a family and Bree couldn't see that fitting into her plans for her future.
So when Bree and Sean's pregnant sister are in a car accident and the baby comes early, it's kind of a nightmare scenario for Bree. Sean has to care for the baby while his sister recovers and he thinks Bree should help out for his sister's peace of mind. So not only is she thrown into Sean's proximity, there is a baby, with all the needs and disruption that goes with a new born infant.
It's very obvious from the first moment that Sean and Bree are still very much in love and the physical attraction is sparking on all cylinders. The only thing keeping them apart is Bree's stubborn determination that children will not fit into her life.
I really enjoyed the interactions between Sean and Bree. They were a very real couple and it was easy to want to see them reach a happy compromise despite Bree's intransigence. She did annoy me a little which is why I couldn't give this a higher score.
Overall it was a lovely story with a cast of characters you could believe in.
Reunited with His Runaway Bride by Robin Gianna is emotionally moving and captures your interest from page one. This is a well-written book that flows effortlessly. The cast of genuine characters who have their quirks and their faults will leave a sigh of satisfaction in the end. I cannot recommend it enough. Get it, you won’t be disappointed!
Dr. Bree Donovan and Dr. Sean Latham had once been a couple but because of their personal ambitions broke things off and went their separate way. However, an accident brings them together once again and it is not before long that the fire between Bree and Sean spark to life. But can Bree and Sean be together when they both want different things in life?
Very much enjoyed the overall story and this was well written but it has way too much detailed sex for my tastes. I had to skip multiple pages to get back to the story.
Content: Innuendo, mildest of language and detailed sex which I skipped.
The countless raw emotions in REUNITED WITH HIS RUNAWAY BRIDE are very realistic, and how two people try to hide their actual feelings is challenging. There was never a moment where I did not believe the characters were responding in a genuine manner, as their reactions are always spot-on for whatever situation they were facing. Deciding whether an individual is someone with whom you would look forward to being with every day for the rest of your life often comes with some tough choices, and Robin Gianna definitely puts her romantic couple through the wringer more than once as they are subjected to numerous stressful circumstances.
Although her relationship with another doctor had seemed like it would perhaps last forever, Dr. Bree Donovan came to realize several of her important objectives were not shared by Dr. Sean Latham. It has been six months since they parted, and though she would not admit it, he is repeatedly in her thoughts. She just hopes taking a new job far away will help her to get over the past and start looking forward. But an unforeseen incident puts Bree back in the life of Sean before she can escape the area.
When her pregnant best friend who is also Sean’s sister ends up having the baby early because of an accident and will have a long recovery, Bree finds herself taking care of the child along with her ex-fiancé. Being thrust into the lives of the man that she has never forgotten plus his nephew shows how her future might turn out if she is willing to change her long-held views about not having her own kids. What started out as a necessary reconnection could lead to another opportunity for Sean and Bree to be together, but first she will have to acknowledge their bond is still powerful.
While many books keep my feelings engaged from time to time, seldom does a contemporary story grab my thoughts from the very start and not let go until the last scene is read. REUNITED WITH HIS RUNAWAY BRIDE is a rare exception, as I eagerly devoured every word of this exceptionally well-written romance. Sean and Bree are in love yet cannot agree on some crucial issues, so she decides splitting up is best before they commit to each other. Yet Robin Gianna has an unexpected event comes into their lives, one which could possibly change their future plans. Though Bree had come to the conclusion there was no way for her and Sean to ever have a lasting relationship, being forced to spend time with him again for the sake of the lovable newborn often leaves her confused. I really enjoyed watching this goal oriented woman question her next step. Being privy to so many of Sean’s inner feelings had me wanting to give this caring man a big hug. I sighed when these two were happy and experiencing much contentment when together, and I wanted to cry when a situation went unbearably wrong.
There are plenty of moments which I will long remember, and some of the more joyous instances were when Sean and Bree had conversations packed with amusing banter. A few events involving the baby were also exactly as I recalled and certainly humorous, making me smile with fond memories. Several medical crises made the story a perfect read for this Harlequin line, and each episode came across as accurately compelling. Robin Gianna has created extraordinary characters for REUNITED WITH HIS RUNAWAY BRIDE.

"Reunited with His Runaway Bride" by Robin Gianna gripped my attention from the first few pages of the book. I cried a little, laughed a little, and rooted for this couple. Dr. Bree Donovan doesn't want children, and Dr. Sean Latham does. When Sean's pregnant sister and Bree are in a car on their way home from the airport they were involved in a car accident which resulted in the birth of the baby and the Momma fighting for her life. It also brings Sean and Bree together. So much happens and the love is still there between Sean and Bree but she can't fight the feeling of not wanting to be a mother, or can she?
By now most of you know I have become addicted to Robin Gianna and her medical romances... I like her books and her writing style... but this book Reunited With His Runaway Bride, her latest, is such a heartbreakingly emotional read and wonderfully well written I'd go so far as to say it is by far the best Robin Gianna has ever written!
Ms. Gianna hooked me from the first chapter on. I couldn't bear to stop reading because I wanted to know what happened to the secondary characters just as much as I wanted to know what happened to the leads!
It was so emotionally riveting i'd recommend that you have your box of tissues handy cause I guarantee you are gonna need them all, I know I did and that was just reading the first chapter!
Dr. Bree Donovan and Dr. Sean Latham were in love and looking at a bright and happy future until Sean started talking about settling down with babies and stuff, then Bree broke up with him and took a job all the way across the ocean in Hawaii leaving him heartbroken.
Sean didn't understand how he could go from being happily in love to miserably in love within seconds but that's what happened... and he didn't see any way to fix what was wrong with his life.. Until fate intervened and caused the Bree's car to crash with her and his pregnant sister in it.
Forced to work together to save his sister and the baby she carried these doctors pushed aside their problems... but while the baby was ok his sister wasn't.
With no man in the picture to care for his nephew Sean took his nephew home from the hospital but realized with his life he couldn't do it alone, he needed help, and Bree was the only one available, whether she wanted to or not.
This was Bree's worst fears realized... helping Sean to care for a baby but for her best friend Emma she'd do anything.
Bree quickly realized that caring for the baby was more joyful then she ever imagined it could be but she still had to leave for her new job in Hawaii and her surfing career.
Once there would she finally find the happiness she craved or would she realize she had it all along back home on the mainland with Sean ? A man who never stopped loving her even after she broke his heart... a man who never looked at another woman even after she left him...a man who's kisses still left her weak at the knees!
If you enjoy medical romances Ms. Gianna is a gifted author who knows how to write them and she writes them extremely well! Reunited With His Runaway Bride is highly deserving of being read by all of you whether you are a medical romance fan or just a fan of romance, I know I've said that before but I truly mean and believe it!
So run out and grab a copy of Reunited With His Runaway Bride , another one guaranteed to tug at Medical Romance and Robin Gianna's readers alike's heartstrings then start waiting with me for her next release , The Surprise For The Doctor Prince that comes out in March... a book that can't come soon enough for this reader!!!
Where to begin? I loved it! There are so many things that I want to talk about. Maybe this one should come in pointers.
1. I loved the flow of the story 2. Loved the idea that there are times we, ourselves, do not know what we want 3. Babies! (I just love stories with babies) 4. The chemistry
The story had a pace and stuck to it. Nowhere during it did it make me feel that maybe the things should happen slowly or just why is this not moving ahead already. That is a very important factor for me. Getting this right, an author ensures that I will read until the last word.
It is a popular belief among many that one always knows what is best for them or what they want (or do not want). Thus showing that our deepest desires may be hidden by our insecurities was a plunge into psychology that I enjoyed.
Anyway, who does not like a hero who knows he loves the special woman in his life and is not afraid to be vocal about his love? A man who shows his love in every way he knows? Sigh. This is a plus point for this book (As far as I am concerned) because for the most part, men believe it is God’s word to keep their feelings hidden.
The most interesting aspect of the story for me was the existence of the baby and how Bree and Sean learned how to take care of a wee little human. How one baby can disrupt an entire household. I was all smiles at the antics of little Will and what he had these two adults do for him.
The chemistry between the two was evident from the way they looked at each, interacted with each other or touched. The thing to note, however, is that it was not overdone. It fel all natural.
What a breathtakingly exciting opening chapter! One minute just causally driving along, chit chatter then WHAMMO, everything changes!
Bree and Sean have recently separated becasue he wants a family and she doesn't. Disaster strikes and they're looking after Sean's little sister's newborn. Two people who are clearly still in love with each other are forced back into each other's lives.
It's hard to think of which point I wish to raise first. In my opinion the story was brilliance! I need to look up some new words because I will sound so cliche but firstly, the story flowed wonderfully, the setting of the scene was oustanding and the vivid medical descriptions put me ring side.
Bree and Sean were super likeable and the Robin Gianna did such an amazing job with their portrayal that I felt admirable of Bree to make her decision that lead to their break up and I was heatfelt for Sean especially when he realised he could have lost his sister, nephew AND his ex fiancee in one go! I was invested within the first couple of pages and I couldn't wait to get back to it when I was busy.
When I read a book with a plot that works, a book with such a skilled way of words putting me ringside, two characters I believed in from the beginning; when I feel every emotion under the rainbow reading the story and when I realise at the conclusion I'm all warm and fuzzy - terribly sad the ride is over, there is no question in my mind to reward Reunited With His Runaway Bride with 5 bright and shiny stars!
Reunited with His Runaway Bride by Robin Gianna Dr. Bree Donovan & Dr. Sean Latham were a couple for a while, but they realized they wanted different things. Sean always wanted a family. His father died and his father had told him to watch over his sister and his mom. Bree had both her parents alive but not together. Bree was not only a doctor but also a surfer, who competed. The only time she heard from her father was when she did something great and earned a trophy etc. (or sometimes to tell her she could have done better and what she did wrong) The only time she heard from her mother was to find out what she had coming up in her life so she could come watch her compete or such. Her mom was not interested in her life but interested in living life through her daughter. Bree picked up her friend, (Sean’s sister) at the airport. His sister is pregnant and unfortunately Bree and Sean’s sister were involved in a car accident on the way home. Sean’s sister was in so much worse shape than Bree was. Sean now needs Bree’s help more than ever – help to take care of Sean’s newborn nephew. Robin Gianna should get 10 stars and really enjoyed the story. Gave you a taste of it but for sure not the whole story.
Addicting! From page 1, you feel the deep love and conflict in this book … and it only gets better! Really enjoyed these characters and watching them fight their way back to each other.
Bree Donovan is a talented ER doctor who lives her life in ways that challenge her and make her better at everything she does. She’s in love with surgeon Sean Latham … but she broke his heart when she ended their relationship a short time ago. They want totally different things in life, and she just doesn’t see how it could ever work out.
Sean is still in love with Bree, and when his world takes a drastic turn, he comes to her for help. He is in charge of his infant nephew until his sister gets out of the hospital and needs Brees help taking care of him. They fumble their way through learning how to take care of a baby, and enjoy spending time together again. Sean wants nothing more than to get married and have a family with her, but Bree doesn’t think that life is for her. Will falling under Sean’s spell again, along with his adorable nephew’s, show Bree a different side of herself that she didn’t think was in there?
Doctor Bree isn't the family type its one of the reasons she couldn't stay with her ex. She loves her job, and surfing and is about to relocate to Hawaii things are looking good for her. After a car accident that leaves her ex needing her help with caring for his newborn nephew things start to heat up between the two.
I liked this book, it was short, sweet and heartwarming. I liked the relationship between Bree and Sean. I liked getting to see Bree slowly warm up to the idea of children or at least to his newphew. I liked it wasn't an babylove thing where all things start to stop now that a baby was temporarily in her life where she suddently doesn't have a life and is all baby all the time. I've come across way too many books like that. It's amazing how many characters loose their personality when a baby is involved in the books where the babies are temporary. Bree still enjoyed surfings and stuff she normally enjoyed, even if it delayed a bit of her time it didn't stop her plans. Not sure what else but say but this was a sweet romance and I really enjoyed reading this.
Reunited with his runaway bride by Robin Gianna is an easy flowing, very enjoyable book to read. It’s about two people loving each other deeply but they can’t see a way for them to work as a couple because they want completely different things in life.
Bree Donovan is a warm, loving woman that is exceptionally talented both as a medical doctor and a surfer. She excels at everything she takes on yet subconsciously she still craves her father’s elusive love and approval. Sean Latham is a wonderful, family oriented man and a successful surgeon. He takes care of everyone he loves and he wants to take care of Bree too, but she is fiercely independent.
I loved how the characters cherished and respected each other and made things work despite their differences. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great story with a happy ending. Robin Gianna is a splendid writer and she really outdid herself with this one.
A truly enjoyable book about Bree Donovan a doctor and surfer and Sean Latham a surgeon. These two love each other and are ready to marry when too many doubts cloud Bree's mind. She has always done the best at everything but cannot seem to please her father. This puts an extra worry on her in regard to Sean, thinking she needs to do for herself cause Sean seems to make it his business to take care of everything and everyone. Feeling she needs her freedom she breaks off with him and decides to move to Hawaii to pursue her surfing. So she heads off only to realize that even though they both want different things in life, the love for him is strong enough to envelope both of them and their dreams. A really lovely story and wonderful HEA.

This was a sweet read. The chemistry between Bree and Sean is off the charts. Bree and Sean ended their engagement badly. When they both realised they wanted different things. Forced to live together when Bree's best friend and Sean's siste is recovering from a serious car crash. Leaving Will her newborn son needing his uncle to look after him.
Bree is a born over achiever, and it's pretty obvious she does it all for her fathers approval. Can Will help her see the truth? I'm so glad they got a happy ever after, and loved the epilogue.
So I didn't even know that there was a medical romance series. I loved this story. The doctors were endearing, the story was heartbreaking, funny, sexy, and interesting. The layers to the characters had me reading this book in one sitting, hoping that they would be reunited. Bree and Sean were just wonderful. I loved it and look forward to finding more in the medical romance series. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The angst seems too unreal and the lady stubborn about her life without sean. Waste of money spent as it feels dragfest at times..with couple going hot and cold almost with every interaction..
